Is there a shortcut to "Switch Primary Mouse Button?"

    Posted: 30 Nov 2021 03:21 AM PST

After a Windows Update, I noticed my PC wasn't responding to the left mouse button as normal. It took me a while to work it out (tried replacement mouse, etc.).
Eventually I went into settings and found that the Primary Mouse button was set to Right. Switching it back solved the problem. (Settings -> Mouse -> Primary mouse button).
I'm know the PC has not been accessed by anyone physically, and I didn't open this dialogue myself, so how could it happen? (I ran a full malware scan and the PC is clean).
Is there a shortcut to switch Primary Mouse button that I might have hit by accident?

I made a program to "Fix" Windows 11 and it's available on GitHub

    Posted: 29 Nov 2021 07:57 PM PST

I built this program which I call the "Windows 11 Fixer", which contains all sorts of options to customize your Windows 11 experience.

On my personal PC I'm still running Windows 10. I made this program so that when I do choose to switch over, I won't have to spend a lot of time adjusting the settings, changing over registry values, and installing software to adjust the appearance of Windows. Instead, all I need to do is run this program, select the changes I want, and done. I decided to publish this program because I believe there are plenty of people out their who dislike some of the changes Windows has made, and with these "fixes" I believe it can resolve some of that dissatisfaction.

Check out my program on GitHub: https://github.com/99natmar99/Windows-11-Fixer

How do I upgrade from windows 10 version 1507 to 1803 without losing date

    Posted: 30 Nov 2021 05:02 AM PST

    Hello,

So I noticed that my current version of windows which is windows 10 version 1507 (im using this old version because it doesn't eat much ram as the new ones) doesn't supportDCH drivers. so im trying to upgrade it to 1803 because NVIDIA DCH Display Drivers are supported on Windows 10 x64 April 2018 Update (Version 1803 OS Build) and later versions.

Should I download the .ISO file and do "upgrade this pc" without losing any data?!

This invisible window shows up and I can't close it

This invisible window shows up and I can't close it

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so please do tell me if I should post it elsewhere.

Sometimes this invible windows shows up, and I can't close it or move it. I don't notice any major change in my computer (it doesn't feel slower or anything like that, it works as usual). but I can't click on stuff that are "behind" it.

What do you think can cause this? What should I do to remove this?

It's worth the Microsoft-Samsung partnership on "Your Phone" app?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2021 08:06 AM PST

I'm planning to buy an smartphone and Samsung is one of my options and I've seen that Microsoft has a partnership with Samsung with extra features on "Your Phone" app, like accessing to the Phone apps and the cloud clipboard sync with Windows (if there are more features, please let me know).

Knowing that these features can be "replicated" with Windows Subsystem for Android (you don't need to access to the Android apps if you have already installed on the PC) and the SwiftKey cloud clipboard, It's worth this partnership?

    RAM issues

    Posted: 30 Nov 2021 01:13 AM PST

Hi! So currently Me and a friend are having issues with out RAM. It seems the windows anti malware service is taking up a lot but we don't have the option to restart that service. It goes for my own pc and the laptop at the office I work at. For my friend's pc there's also a CMD window opening for a split second every 2 minutes referring to NSlookup and takes up all of his RAM when that happens.

Does anyone know if there's a bug in windows at the moment? My pc and laptop are on windows 11 and his pc is on windows 10

    Clean Installation Question

    Posted: 30 Nov 2021 03:56 AM PST

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to check this question. I am soon changing my build from an Intel processor to an AMD one and have been adviced to do a clean install of Windows to prevent any issues. I have an SSD that my OS is on and another 2 hard drives that hold some important to me work files. I have been told a clean install means wiping all the files, but is there any possibility I could remove the hard drives to maintain my files, do a clean install on my SSD with a fresh copy of windows, then slide the hard drives back in?
Would that cause any problems with the way my system works?

    Thank you in advance

Is Windows 11 worth upgrading to?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2021 06:20 PM PST

I can upgrade to 11 but have no idea if I should. Anyone who's got it, is it a worthwhile upgrade to Windows 10, or should I just wait?

Is there a way for Windows to recognize that my monitor is set to a different HDMI thus should not keep the display enabled?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2021 11:32 PM PST

Say I switch it to HDMI 2 because I want to play on my PS5. Windows doesn't adjust and switch to only displaying on my second monitor. I feel like this hasn't always been the case. How do I get it to work the way it should?

Edit: I'm on Windows 11, same issue when I was on 10.
