| Oneplus 9 pro gave 5 times over heating notification in last 24 hours. Posted: 18 Jul 2021 11:46 PM PDT My experience is turning sour with oneplus 9 pro in last week. Summer is up and average temperature is increasing. In my last three devices that i used in last three years: oneplus 8, oneplus 7 pro and samsung note 9, not even once i had this issue. Phones slows down, fps drops, even watching netflix causes phone to heat now, charging speed drops as well. Temperature goes high as 48°c. Any solution to this? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 19 Jul 2021 06:52 PM PDT So, this screen fills me with a white hot rage every time I go to share something. The 4 contacts at the top, are always the same people, even after clearing the cache and stored data of Messenger and reinstalling the app. Unpinning the chats icon also doesn't help. 1 is a friend I used to be close with but haven't spoken to in 5 years. I've never messaged them on this phone. 2 is my MIL, I message her, maybe once every few months. 3 and 4 are people I added over 2 years ago and have never messaged. I once managed to get one of the people that I actually message and share links with frequently to appear here; by clearing a cache of something in safe mode (I'm afraid it's been quite a while and I don't remember exactly what I did) but it reset when I later restarted my phone. It's the same share menu over multiple apps, so it's not an issue with the app I'm trying to share from. I'd appreciate any help or just commiseration with this so thanks in advance! My 7 Pro, Pixel 2xl, MacBook Pro, and Lenovo ThinkPad running PopOS have no issues whatsoever. The lag is present on all wifi networks as well as cellular. (OP6) Posted: 19 Jul 2021 04:53 AM PDT I am considering testing A11 on the OP6, but I am worried that something might break and I need to go back. On the website it recommends to 'make a backup' and offers this guide: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/rollback-build-for-oneplus-6-and-6t-open-beta-testers.1217210/ That guide requires a full wipe and then restoring apps and data. I was wondering if using adb a full exact replica of the current installation is possible, using a guide like this: https://net2.com/how-to-backup-and-restore-your-android-device-with-adb-on-ubuntu/ Basically, I would prefer this if it would also work as it's a lesser hassle (specially because if the phone is near full, backing up on the phone and then transferring to the computer would be a pain), but I am worried that possible changes in partitioning could be a potential problem. I am sure the adb method would work on the same OS version or across small updates, my worry is about being able to restore to another, older release Edit: The specific commands I posted won't do the trick.
