I'm done waiting for 12.5 MIUI in my Redmi Note 9 Pro, today I lost my warranty, so I'm installing a ROM, which one is the best? Help

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 03:11 PM PDT

I'm done with 12.5, it never gets to my phone, some brother told me to put Andorra in my settings but it still doesn't appear the update (12.5 MIUI Global) and I'm done with it. I'm done with MIUI, which one is the best ROM in terms of Performance, clean UI, and of course with good battery performance. I'm decided to change the ROM but not sure if I don't want MIUI, I love game space it's so useful for me, should I try MIUI.eu?

Anything I should know before changing ROM? (Haven't done this ever since 2015), Should I go for MIUI.eu?

Is there any way to install a custom rom without unlocking bootloader?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 09:13 PM PDT

I have the Indian version of miui and wanted to change to the Chinese version. There's a way to do it by unlocking bootloader and using a pc to install a custom rom, but can it be done without going through this process?

Is google pay working on miui 12?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 07:25 PM PDT

I use Google pay almost exclusively for all my payments and I had held off from updating to miui 12 because it had the bug of gpay not recognising it as a secure rom.

Has that been fixed now? I'm using the Redmi note 8 pro

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5g, haptic feedback not working all of a sudden.

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 03:32 PM PDT

As the tittle says, I love the phone budget one nice performance for the money very nice look but there are many bugs in the MIUI system. Today I have been having a problem with the haptic feedback it suddenly stopped working whatever I did it didn't work(restarted phone, enable disable vibrations I even googled a ton.

I share this with everyone who's gonna experience the same problem. I had to use my head for this... I connected my phone on charger while on 1% battery and with the battery saver on, when I disconnected it the battery saver switched off automatically but it acted like it was on(regarding haptic feedback), my phone keyboard didn't vibrate when I was typing my keyboard didn't vibrate is how I noticed something's odd.

-Apparently I had to connect the phone to charge

    -enable battery saver while charging

    -disconnect phone from charge

    -disable battery saver

    -re-enable vibrate.

now it's working, spent like 3 hours trying to fix it.

TDLR: how I managed to find the fix. Edit:spelling

Poco F3 Global: Google Pay Issue

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 06:57 PM PDT

I have had a quirky issue with my Poco F3 Global, initially I could use Google Pay without any issues. However after some time it has stopped working and the following error pops up "your device not meet security standards" I've tried everything that has been suggested changing to HCE wallet etc. I did reset it to factory which did work, but has since stopped working again. When I go to set up a new card again it also says "this phone can't be used to pay in shops. This may be because it is rooted or altered in some way". Is this related to the automatic bootloader unlock?

Cannot update small thumbnail photos or profile pics in certain apps

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 05:54 PM PDT

    Hi

I have a problem with my Xiaomi Mi11i with the global 12.5.4 OS version where I can't set up any background or profile pics in certain apps.

For example Reddit and numerous other apps completely ignores when I select a photo from library and doesn't update it, but then for some very strange reason Whatsapp works fine.

Is there a setting I am missing?

Problem with redmi note 10 pro max

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 10:05 AM PDT

    (Reposting again because no response)

Phone Name: Redmi Note 10 Pro Max

Hey there! Im having a problem with the Always-On-Display function on my phone.

The problem is that, it's not always on display.

There is a setting that allows the always on display to function for only 10 seconds.

But here's the thing, You cannot turn it off.

And Im stuck here with 10Seconds-On-Display.

And apparently this is the case for every single redmi note 10 pro max phone out there.

And there's a way to get around it actually.

That to turn off the miui optimization in the developers option, you may think then whats the problem?

Well, turning off that completely fucks up some things, like you cannot select up a photo to edit on a photo editor, like yes very oddly specific problems do occur.

Due to this, im stuck with 10Seconds-On-Display

This is a VERY big problem, and i expect to be given a option to just turn off that 10 seconds setting in the next update.

The setting that cannot be turned off

Does mi 11 lite 5g come with a pre installed screen protector?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 12:54 PM PDT

It kinda looks like it has one pre installed, I scratched mine a bit but I'm not really sure if it's a screen protector or the actual screen. It looks like it can be peeled off.

How do I slow charge a 9T if all I have is the 18W 10v charger it came with it?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 01:32 PM PDT

Is there a setting I'm missing to change between the charging modes?

Do I have to get another power brick to do that?

Do 2A 5v chargers from old phones work? I'm kind of afraid to test it!

The reason is that it gets too hot while charging, not even games like pubg don't get it even close as hot as charging it does!

Well I gess that's what you get when you want quick charge, but what the slow charge alternative?

I tried both of data transfer methods but both of the times I were unable to locate said folders. I'm pretty sure I searched through every folder but they were no were to be found.
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Battery health at 92,7% after 6 weeks - normal?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2021 04:14 AM PDT

I have a POCO F3 that I've purchased 6 weeks ago. I've dialed the code *#*#6485#*#* to check my battery health by diving the current battery capacity for the factory battery capacity and then by multiplying that result by 100 and it was at 92.7%. Is it normal after about 6 weeks of use with the phone?
