    Fanless (or fan-maintenance less) laptop?

    I bought a MSI P65 (9th gen core i7, rtx 2060) a year and a half ago. Now it's overheating very quickly. I opened the back, did a bit of vacuum cleaning into the 3 fans. That did the trick in term of overheating, but 2 weeks later the CPU fan started making strange noises, non stop, as if it was off his axe or needing oil. From medium to very loud noises. I'm afraid I can't do much to fix this (can I?) as this thing seems sealed anyway.

    Anyway, I'm sick of having laptops that need fan maintenance. I love my fanless Macbook Air M1, but needs something equivalent PC side. Are there pc laptops fan less (or fan-maintenance less) that are worth the money? A thunderbolt 3 port would be a plus as I need to connect my eGPU for machine learning.

    Need a replacement battery from a non sketchy site.

    My sister got herself a new laptop recently and she gave me her old Toshiba Satellite L755-11H. I managed to fix it for the most part but she threw away the battery a long while ago since it died. Now I'm looking for replacement battery but the only site I can find that sells one is irelandbattey.com but everyone is saying that it's a scam website and to not buy from there.

    Where should I get a replacement?

    My Windows laptop (Intel Core i5-4200H/GTX 950M/8GB RAM) is slowly but surely getting less & less useful & im having trouble doing daily tasks like creating music, editing videos/photos. I don't play much video games at all any more - so the graphics card is not a problem & because I have a lot of work to do, I was thinking about purchasing a MacBook.

    The overall slick design, aesthetic & battery life of the MacBook is what gets me, and I also own a iPhone so importing videos & pictures from my phone onto my MacBook would no longer be a problem. (since to import & edit MOV. files I have to convert the file into mp4. which takes a long time)

    The main issue I have is the fact that I unfortunately (and im really sorry to admit this) won't be able to download cracked software/plugins on my Mac because of their M1 chip etc. I only do this to test out several types of software before I actually purchase it, to see if I like the software and if it runs smoothly (I do a lot of music mixing & mastering in a studio so I really have to purchase it lol)

    Did anyone here have a similar situation? Did you go around it somehow? Or did you simply buy a Windows laptop. Let me know!

    Laptop for photography student

    Im a photography student and i have been looking at a lenovo legion 5 specifically this model it seems like a good deal but should i be looking at a higher spec model or a completely different laptop. I will be editing photos and also playing high end games on it (not on ultra graphics) while away from my home pc. Also it needs to be not to heavy as i will be carrying it around all day in my backpack. Battery life is not a problem as i will always be able to charge it. I have a budget of around £800 but this looked like a good deal. Thank you in advance!!

    Hello Everyone. so i have this old laptop, Asus a46cb_wx023d that has specs as below Intel core i3 3217u 4gb Ddr3-pc 12800 with 8 gb max memory

    So i want to up the ram to 8 gb, will the ram upgrade boost my laptop performance? Im using it for LDPlayer (android emu) & photoshop. Also, can i use different brand on the ram? As i dont know the brand on the default ram.

    Setting up Laptop + Tv +Soundbar

    Hi, I didnt know where to ask or how to google it properly, so here I am.

    I have a Laptop that I would like to connect to my TV via HDMI, as I dont want to buy a TV subscription for 10-20€ a month, anyway I also have a Soundbar that I got when moving out.

    Now you might spot where I am going with this:

    Is there a way to conenct my Laptop to my TV and to the Soundbar, so that my TV shows whats on my Laptop screen and my Soundbar plays the sound instead of the TV?

    Searching for laptop with 4 hard disk slot and raid capabilities

    Hi everyone, I would like to know if there are any particular notebooks with at least 4 2.5 "disk slots that support the raid function. I've seen some with 2 slots + mSATA (see Dell Inspiron 7720), but that's not enough for me. It also has no raid function.

    Online I only found stuff that cost like a car, like Eurocom portable servers or Getac rugged military ones. Those would be fine, but they cost a lot and I just need the 4 slots with raid so that I can make a complete portable NAS, without having external solutions or portable Nas to manage with a link to the management page, in addition to the fact that I couldn't have the ability to do anything like zipping files, opening content, etc.

    Lenovo ThinkPad t450s screen not working

    I have had this t450s for a while, it slowed down quite a bit on me, so I decided to take out the ram and put it back in (ik pretty stupid of me) but when I turned it on the keyboard backlight would turn on and the power light and the fans would also turn on, but the screen wouldn't turn on, does anyone how can I fix this?

    Suggest possible hardware upgrades for the 4-year-old Laptop.

    I own an HP 240 G5 (3MT94PA) Laptop (Core i3 6th Gen/4 GB/1 TB/ Windows PRO) and want to increase it performance as much as possible instead of buying a new laptop. What are some of the modifications in terms of hardware upgrades like SSD, Ram can be done (currently only 1 of the 2 RAM ports is occupied by 4 GB DDR4 RAM).

    I understand that I cannot just buy any RAM / SSD but need to find ones that are compatible with my motherboard.

    Acer aspire 5 replacement charger

    The lead for my laptop has stopped working and looking at getting a replacement one but can't seem to find one when I put in the exact model details.

    Mine has a black tip but the ones I can see on amazon are yellow tip??

    I'm looking for a laptop that's around £500. I think it should have at least an i5 processor and 8gb of ram and 256gb of storage. Also, I can be touchscreen but I'm not too fussed. I just wanted to see your guys suggestions.
