(Lousy bluetooth in pocket on 8 Pro) Posted: 01 Jul 2021 01:53 AM PDT I have the OnePlus 8 Pro and I currently use the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live with it, but I have the same issue with other headsets/earplugs. Whenever I have my phone in my pant pocket, bluetooth audio gets garbled and even falls completely away when I turn my head all the way over. Usually phone in left pocket, head turned to the right. Also when I have my head straigth forward but my left hand hangs straight down sort of covering my pocket. However, if I'm at home, my phone can be on the kitchen counter, and I can be one floor up without any issues. And this is a house with concrete floor dividers. Is this a phone issue? A headset issue? A bluetooth issue (I'm leaning towards this myself, bluetooth is an awful protocol to blast audio through)? Or is it my fat ass blocking 2.4ghz like a faraday cage? | 7T screen touch glitch after android 11 Posted: 30 Jun 2021 05:54 PM PDT My phone worked great until android 11. The update made typing very difficult. The screen looks normal, but acts like the touch sensitivity is set to 12 on a scale of 1-10. It's not constant. At this moment it's mostly normal. Randomly it just gets over sensitive and swype typing on any keyboard is erratic. Trying to modify a spreadsheet on Google docs is tough. It's almost like it's registering 5 simultaneous inputs everytime my finger moves or holds in place I just got the June 01 security update and it might have gotten ever so slightly better but it still sucks It's an unlocked tmobile version. | Music distorting over Bluetooth earbuds (Nord) Posted: 30 Jun 2021 05:28 PM PDT Hello, I have this brand new one plus Nord and i purchased some Xiaomi eardots at the same time, sound is great and i love the phone. However, as soon as it starts to be a little crowded around me, especially in the train, my music slows down and speeds up like a radio out of battery, makes the music unlistenable as it completely distorts the pitch of the songs randomly , it sounds like what you'd edit over a meme of a drunk person .. I live in Tokyo so I'm constantly surrounded by a million people also using bluetooth earbuds.. I've tried unpairing the buds, re-pairing them, keeping the case fully charged, restarting the phone, trying to update everything, digged in Spotify's settings etc to no avail.. am i doomed to have nausea inducing music unless i go back to wired earphones or buy top of the line earbuds that I'll lose in a month ? I have to go back into the settings and change it every time, and there's no way that I can see to change how long the screen stays on in battery saver mode so I can't bypass that for the time being. I have heard some people say they fixed by factory resetting from the boot menu, which I can access, but my phone is filled with photos of my puppy from the last few months and I don't want to lose them. | Posted: 30 Jun 2021 12:16 AM PDT Had the phone for maybe 7 months or so as my daily driver and it's been a very mixed bag. I love the 120hz display and 5G connectivity, as well as OnePlus being very open to customization. However, this is the second most problematic phone I have ever owned (out of about 7 I have used as my main phone, the worst being the OP8). For one, the camera is lackluster at best and GCam can only do so much. Not too much of a complaint for me, but it could be better. Second, while it's not as abysmally broken as it was on the 8, the phone still has regular service problems that people on other phones don't experience. It is slow to reconnect to the network after losing coverage and from time to time the phone just craps itself and never reconnects while I'm on the freeway. Much more reliable than the 8; still barely acceptable. Sometimes I'll be doing something and the internet dies even though I still have 5G signal and I have to toggle airplane mode to fix it. The phone is extremely reluctant to roam even though I have it enabled, which is a problem in rural West Virginia. However, none of these problems are deal breakers for me. What are, however, are the several horrible problems this phone has. The vibrate/silent switch on the side of the phone doesn't work half the time and it's a matter of trial and error to get into vibrate. Sometimes the OnePlus UI just craps itself and now I can't navigate on the phone for up to a minute. Calls sometimes just don't work. The phone keeps deleting apps from my home screen, and goes as far to delete the T-Mobile app entirely about once a week. Android Auto just gives up and crashes about every hour when I'm on the road plugged into my headunit. And arguably the worst of all, the phone keeps obliterating my downloaded music. I thought I was just sleep deleting it at first, as improbable as that sounds, but quickly discovered that I was not. I downloaded 50 songs to my phone about a month ago, Vansire and whatnot, and now only 25 of them remain by some miracle of God. Idk if OnePlus just doesn't approve of my taste, but out of the 15 Vansire songs I downloaded, it deletes every single one of them without a trace, except for "That I Miss You" which has survived 3 cycles of my phone nuking my music library. They disappear gradually, not just all at once. I've tried resetting the phone, no luck. This phone is cursed, but T-Mobile has an installment plan on it so I'm just stuck having to redownload my favorite songs EVERY DAY. Never had this experience on any other phone, even running all the same apps. Even my 8, which was literally unusable after a few months, never dared to touch my dream pop. | Posted: 30 Jun 2021 04:22 AM PDT Hello, got my OP 9 Pro today and tested the camera and wow does the normal Mode suck - Colors are nowhere near reality (feels like RNG, sometimes oversaturated, sometimes undersaturated and sometimes they are actually pretty close to real) and "blacks" (basically any part that isn't bright) is just complete fucking black. Pro Mode is better, doesn't crush blacks as much but Pro Mode still has issues with the colors. I installed GCam, which delivers impressive results and shows what the hardware is capable of, but jesus is the default Software bad. Definitely thinking of returning it... [link] [comments]  | ||

| Nord N10 5G Pocket Mode being triggered all the time Posted: 30 Jun 2021 05:35 AM PDT I got the Nord N10 5G a while ago, and ever since I've had it the proximity / ambient light sensor has activated pocket mode, blacked out the screen while a call was going on etc. Is this a known fault? Anyone else experiencing this? There are some issues that I've dealt with (turning off fingerprint sensor because it's shit etc). I took off the PET screen protector I was using (from oneplus site) and that didn't help. Screen has been cleaned etc to no avail. So yeah, anyone else? I couldn't see anything online about this.
