Posted: 18 Sep 2021 02:14 PM PDT Hello everyone, I'm looking for some help please! I encrypted a bunch of my drives using Windows 10 pro, and while this works on all the external and internal drives I encrypted, for some reason one of my internal drives (which had worked a couple times after encrypting) is now displaying the following message when I try to open it: "The BitLocker encryption on this drive isn't compatible with your version of Windows. Try opening the drive using a newer version of Windows." I've tried Googling the hell out of this and there are all these programs that can allegedly help open but they look like spamware. The fix on Microsoft's site (using the command line approach) doesn't fix it, I just get an error that it can be accessed or something like that. Is there a legitimate software tool that can help me unlock/decrypt the drive? Any other ideas on how to address this? Thank you in advance. [link] [comments]

Posted: 17 Sep 2021 04:49 PM PDT I have a brand new Seagate Ironwolf Pro 16TB hard drive and some of my files on it now show as "file" under file type with a size of 0kb. When I try to delete them it gives me an error 0x80070570 saying the file/folder is corrupted and unreadable. I am not able to delete the file. I ran chkdsk to scan the drive for errors and it found nothing. Same with a virus scan and SFC. Thoughts? [link] [comments]
Images ive shared on reddit showing on google images under different URLs Posted: 17 Sep 2021 03:20 PM PDT Not sure whether this is the correct subreddit for my question, but hopefully it is - im not sure where to ask if not My username is relatively uncommon and i use it or variations of it across multiple platforms, so when i google it the images that come up are from my own social medias which is to be expected, what i wasnt really expecting to see was images ive posted solely on reddit with unknown urls underneath, ill attatch imgur links to show what i mean. But when i click on the images to go to the sotes the sites dont load, one goes to a blank page and the other shows an error message This shows images that link to a website called myanmar good news travels This shows 2 of my images which link to a russian? website This is the webpage result for myanmar good news travels This is the webpage for ostrovskij-prichal.ru Edit to add: ive never heard of these sites before Looking into the sites further, myanmar good news travel appears to have been a travel agency up until 2019 (last social media activity) while Ostrovskij Prichal is a website for a Russian hotel which appears to still be active [link] [comments]
Window's settings auto-selecting furthest option to the right Posted: 17 Sep 2021 05:37 PM PDT I have no idea what's going on and I'm willing to buy gold to whoever knows how to fix it. Whenever I click in Cortana (window's search bar) or use Window's 10 settings, it automatically selects an options than proceeds to cycle to the right. It'll stay stuck on the last option. I've tried to restart computer, restore point, sfc scan now in powershell, repair system image, and finally I've reset my PC to factory default but it is STILL happening. Please let me know if anyone has had this issue and fixed it. It recently started happening when I got the latest window's update. Edit: Fixed useing Windows Repair AIO on Windows Repair Tool [link] [comments] |
