I'm facing a bizarre problem...(windows) Posted: 12 Jul 2021 07:01 AM PDT I have been unable to start my wifi for the past 3 days now. Whenever I click on the wifi button, it says that wifi has been turned off when in fact it isn't. There's nothing wrong with my wifi btw as I can use it just fine with my other devices. But the real kicker is that everyday at 11 AM and 7 PM, the wifi comes back inexplicably and works just fine for about 10 minutes or so. During that time, I see absolutely no degradation of the quality of the wifi, as if absolutely nothing has been going wrong; that is after ten minutes until it inexplicably turns off again. I should also explain that I used to have a program from Bing that used to cycle through their nature wallpapers and it used to change my background and lockscreen wallpaper everyday at 11 AM and 7 PM so I highly suspect something has to do with that app. I uninstalled it and removed it completely via regedit. I have done everything possible under the sun including updating my drivers and a whole lot of other stuff from youtube which was ultimately quite useless. Any explanation for this bizarre phenomenon? [link] [comments] |
Midi Controller Connection Failure Posted: 12 Jul 2021 08:17 AM PDT Hello, I have trouble connecting my M-Audio Keystation Mini 32 MK3 midi controller to my Windows 10 PC, and hope you can help me out. When I use the Mini USB that came with the controller, it only works if I plug it in on the back panel of my PC. This way it works as intended, with no problem, but that way I cannot use it comfortably, as the USB Cable is not long enough. If I plug it in on the front panel of the PC, however, it just doesn't want to work. In the device manager, it gives me errors like 'Device Descriptor Request Failed', 'Unknown USB Device', and so on. With any other USB Cable, it gives me the same error, plugged in either on front or back panel. With another PC, it works without any problem, with any USB Cable. I have tried updating drivers, disabling, deleting the controller's driver, any relatable fix on forums, but with no success. I have used 'SCP Toolkit' in the past which allows you to use a PlayStation Controller with Windows, but have deleted it and it's drivers since. The midi controller is plug and play, so it doesn't need a separate driver. I haven't tried reinstalling Windows yet, if I cannot fix this, then I will. I would like to know if anybody has a solution for this, thank you. [link] [comments] |
PC screen flashes for several minutes when booting up Posted: 12 Jul 2021 08:01 AM PDT Hello, I have an issue with my pc. This started about 5 months ago, and I am unsure what caused it as nothing really changed, it just started doing it one day. Whenever I turn on my pc, it goes through the normal boot-up process that takes about 30 seconds, then it shows my desktop. Except the entire background is yellow, there are no icons, and the taskbar is flashing. I took a video of it that you can [watch here](https://youtu.be/xivRZVyUwH4). This process goes on anywhere between 5 minutes and an hour and happens every single time I turn my computer on. I cannot do anything on my pc during this time. I tried disabling every program that booted on startup, but the flashing still occurred. My PC specs are:
I really appreciate any help anyone can give me. Please let me know if you need more information about my PC or the issue, and I will happily provide it. Thank you all! [link] [comments] |
black screens for 1 sec after startup Posted: 12 Jul 2021 06:28 AM PDT Whenever I turn on the PC and I have 2 monitors, after a few seconds they go black for 1 second and then they go back to normal. This problem does not occur when I have only 1 monitor. [link] [comments] |
