Posted: 17 Jul 2021 09:39 AM PDT As I just found it in a random comment and I guess this could help a lot of people like it helped me: If your phone is still lagging here and there since updating to Android 11, try going to developer options and turn on "disable HW overlays" I have no clue what this is exactly about but it stopped stuttering since I did it. What I'm left with is paying $75 more for a riskier phone that has considerable improvements (namely the cameras but the minor factors too). Should I buy a refurbished Galaxy S20 for $75 more than a new OnePlus 8? It's important to note that, once this refurbished S20 arrives, if it happens to not work, the summer sales for the OP 8 will be over, so I will be stuck with having to replace the S20 with Amazon's renewed guarantee policy (I'll replace it anyways but I'd be forced to try again with the renewed store). | Just got a N10.. some thoughts. Posted: 17 Jul 2021 04:34 PM PDT So I got a new N10 on Thursday. I was happy with my OP5 which I'd had since launch. Recently it started randomly rebooting (and occasionally would not boot so I'd have so power cycle it), no sim card errors, etc. Decided it was as time I hate spending a ton on phones, and I really liked the OxygenOS, so I went with the N10. Thus far, I'm extremely happy with it. Plenty fast enough for my needs. 5g is flat out amazing, I seem to have good signal on it here at home as it has been very reliable in the 370-400 rang. I hit over 500mb a couple of times. The few games I play have been flawless (most are miniclip games.. so they are pretty large). Posted: 17 Jul 2021 04:13 PM PDT If this sounds like a stupid question, it's because I have the Cyberpunk edition and it has that larger camera bump on the back, so only the Cyberpunk case fits it. But, the case is getting a little worn and is not as tight as it once was and I'd like to try to keep it in the best condition for the longest time. The only thing I can think of that would work is a bumper case, but on everything I've seen, they all have backs to them, which wouldn't work for this phone. I swear I remember seeing cases that were literally just the bumper without a back, but I cant seem to find any. Can anyone help me out or does anyone have any other ideas? I've tried all 3 battery saver settings as well. I manage to stop it by deleting cache and storage but the moment I open it, it starts again. any solutions or alternative apps to Google messages? Is there a fix for this? My wife just got a Volvo and her pixel 5 can use Bluetooth and USB tethering, when I enable it on my OnePlus 7 Pro it just says data connection not available. But my question is more interest in the opposite. Does anyone know if flashing the TMobile 8t+ Firmware to the 8T will enable the additional 5G bands? From my understanding, it's the same chipset and would think that it's just flashing the radio/software enhancements that will enable the additional bands. Thanks all. [link] [comments]  |
