Today for the first time I changed the rom on my smartphone, but the default Phone app in addition to having a bug in the UI, doesn't allow block contacts. I tried Simple Dialer, but the same doesn't allow to block contacts. It's not mandatory, but I'd like something similar to Samsung's stock app. Which one do you recommend? [link] [comments]  |

I've been using airgapped crypto vaults and now I'm thinking that the perfect addition would be an app that stores a private PGP key on your phone, allows exporting of public key via QR code, can read encrypted chat messages via QR/camera, and send encrypted messages via QR and a second(online) phone. All of the native apps for NAS servers are viewers/backups for the photos only on the NAS. I've been searching for almost a year now for an app like Google Photos that allows you to view photos on the NAS (cloud) and on your phone simultaneously. The app would ideally have lightweight editing such as cropping, rotating, etc. It also would allow for seamless back up and ability to "free up space" by deleting photos locally after backup. | Posted: 31 May 2021 05:36 AM PDT Hi everyone. EMUI has a neat feature that allows you to virtually shut your phone down on a schedule. This is very helpful overnight, as it shuts everything down but the alarm clock. Then you can also set the phone to "turn on" based on a schedule again. Is there any app (or even rom) that offers something similar? Android's Bed Time doesn't cut it for me. There are apps that can put your device in flight mode, but only if it's rooted, and I don't want to root mine. I also played around with Routines, but Google Assistant needs internet to run commands. So I can only make it go in flight mode, but not go out of it. Any ideas? | Looking for ebook reader with proper dictionary support. Posted: 31 May 2021 02:22 AM PDT I use Google Play Books for reading most ebooks and it works great mostly, but the dictionary only seems to be available for English. For non-english books it also has an other dictionary that can be invoked by long pressing a word and than tapping the dictionary icon, but that one only gives a shitty Google Translate level translation. It does not list all the meanings that a word has. I want something like what Google Play Books has for English: It should be invokable quickly (like immediately after long pressing a word) It should show the infinitive form of the selected word and list all it's meanings. It should be able to read self imported ebook files (like rubs) Is anyone aware of such an app? [link] [comments]  |
