It is super important that I am able to make the screens refresh rate 30hz. I am not the most tech savvy person out there, but I will do anything needed be. If rooting is necessary, I will do it. I have tried looking for any bit of info on how to accomplish this, but I can't seem to find anything. I see tons of videos and tutorials on how to increase your phones refresh rate, but nothing on how to lower it. I appreciate any and all help very greatly! [link] [comments]  |
| Morning alarm cancels itself immediately Posted: 01 Sep 2021 04:04 PM PDT I'm on a Google Pixel 2 and I noticed my alarm wasn't going off in the mornings so I would just sleep straight through. I tried to replicate it by setting an alarm for 1 minute's time and the alarm turned on, vibrated for around one pulse, and then just disappeared as though it were never there. (I have it set to vibrate first then fade in a Spotify playlist) However when I tried to replicate it again, it worked perfectly. Most of the time when I try and replicate it, it works fine but only occasionally it cancels itself like it does every morning. I have tried all sort of different things with toggling DND or bedtime mode and other stuff that I might be doing each night differently from when I'm trying to replicate it but it's very hard to draw any kind of link between possible factors and what is happening. I would really appreciate any help because I love the Spotify alarm and hate sleeping through my alarm, so this is very frustrating. [link] [comments]  |

How can I mirror it to my PC to try and see the screen? I've tried connecting to my computer via USB->USB-C but I think its locked, also tried HDMI->USB-C to my TV and that didn't work. | System file has become all-consuming leviathan Posted: 01 Sep 2021 09:02 PM PDT Hi team. I got my phone wet the other day (put in wash by well meaning spouse). We took it to a ubreakifix shop and all that. Remarkably, it is still functioning. There's a little repeating clicking sound that happens any time the speaker is activated, but the issue is that now my system file is gobbling up all of my available storage. For the first time, my phone told me it was running out of space, so I deleted some old, big apps. But the system file grew to consume that freed up space too. It's like Little Otik, if anyone out there is a Jan Švankmajer fan. At the time of this writing, the system file is using 209 gb and has left so little space (i.e. 0 bytes) that I am not able to open my messages program. The only thing I've done to fix it is delete programs and media (which just feeds the file) and restarting the phone. Does anyone know what this is or how to fix it? I have a new phone arriving in a few days, but I'd like to be able to text until then. It's a t-mobile oneplus 8t+5g. Thank you! [link] [comments]  |

I've been unable to figure out how to move apps to the SD card. I go to Settings > Apps and enter individual apps, selecting Storage, but there's no option to move them. | S21 5G "No face detected" randomly while charging. Posted: 01 Sep 2021 07:44 PM PDT When i have my S21 plugged in and charging, just sitting on my desk, every so often (maybe every minute or two) the lock screen comes on, face id goes "No face detected", the phone vibrates once, and the battery % comes on the middle of the screen, then it goes dark again. Unsure whats causing it to randomly attempt to unlock itself, and it only attempts to do so while plugged in and charging. Happens regardless if the phone is face up or face down. I assume it has to do with it being charged, using the cable that came with my galaxy 8 (usb a to usb c) plugged into a built in usb-a port on my desk. Any help appreciated, Thanks. Apps Posted: 01 Sep 2021 06:52 PM PDT I recently switched from iPhone to the Samsung galaxy fold 3 and found that after making a few purchases, any new transactions suddenly cannot be completed. I live in the US, have sufficient funds, and have no blocks on my credit, debit, or PayPal. Payments will work on initial set up, but will randomly stop working after a while. Things I have tried :

When I set up my phone, I did disable Amber alerts as I am a college student who doesn't drive, but I did leave everything else enabled. | Is there an alternative to the One UI share screen? Posted: 01 Sep 2021 12:02 PM PDT Whenever I share through any app I get the default share options on my Galaxy note20. This screen has a lot of issues for me. The suggested contacts are always people I never speak to. A lot of the apps I use the most to share to like discord and snapchat have multiple entries on this screen. If i pick the wrong one, I get an error which causes even more issues. Is there an app I can use to substitute this screen, similar to how you can use a different home screen compared to One UI? If not, are there settings to make this share section more bareable? Posted: 01 Sep 2021 05:10 PM PDT When I first downloaded the Google Phone app on my OnePlus 6T, there was a Voicemail tab at the bottom that displayed my voicemails. That tab has since disappeared and I can only check my voicemails through the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app. I am also constantly getting a "syncing voicemails" notification from the Phone app, but they're never displayed in the app. Anyone know how to get them to display in the app again or is it impossible because of the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app being installed? Posted: 01 Sep 2021 05:03 PM PDT Hello, recently my keyboard app has not been working and it locked me out of my phone because I can't pull up the keyboard. Is there a way I can get rid of it or disable the app with remote function? If I could project the phone onto my PC with a charging cable that would be cool, but I'm not experienced in that so I would appreciate some advice on how to do it. I can't unlock the phone by itself. The only thing keeping me from doing that is again the keyboard so if I can project the phone onto my monitor I could enter my password with my computer keyboard, uninstall the keyboard app, and fix the problem. I also tried recovery mode to clear cache but that didn't seem to fix it. Restarting additionally did not fix the problem yet either. Just to clarify, nothing about the phone is broken (screen, touch, etc) so the only thing keeping me out is an app which I need to get rid of. Any help? [link] [comments]  |
| Multiple Android Devices Photos/Videos sync to one Google Drive Posted: 01 Sep 2021 04:49 PM PDT My wife and I both have Pixel phones (2XL for her, 4a for me) and I pay monthly for a separate Drive account (which is unlimited) where we can backup our videos/photos from the DLSR and just other files. We've both maxed out our free storage allowed on our devices for original quality so is there a way to sync both out phones to the same Drive? I can select this account in the Photos app and it syncs just fine but I think if I got my wife to do the same it would be a complete mess. I use the little Google search bar at the bottom of my home page. Sometimes when I search for an app, the app shows up. However, I have over $2 grand of music that I've compiled over years of having an iPod and iPhone. I don't want to lose that investment and just switch to a streaming service. I really, really like my music and I've spent a lot of time gathering a huge amount that I really enjoy. I don't want to start from scratch to recreate my library. Now that Google Play Music is gone, is there any way at all to still listen to my music on an Android device and continue to buy songs the way I like? I suppose I could pay for Apple Music and do it that way, but would I still be able to buy from iTunes through that service and store it on my Android device? I really don't want to be reliant on paying for a streaming service in order to listen to my music (as my finances can sometimes be tricky, I'd rather just ... own it outright.)
