I went to settings, went to Audio (it says Audio Profiles for my phone, which is BLU G5) My only options are General, Silent, Vibration, Outdoor, Volumes,.and Shortcut To Prevent Ringing. None of those give me an option to change notification or ringtone! I even searched ringtone and clicked on the result, but it just redirects me back to Audio Profiles, still no option to change it. Posted: 29 Sep 2021 11:33 AM PDT My phone battery is dead after 10 hours idle time (screen off, no calls, no Wifi, cell signal available). My feeling is that this is not right, other Android phones (Samsung A series, Motorola) have half-full batteries after a long day. What can I do to investigate or fix this? Of course, every phone has a different set of apps, there's some background activity and idle WiFi/cell/Bluetooth eats some battery to some degree depending on signal strength, but I feel that my phone consumes more than it should. Apps that have a setting governing background use, I'm routinely setting to sync on AC. Other than messengers and email notifications I don't need my phone to do anything while idle. | Weird Photo Taken/Appeared on my Phone? Posted: 29 Sep 2021 10:27 PM PDT I have a Huawei P30 Pro and was taking a video of my dog howling and decided to play with him. Afterwards, I go inside and try to find the video of my dog howling but found this weird image taken shortly after I came back in. I found this was very odd, and decided to click on the information button to see more details about the image. Usually my phone says what type of camera was used, like pro, or normal, but this came up empty for the weird photo. I also went back into my camera after checking this, and the settings were still on video, so I am not sure how it could've moved to camera. Also it was sunny at the time the photo was taken. I have done a full Malwarebytes scan and it came back with nothing, so if anybody has an idea what this could be or could've happened please let me know. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 29 Sep 2021 09:59 PM PDT I have a Galaxy A01 and no matter what I try I cannot mute the call tone on snapchat. Phone can be on vibrate or mute with all sliders (ringtone, media, notifications and system) set to zero and the call tone will still play full volume. I have the ring option turned off in the in app notification settings. I have even tried the show silently option in my phones app notification settings, not ideal and it doesn't make a difference anyway! the only way I have been able to silence it is to plug in headphones. all other sc notifications seem to work properly. | Posted: 29 Sep 2021 08:55 PM PDT Hey guys, so I'm making the leap from iPhone to an android device and me and my fiancé share an iCloud account and we use the find my app built in on iPhones not only to see where each others phones are but the "find" button as like an alarm to get the others attention when our phones may be on silent. Is there an app like this for android devices? The biggest thing is being able to press a button and it have a sound play on the others phone. [link] [comments]  |
| Samsung Galaxy S21 FE vibrates while charging. Posted: 29 Sep 2021 08:44 PM PDT Perhaps once a minute, maybe less, maybe more - my phone vibrates while charing. To me, this means the charging cable, the block, or the actual charging port is faulty. THOUGHT that the new charging cable was working fine, but I've been setting my phone to charge and walking away from it, now I'm realizing that it keeps vibrating like once a minute and the screen lights up for a moment. Is this standard for samsung galaxy s fe? I just got this phone. I ordered it, it was open box. Now I'm wondering if it was returned because of this? the phone is less than a month old. I am going to have to contact samsung and ask them if the phone is supposed to do this, then if not I believe I have 3 month warranty something tells me this is somehow going to cost me money uggggggh [link] [comments]  |

