Previously, after installing a custom lockscreen via Themes it was possible to change the lockscreen wallpaper but keep the lockscreen style (e.g. clock). Now whenever I try to change the lockscreen wallpaper on the same custom lockscreen I used since I first started playing around with the customization options I'm getting this message: I don't know why it's acting up like this since it used to work perfectly fine before. | PSA regarding ADB Bloatware Removal on Miui Posted: 11 Jul 2021 05:40 PM PDT Hi everyone: I was in the process of setting up a Redmi Note 7 Pro for my grandparents and noticed an overwhelming amount of bloatware and hidden tracking services installed on the phone even after I reset it to a fresh copy of Miui 12. I removed these as normal using App Inspector and ADB. All was well till I rebooted the phone, and got stuck in an endless boot loop to the phone's recovery. Before you ask, no Android, Qualcomm, MIUI, or other system components were deleted. This really should not be an issue since I've deleted a lot of similar applications on an LG V20 H910 as well as a Galaxy S3 without issue. If you run into the issue don't panic: use the volume and power buttons in the custom recovery to select and confirm the 'Wipe Data', option; reboot after its done and the phone will enter MIUI 12 setup. Parting advice: proceed at your own risk if you have the intention to ADB delete bloatware on a MIUI device you own, or plan to buy. [link] [comments]  | ||

Then he left, I changed the wifi, and it began speaking Chinese. I do not speak Chinese and it is driving me insane not knowing what the hell this thing is doing. I need to reset this thing to speak English. I have no idea what any of this is called and can't even figure out what to search for. I have my language set to English in the app, I don't know why it is now speaking Chinese. I understand there is some pack of languages and voices I can pick from. | MiPad 4 - screen stays blank after turning on Posted: 12 Jul 2021 12:10 AM PDT I've had a MiPad 4 for a couple of years. It's worked flawlessly once i figured out a few things to do with the ROM. It's now suddenly not working. After charging it to full (left overnight) and turning it on, the screen stays blank. I hear the "turning on" sound and the screen lock/unlock sounds plays when I open and close the magnetic case flap, but as i said, blank screen. the little LED is on, and i can see a little backlite when it's booting. I've tried to entery recovery (volume up or down & power) but still no display at all. Does it sound like the screen is busted (my kids may have dropped it i guess), or is there something I can do here...? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Redmi Note 8 Pro getting hanged Posted: 11 Jul 2021 02:17 PM PDT Ever since the MIUI 12 update, the phone ends up hanged. The audio is still being played but the the screen freezes on whatever it was showing at that time. The cause is seemly random but I noticed that it is more likely to happen when clearing ram, clearing cache, taking screenshot, closing a chat pop up.(not always but most cases happened when doing these). Sometimes they happened when streaming a video or playing a game. Is it a MIUI issue or should I get my phone checked for damage? I have factory reset my phone twice already. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 11 Jul 2021 02:06 PM PDT Hey, I have been using my phone (note 9 pro global) for like 10 months now, it has no issues other than long booting screens, but that does not matter. Today I dropped my charger from pocket height and it feel on a rocky road. I charged my phone for some time now and I think it was normal charging until I reached 94% then it all slowed down and took 10 minutes to reach 95%, and now then it went to 0% charging (see picture) charging 0% Then when I opened reddit it hopped up to 30% charging per hour and now it went dowm to again barely any. Note, my phone should charge full % in less than 2 hours 10%/h I am not sure if I should try to use my warranty or get a new charging brick? Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments]  | ||

And then about 2-3 weeks ago, my phone was restarting on its own. I pressed the power button for 5-10 seconds and it stopped. Then i got the Android 11 update 1 week ago. From then until now, my phone has auto rebooted/restarted on its own about 3-4 times. Today, in the morning, it kept rebooting and vibrating non-stop.
