| Updated to MIUI 12.5 on K30 Ultra Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:06 PM PDT There was a news about China only Xiaomi devices will have no Google services after updating to MIUI 12.5, especially if the phone has a Mediatek chip. But I updated it anyway. I was worried about not having Google services after the update but everything is working fine. Noticed a few bugs in an hour of using: 1. Plugging in a charger when I'm using the phone makes a full screen charging animation appear on the screen, disrupting the thing I'm doing. (Like the animation that appears when you plug the charger when the screen is off) 2. Fonts are not uniform. For some reason incoming call pop up and the notification shade and center fonts are different than the font I'm using. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Floating Windows stopped working on Redmi Note 9s Posted: 01 Jun 2021 10:45 PM PDT I remember it worked once when I went into multitasking mode and I could see a button that says to open an app in split screen. That button does not exist anymore and instead I get 4 buttons including one to clean memory and another to manage apps. No split screen/floating window like many articles say. When I long press on an open app in the multitasking view I see the floating window button but pressing it does nothing even though the button is enabled. I also tried pressing the floating window icon in the action center but that does nothing either. In the settings they have a tutorial on how to use floating Windows. I'm supposed to drag down on a notification. The tutorial works but when I do it on an actual notification I don't get any floating window, the notification just gets dragged down and the action center gets expanded. Is this a bug? Has anyone else seen this? I don't remember changing anything on my phone except doing an update of miui . I'm on 12.0.4 miui global. Thanks. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 01 Jun 2021 07:32 PM PDT I just don't seem to like the prompt that it needs to gain some permission to be used, I get storage, but why location and those other miscellaneous permissions that doesn't seem to be necessary for a software that 'clears junk from storage'. Also, it seems like it was made Cheetah Mobile, a developer that was banned by Google LLC, due to alleged involvement in ad-fraud schemes. | PC not picking up fastboot device Posted: 01 Jun 2021 06:59 PM PDT okay so I just reset my PC a couple days ago and installed adb drivers, whenever I do adb commands, it works perfectly fine, but fastboot commands like "fastboot devices" doesn't pick up the device and shows no name. before I reset the PC, it was picking it up correctly and I could do all that fastboot stuff. I checked device manager and there's no "other devices" folder to update drivers of. instead, it's in the USB folder and showing unrecognized USB device. need a fix ASAP! [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 01 Jun 2021 06:17 PM PDT Hi, I'm experiencing a problem with my POCO F3, when I try to put my music files in the device the storage seems to act weird, I can't access to certain options in apps that involves using the storage, some pictures of my gallery don't load, music players does not reproduce the content, and apps that have sound effects (and the proper sounds of the device) don't reproduce either, even games don't reproduce music, sound effects works but no music. This problems disappears when I delete all those files, also at first all those music/images files where not recognized by the device as it, it took many resets until the phone decided to recognize it as intended. I'm using MIUI 12.5.1 but I had those issues with the 12.0.3 one, I don't know if it's a factory problem or not. [link] [comments]  | ||
