Will it still work to today’s requirements? Posted: 28 Sep 2021 11:57 AM PDT Hello Reddit, I have a Toshiba Satelite L45-B from 2013. Sadly it catched some conficker virus and i sort of fixed but I want to factory reset it. I want to also update it to windows 10, play some warzone with medium graphic levels, and use some editing programs for music and animation like blender. Will it work? It is 64bits, i5-4210U, 8Gb RAM, 921Gb HDD and AMD Radeon Graphics but it doesn't specify number [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Sep 2021 11:57 AM PDT Guys I got myself a Maingear element 2 laptop from Microcenter. The charging and everything was working fine in the first week but until a couple of weeks ago something went wrong So the laptop wouldn't take charge when it is powered on anymore so I figured it must be the drivers. Reinstalled them, no results. Then I notice that my charging brick was emitting an intermittent noise that sounds to be coil whine. I inspected further to find that the charging light was flickering that doesn't follow any patterns. I have since tried a new power cable but it still shows the same problem Is this a case of just bad AC brick or is this an issue with the batter inside my laptop? [link] [comments]

What laptop to buy for learning coding/programming, playing FORZA horizon 5 and wii u emulators? Posted: 28 Sep 2021 05:51 AM PDT I'm in the market for a new laptop, I will use it for school, coding/programming and some gaming but I was wondering if I really need a gaming laptop just to do the things listed above, I will probably play casually (1-3 hours) and focus more on learning coding and programming. I've seen some laptops and think a Zaphyrus g14-15 would be good for me but I may be wrong. My budget is 1000 pounds (maybe a few pounds higher but no more than 100) and am planning to buy on black Friday or Christmas sale (whenever it costs the least). [link] [comments]
M16 black screen fans full speed Posted: 28 Sep 2021 12:50 PM PDT I just got an m16 laptop brand new updated the bios and restarted the computer and now it's a black screen and the fans are at full speed [link] [comments]
Macbook Pro 2018 (I7 version) VS Dell XPS 13 2021 (I7 version) Posted: 28 Sep 2021 09:03 AM PDT Hi there, I'm currently trying to assess whether the new Dell XPS 13 (2021 version, with an I7 processor) could be a good replacement for my current Macbook Pro (I7 version also, but from 2018). I'm currently doing a web developer job, so using a lot of CPU and RAMs (at least to power my multiple browsers + IDE). As it's quite hard for me to get the real world specs for those two laptops (Macbook CPU is not really well specified, and, Dell XPS performance heavily depends on power consumption, more than raw CPU performance), I'd like to get your point of view. Best, [link] [comments]
Spectre convertible vs Envy laptop Posted: 28 Sep 2021 12:29 PM PDT Hello there, I work currently in Kuwait and I want to buy one of those two however the price difference is huge since both have the same specs. Does only being a convertible increases the price that much or what I read that the Envy series has major QC problems? In other words is the Spectre really that good or is it just branding? Lenovo Legion 5 (GTX 1660 Ti vs RTX 3050ti) Posted: 27 Sep 2021 09:04 PM PDT I am really confused about which of these offers should I go with:
NOTE: the Second is 421$(EDIT:180$) CHEAPER, so is it worth it to give up all these specs for the GPU difference?[link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Sep 2021 12:15 PM PDT im using right now a ideapad 5 pro with 1tb ssd, 16 ram and a gtx 3050 and i thought that (even tho it isnt a gaming laptop) it should have decent gaming power. So i was playing Risk of Rain 2, a game that isnt to power hungry and got only around 20-30 fps and was sooo damn confused. I tried working with the video settings for so long but nothing changed. Then i saw that my laptop had only about 23% left. I told myself, well just let it charge and go ask later on reddit for help. I connected the charger and in an instant my fps jumped to 60fps (i locked the game at 60fps) and i was like WHAT?!?!!? Then i realized the laptops probably limit the power usage without charger to prevent the laptop from shutting down in half a hour and just had to laught. Then i realized Thing Nr.2: My laptop has a damn 2560 x 1600 screen and the game automatically set the resolution to that and i didnt notice it.... I was used to 1920x1080 from my pc and didnt even thought about it.... So yeah, all in all it was a good experience xD [link] [comments]
Hey guys newbie question here, what is a good cheap multimedia machine Posted: 28 Sep 2021 12:13 PM PDT Hey I'm guys I'm looking to buy a laptop that is good for school work and some light gaming (Minecraft type stuff). [EU - CZE] I need a laptop for school work around 980 € Posted: 28 Sep 2021 11:33 AM PDT Hi. I need a laptop for stuff like AutoCAD, PSP, indesign, sketchup... It should meet these requirements: Core i7 or better or it's AMD equivalent, dedicated GPU with 4 or more gigs of memory and ideally a 1 TB SSD. Until now, I found Lenovo IdeaPad Gamig 3, ROG strix G15 (2021) or MSI GF63 Thin. It'd be best if it weren't secondhand devices as it's kinda big money for me and I'm not sure if I can find reputable sellers. Thanks in advance for your help [link] [comments]

any good specs (where I can run at least games like GTA V and code too) at low prices? Posted: 28 Sep 2021 10:04 AM PDT I am looking for laptops that don't have to be around 1 lakh (in INR) or really cheap either. Mid budget and good specs which can work for a long duration too. It will be a huge help! Thank you in advance. It should be able to code, and maybe a little digital art and stuff, and also I can run games that are not latest but not that old either. Help needed regarding HP Spectre Posted: 28 Sep 2021 09:56 AM PDT Hey guys, I'm getting an HP Spectre x360 14t, and I was wondering if nits make a difference in battery life. There are 2 options, one that is 400 nits, and one that is 1000 nits with a built in privacy screen (they're both the same resolution at 1920x1280). I was wondering if choosing the 1000 nits option will make any difference on my battery life since that is pretty important to me. Does anyone know if I'll lose battery life if I choose the 1000 nits option? [link] [comments]

Leave laptop on to download file while at work? Posted: 28 Sep 2021 09:36 AM PDT Is it ok to leave my laptop on while I'm at work? I work for about 7 hours today and I have several files I'm trying to import to my laptop, it's going to take several hours to do and wanted to make sure it was safe to do? Usually I put my laptop in sleep mode while at work but wanted to make sure it's ok to leave it on for a extended period. My room does not get hot snd I usually have a fan running nearby that I can leave on while I'm at work. Just wanna make sure it's ok to leave on while working. [link] [comments]