| LG Velvet 5G audio stuck in 'in call' - please help Posted: 29 Sep 2021 06:02 PM PDT Hey brains trust. So 3 days ago I think there was an update to the software for my LG Velvet 5G. Since then, all audio has been pushed through the 'in call' mode, lowering volume and quality. I have since done a factory reset, which worked for about a day, but the problem then started again. It struggles to connect to Bluetooth attachments also as the phone is picking up the call and just pushing audio through that too. I've started to delete apps and make sure all of the current apps are up to date but still, no luck. Any ideas? Its like there is a bug in the latest software that is over riding all audio output information but I've no idea how to fix it 😥 Thanks in advance [link] [comments]  |
| Does unlocking boot loader allow to install older versions of Stock firmware ? Posted: 29 Sep 2021 01:54 PM PDT I want to downgrade to 5.1.1 Lollipop on my Note5 (N920I) which is currently updated to the final version for that device which is 7.0 Nougat. But After some research it seems this is not possible to downgrade once the bootloader version changes. The Lollipop firmware I want has N920IDVU2AOJD, while the current Nougat installed has N920IDVU5CRH2, so essentially this cannot be done then? But then I read about unlocking the bootloader. And in fact this is how custom ROMs are installed, right? So then, can it be done to unlock the bootloader for the purpose of installing the orignial Lollipop firmware? Is this not the same process as one would do to install, say, LineageOS, but instead of going the LineageOS route, opting for the factory firmware instead? Or am I way off base here? I just find it hard to believe it is impossible to downgrade to Lollipop, but that is what I am finding when I read around. So how is it that unlocking the bootlader cannot make it possible? | Can't change app permissions - permission manager display issues? Posted: 29 Sep 2021 03:07 PM PDT Hello all, Tried googling around this issue but can't seem to find anyone else who has a similar issue. I have a Moto G Stylus through MetroPCS it's maybe a year and a half, 2 years old running Android 11. Since the last version update, I'm unable to check or change my app permissions due to some weird formatting error that changes the way the settings are displayed. I attached a link to an imgur folder below with a few screenshots of what I'm seeing when I navigate to app permissions within settings. Due to the way it's oddly formatted and displayed it's hard for me to navigate the menu to see what I need to see. When I try to tap any of the permission boxes it seems to highlight the box it's in but doesn't actually do anything. Trying to select a box or tapping too many times will just close the permission manager and send me back to the apps & notifications menu. I tried downloading a permission manager app hoping I could just view or change the settings that way but unfortunately it has to go through the system permission manager so I end up back in the same place. Strange issue that I've only started seeing that I can recall since the last Android update. If anyone has any information as to how I can rectify this I would definitely appreciate it! Edit: just for additional info, I thought the problem may have been caused by the fact that I enlarged the system font size recently, however after playing around with the font sizes it appears to have no effect on the display issues. | Issues downloading apps on Play Store, persisting after factory reset Posted: 29 Sep 2021 10:22 AM PDT Hey folks, I'm having issues downloading and updating apps on the Play Store on my Samsung A50. I found multiple articles and tried every potential solution (clearing cache data, removing my google account, etc) with no success. I ended up factory resetting my phone and still have the same issue. Apps will start to download right after a restart but that's it, I can usually only get a few downloaded before they get stuck and the rest are "pending". I am unable to update any apps and they are all stuck on "pending". My being on WiFi or data doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm at a loss for what to do, any help is appreciated. | Unknown disappearing notification icon Posted: 29 Sep 2021 01:45 PM PDT I just noticed a strange notification that showed quickly, vibrated the phone, and cleared itself from the notification panel before I could swipe it down to see what it was. It looked like a sphere with an arrow going across the middle from left to right. It came up shortly after I hit the mark as read icon on a text message notification but I don't know if it is related to that since I have hit mark a read many times before and never saw that notification before. There have been points where I felt the phone buzz from a notification but didn't see anything recent when I looked at the notification panel. So it may have come up before but I hadn't been able to get the phone oit of my pocket fast enough to notice. Not sure though. Im unsure what the icon means or if I should be concerned that it clears itself. And ideas? Phone is a Moto G6 on simple mobile. says it's updated to Android 9 [link] [comments]  |

It's still connected to internet, shows notifications, and can be called and ring. However, I want to access the files on the phone but the screen doesn't respond to any touches so I can't get in it. I tried to connect a computer to it (through usb to charging point) in order to transfer files but it doesn't let me transfer files because it requires me to enter passcode, however, my phones touch screen is unresponsive so it doesn't let me enter passcode. Is there some computer app that lets me control the phone and enter passcode on the computer or something? Does anyone know how I can still retrieve the files? I got a new phone so I probably wont need my old phone but I want to access my photos and other files. [link] [comments]  |

After searching online I'm a bit overwhelmed by the choice of android phones. I hoped any of you with more knowledge on the subject could suggest me a phone based on my wishes. Currently the oneplus Nord 2 caught my attention, but i am a bit disappointed in its screen resolution Wishes: -budget phone, around €350-400 -i don't need a good camera, ideally the camera is as bad as possible to cheapen the phone -preferably higher or similar screen res as my previous phone (3120 x 1440px) -a long battery life is very important to me -CPU doesn't have to be top tier, i don't really use heavy apps/games. | Posted: 29 Sep 2021 06:48 AM PDT I have a Samsung Galaxy S10, using the default Samsung clock app. So I'm pretty pissed right now. Title basically says it all, woke up late this morning for work, phone battery still full, my work alarm was not turned off, nothing... it's like it just didn't go off at all for no reason. I do have "Do Not Disturb" set for 11pm-7am. Alarm is set to go off at 7:10am, so I don't see how that could possibly affect it. turned it off moving forwards anyways just in case. I had an "update postponed" notification this morning as well. could that have somehow caused it to glitch out? Also had a couple facebook messenger notifications this morning, but I don't see how that could possibly affect it. I tested the alarm and it seems to be working fine now, no issues. WTF happened???? Anyone else have this happen to them? Now I'm gonna be fucking paranoid trying to sleep thinking my alarm isn't going to go off in the morning. [link] [comments]  |
