    Greetings Y'all,

    If you follow such things you just read that Xiaomi has taken the #2 spot globally in sales.

    This is where iTrolls dance and grin and proclaim Apple is #1 in profits -- 'which is all that matters' they say. Yes. I know that. I get it.

    But when I saw this list I wasn't paying full attention. The list shows Samsung first, Xiaomi second, Apple 3rd, Oppo 4th and Vivo 5th.

    But if you add Oppo and Vivo sales together... since they're owned by the same company... they are actually #1. Meaning Xiaomi really #3 and Apple is #4 Worldwide.

    If you ever follow Chevy, Buick, GMC and Cadillac sales... at first glance... they may not impress. But when you remember they're all GM... they're a little more impressive. Even against a Toyota they can come in a second or close third.

    It is my belief that Oppo/Vivo/Xiaomi are on the brink of making people realize they don't need to carry $1000 phones around. That it's a scam. I'm very happy with my brand new 'disposable' 'whoops I dropped it' 'where did I leave it' Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite.

    It's not disposable. It's not crap. It's just all the phone I need for $318.

    So what's the workaround here. It's a waste of the phone really. The game I'm trying to play is WildRift. Previously one could edit the settings file but now they encrypted the file and is no longer editable (Good job rito)

    Question about ROM's

    Hello! I have a Pocophone f1 and overall I am very pleased with it. I have had it for a few years but I notice that the battery seems to drain faster (as expected I know but lately it seems really fast) and sometimes it feels slow/sluggish.

    I found that some people recommend using a different ROM, however I know absolutely nothing about custom ROMS or why it would be beneficial at all.

    I tried to read up about the subject but it seems rather difficult finding something that will help what also still allows me to use the apps/functions that I want. The apps/functions that I want are:

    • Banking app
    • Face unlock feature
    • Google Camera (already installed.)
    • Google apps
    • Would like to keep phone numbers/WhatsApp things saved.

    I read that Xiaomi.eu or Pixel Experience + seem to be preferred. I also read about Lineage OS.

    If someone could help me with answering a few of my questions it would be great. Thanks a lot in advance!

    File sharing to PC

    Hi. I used to own a Samsung and it had the nice 'samsung flow ' app that used wifi direct to send big files quickly. Now i have Xiaomi redmi note 10. It has the ' shareme ' app but I can't find the pc version of it. I tried the share nearby option but my laptop doesn't pick it up. Is there any way to use the app on pc( not emulating on bluestack) or is there any better app that uses WiFi-direct to transfer files?

    Updated my RN7 to MiUI 12.5 and I have issues

    A lot of the main screen animations has gone and I can't access the settings I can search. For example I see the option about full screen bottom bar but I can't use it. Does anyone else have this problem too?

    Instagram and Facebook Messenger notifications don't work

    So basically Instagram just doesn't send me notifications and sometimes occasionally it does bit only when I open the app,and messenger just bombards me with notifs when I open it but it doesn't show them when the apps are closed. I checked the settings both on the phone and the apps themselves and nothing's wrong there.I am using a Redmi Note 8 Pro.Please help

    Xiaomi Mi 9 turns off and only turns on after some hours

    I don't know what is happening. I have had this cellphone since 2019 and never had any problem with it. Yesterday, in the morning, my cellphone turned off (I tried to charge but nothing happened). As I was working and didn't have time, I couldn't do anything to fix it, so I waited the next day (today). When I woke up, I tried to charge and it worked, the phone turned in again. After some hours, the cellphone turned off and turned on only 1h later. Now, 8h after that, it turned off again and I can't turn it on. Can someone help me?

    It's not the battery, when it is turned on the phone has the same battery as before

    I already tried to fastboot

    It wasn't heating up

    The cellphone is not on, the vibrations doesn't react when I touch it

    Lock screen problem

    Hi, I've had this problem for quite a while i think but I only noticed it now, whatever wallpaper I set, the lock screen is pretty stretched out, the home screen is normal, just tje lock screen is stretched, thanks in advance :)

    Just got the Redmi note 10 pro!

    I'm loving this phone so far and it's so smooth compared to my LG v20 that I had been using for nearly 5 years now.

    It flies through the UI and I like Miui compared to what LG skin that I've been using and no need for any launcher so far.

    The Big upgrades that I noticed easily were the screen and the Battery life.

    • It is brighter and better looking IMO.
    • The battery lasts much longer than what I'm used to and don't need to charge it every night since it charges fast.

    The Cameras are much better too which I like.

    I have had no issues so far after updating to the latest software version and I'm impressed with my first Xiaomi phone.

    Question regarding Xiaomi.eu rom on Redmi 9T

    Are there any Redmi 9T or well experienced users who are using Xiaomi.eu custom rom? I got a few questions regarding it

    • How is it's performance?
    • Battery life better or worse than stock MiUi?
    • Were you able to reflash stock MiUi without any issues? Does flashing the global rom erase ur IMEI? And do I need to lock the bootloader of the device when I'm flashing stock rom?
    • It is really worth it risking the device warranty to unlock the bootloader?
    • Did all the cameras work as they did on stock rom?
    • Does fast charging work?
    • Are the updates provided by it OTA and do they install automatically like the stock rom? Or do I have to do a dirty flash to update the rom?
    • Does flashing the rom erase your device IMEI? (Had an issue like this on a Samsung device)
    • Your general opinion about the rom and whether should I install it on mine

    And lastly

    • Can someone guide to do this properly as this is my 1st Xiaomi device

    If the mi pad 5 has 120hz refresh rate, does that mean it will have latency as low as Samsung s7 and iPad pro ?

    I just recently got back my redmi 9T from a xiaomi repair shop, its working fine. However i can't access genshin impact or call of duty mobile due to "internet issues" despite me having a perfectly fine internet connection(i even tested playing roblox and that works fine)

    My Redmi Note 7 recently turned 2yo and I have noticed that RAM usage, which was always ~50%, is now 20-30%. I haven't removed anything and haven't updated. Though, can't say that it saves me any battery. Just disturbs me. (MIUI Global 12.0.3)

    12.5.1 guestures not working on Mi 9t pro

    Just updated to 12.5.1, I am unable to use the guestures. (When I swipe directions to let's say go home, nothing happens) I can use them fine in the tutorial but they don't work so I am forced to use buttons.

    Anyone else having the same issue?

    Last time I have drop my that one time on the floor, and when I pick up my phone, and I heard some sound in my phone, when I shake my phone, it got some sound in it.

    Is it common or I need to do some checking?

    Constantly recharging the laptop VS leaving it plugged in

    I'm looking for ways to prolong the battery life of my laptop (Redmi G 16). As you know, except of temperature, another important factor is charge cycles count. There are two main approaches of dealing with it: 1) Constantly recharging the battery. Let it get 80%, then let the charge go down to 20%, then repeat the process.

    Advantage: you're never going higher than 80%, which is an unhealthy state that detoriates battery. Disadvantage: you're wasting charge cycles.

    2) Always keep it plugged in. Most modern laptops automatically switch the power to go directly to the motherboard when charge meter reaches 100%, meaning that the battery isn't used at all.

    Advantage: you're mostly not wasting charge cycles. Disadvantage: you're keeping the charge level at 100%, which itself detoriates the battery.

    So out of these options, what should I choose and why?

    Note 5 PRO Glitchy Screen,Noise

    After dropping my phone, it got bent over, and it has been working perfectly ever since, not this time though, the screen is glitchy? Somehow has alot of noise, like an old tv, then it turns off and restarts, when i try bending my phone a bit it restarts and the screen works properly, after a few seconds/minutes it crashes again and restarts.
