- Why does Microsoft try to compete with phones? They seem determined to make PCs as distracting as possible with useless apps. Nobody would choose to look at TikTok on their PC if they already had it on their phone.

Windows 7 to Windows 10 for DLL's Posted: 30 Sep 2021 07:39 AM PDT Good day, I'm asking if i Upgrade my Windows 7 to win 10, will i able to resolve my Missing DLL's? It has some apps that won't open due to DLL's are missing, and i don't trust the DLL copy and paste thing that you download from google. I'm currently cleaning my old PC so that my relatives can use it to Play some games. so that they won't bother me to use my rig. I also noticed that i can't install some vcredist 2015, it keeps giving me an error before it gets completed. It seems to me that my OS is outdated or i had the wrong copy.. since it wont scan for updates. I'm kinda anxious about upgrading the PC as well, because it might slow down. It only have 4gb of ram and a 3.50Ghz CPU(forgot the brand). it has no GPU. I see no reason not to upgrade as well, but my friend insisted that a Driver installation and System restore might fix it - Since im kind of anxious about it. But if there's no choice, i can go for Win10. TL;DR - Read the Bold part PS: Bear with me but i'm kinda newbie to OS stuffs. But i know how computer works. I'm just hesitant as well because of the files that i have to Back up/Put it in other storage. The PC was slow, could imagine how will it take to transfer my files to partitioned Hard disk and Install a new windows. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Sep 2021 04:47 PM PDT I actually found a solution to this problem that I literally couldn't find anywhere. Specifically, I had my bluetooth headphone connected but they wouldn't play my note audio in OneNote; however, it wasn't corrupted when on my surface speakers. I have two solutions.
Go to your settings, type features, click Apps and Features, click more features, then install media player. If the feature isn't there go to your browser and type in Windows 10 N Media Player Feature Download.
Go to the bottom right had of your screen while your headphones are connected, click on the volume icon, then above or below the. slider there should be a drop down menu, click the other headphone audio. If this doesn't work for you make sure your sound settings are also switched speakers. Apologies if this didn't work for you. All I know is, this was a bitch to find and I saw others also had this problem with no answers [link] [comments]
Considering doing early upgrade to 11. Got a few quick questions. Posted: 30 Sep 2021 03:37 AM PDT So basically the title. About to get the most up to date version of 11 which from reading around seem to be the one that will be released on the 5th and I got a few questions. I'm running on a legit activated copy of 10, should I do the upgrade first, so that 11 is activated and then do a clean install (I prefer clean installs) or will it automatically be activated by my MS account? Also anybody have any issues with steam, AMD GPU drivers, EA Origin, Uplay etc? Obviously gonna reinstall all my games and such, but don't want to upgrade if people are having any issues. Lastly, I like to just power on my pc and have it go straight to desktop. Does the feature to go into netplwiz still function so i can remove the login screen? Any info is appreciated. Posted: 30 Sep 2021 10:40 AM PDT Hey the final build for Windows 11 has come out for insiders and I was wondering if it's worth the upgrade. I have a high spec rig and I'm wondering if my performance will be affected with the update? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Sep 2021 04:15 AM PDT When trying to get into my laptop, Helllo says, fingerprint needed. "something went wrong." then says PIN is needed. "You are offline." password needed. but gives no password box to enter password. Since When do i need all three for laptop access? and when did online have anything to do with me accessing offline laptop functions?thanks [link] [comments]
Windows 10 or 11 performance on Athlon 200GE? Posted: 30 Sep 2021 07:12 AM PDT Pretty much the title. I'm building a pc for my cousin with some parts I have left over and a few purchased ones. I have a 200GE that I bought when I needed a cpu in a pinch. I have 12 gigs of crucial ballistix 2400mhz (4 and 8 gb sticks) and a 500 gb kingston ssd that laying around after going all nvme. Buying psu, case and a cheap a320 board next week. Anybody have long term experience with such a cpu and windows 10? I'm asking about basic day to day experience. Stuff like YT, office, and the like. This is NOT for heavy gaming at most he might play left 4 dead, castle crashers and a few other small co-op games on pc (he's a console guy). He's currently using some old pc from like 2008 or something that has a sempron and like 3 gigs or ram, so he obviously doesn't care about the latest and greatest. Just want to know will a 200GE handle the basics on W10 (or 11) pretty smoothly. Also this is based on already having many of the parts on hand. Not going to spend more for potentially higher performance. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Sep 2021 02:28 AM PDT ive been searching online and keep getting conflicting answers, people are saying 'oct 5', others are saying 'oct 11' and some even saying 'mid 2022' due to them 'staggering' the release? anyone have an understanding on when Win11 will be officially released and available for the public? Posted: 29 Sep 2021 08:22 PM PDT I bought a genuine copy of windows 8.1 years ago, i then upgraded it to windows 10 for free (when that option was still a thing). Now, with the looming date of the release of windows 11, and more importantly, the fact that i want to format my machine (which would wipe my windows 10), i began to wonder. Can i use my original windows 8.1 product key to activate a fresh install of windows 10? (and what about windows 11)? All answer would be greatly appreciated [link] [comments]
