Windows 11 insider build, VR Performance (Oculus) Posted: 30 Jun 2021 12:57 PM PDT While everything else runs fine, if not better. VR performance is the BIG, and I mean BIG exception. My Oculus Rift S and PC (32gb ram, 2080ti, Ryzen 3700x) had no issue playing games like Skyrim VR and BoS. However, upon trying to play either of them today on the Windows 11 insider build, they now run terribly. Even in the hub area of both games I was in the 40 FPS area, then moving into the world would easily drop me down to the 20fps area. Dont, and I repeat dont bother trying VR on the insider previews if you have an Oculus Device. It simply wont work well. [link] [comments] | ||

Question about Windows and Multiple Devices Posted: 30 Jun 2021 05:16 PM PDT Unnecessary anecdote: I remember having an xbox, but not xbox live, so I'd always make a new account whenever I went to a friends house instead of just downloading my own account. So over the years, I had like 25 different outlook emails. I also didn't know that you could use a non outlook email when signing up a microsoft device. Anyway, to the point of my question, somehow, I managed to NOT do what I did above, and on my 2 windows machines, I did the initial setup on both of them using my primary gmail address. So both of my computers are on the SAME windows account. If you change the background on one, it changes on the other. I only have onedrive setup on one, but if I set it up on both, I could swap between computers. Its nice. But because of this, now I'm worried about signing up for the microsoft beta (insider) program. I want to get the developer preview of windows 11 on my small touch screen laptop I bought last year. Since I have a laptop for work, a primary home desktop for gaming, this little thin and light I got for school last year is just sitting around. Perfect opportunity to use it for previewing the beta. But if its anything like the android developer beta, you sign up for the beta program with your ACCOUNT. I definitely don't want any beta access on my main computer. Will it be a problem that I have both windows machines signed in for the same email when I sign up for the microsoft insider program? I only want beta software on the one device.
