OnePlus 9 has the same 360Hz touch sampling rate as the 9 Pro despite not being marketed this way. Posted: 21 May 2021 02:45 PM PDT The 360Hz touch sampling rate was supposed to be a feature of the 9 Pro which was also heavily marketed as a "gamer feature". Apparently none of the reviewers have actually tested it, but the regular 9 has the same touch sampling rate, which is activated upon entering a game. If you add any app to the "games" app, it will be treated as a game upon startup, and run at a sampling rate of 360Hz. Here is a screenshot: https://ibb.co/8PsK5Zs [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 May 2021 06:04 PM PDT Hello I just received my first ever OnePlus device. I want to ask is the film that's on my phone a screen protector. As it feels to glued on to be some flimsy film. I can't seem to find an answer. [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 May 2021 05:18 PM PDT Hi! Is there any indication, or is anyone aware of any, when the cobalt version of the OP watch will be released? Would love to hear any speculations or hard dates on whether and when the cobalt watch will be released! [link] [comments]
Be honest. Is OP9 Pro worth it? Posted: 21 May 2021 08:03 AM PDT I love Oxygen OS, and i want to replace my old (but still good) OP5. I've found a good deal for a OP9PRO (790€, EU version). The question is, does it worth the cost? Im considering it over the OP9 because of lack of OIS, but im afraid of all the criticism about low battery or heat problems. Im one step away of buying it, so, please, dont be shy. Kind regards [link] [comments]
Any way to fix an unstable charging port? Posted: 21 May 2021 04:36 PM PDT Basically what the title says. I have my OP5 on release day and the only thing wanting me to upgrade is the USB-C port driving me nuts. It seems like all cables just fit loosely now and dash charging is almost impossible as the cable has to be in a very specific position and the moment I barely touch the phone it stops charging. Sending it in for repairs is not an option so I'm asking for a DIY fix. Any help is appreciated. [link] [comments]
Any reason to not charge battery 100%? Posted: 21 May 2021 03:03 PM PDT I have a friend that he knows many things about technology, he even recommended me OP which I'm thankful lol, he said to me that just like we don't drain battery to 0%, we neither let it charge to 100% because doesn't help to the battery. One part of me thinks it makes sense, the other is in doubt asking to this community. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 May 2021 12:34 PM PDT After the latest updates I'd get 5-6 hours SOT which is meh but okay I don't mind that as I can last a whole 24 hours without needing to charge. Recently I haven't been using my phone often so I'd charge it at night and use it minimal amounts during the day like literally just to check a few things and that's it back to work. When I'm home it's literally gone from 100 to 70/80 with less than one hour of SOT and the network stand by in batteries is like 2-5% the rest of it is screen time. Is this an issue? On my OP7 PRO if I charged it but didn't use it for 4 hours or more. It'd still be roughly 99-100% this however seems to drop. Anyone experiencing this when not using their OP9 Pro and it's idle turned off it just depletes battery? ( No I do not have always on ambient display but I do have ambient display on as a setting but NOT always on feature) [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 May 2021 02:15 PM PDT I have a oneplus 8 that I ordered from the OP website. when I got the phone, I had customer support at verizon activate CDMA-less for my sim card. This was in September. Everything was fine, working flawlessly, until maybe March or late February of this year. I went several days without receiving a text, and thought something was fishy. So I restarted my phone, and upon booting up again, I was swarmed with a barrage of texts all through the previous few days that I hadn't received. Now this happens very frequently. Every couple of weeks I have to restart my phone because I am not receiving calls or texts. Did oneplus break something in an update? Would a new sim card help? Mine is about five years old. It's very annoying. Like I said, everything worked fine for the first 5 or 6 months of owning the phone. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 May 2021 02:14 PM PDT I tried to delete a picture after taking one and it froze and I've deleted the photo before it which is important to me. I've tried Google photos and recovering and it doesn't dig up any recently deleted pics. I've never had issues with my one plus 6t. When I had this phone I remember there being a this will be kept for 30 days before being permanently deleted. Please can someone tell me how to access these. [link] [comments]
Dragonball Legends frame rate issue/ OnePlus9Pro Posted: 21 May 2021 11:18 AM PDT So i have an issue on my Oneplus 9 pro when i play dragonball legends. When i play the game, then suspend the game and return to it the frame rate drops and the gameplay is suddenly very choppy and very hard to play, i have to close the app completely and start it again to get back to normal fps. Can anyone explain why this happens? It doesn't happen all the time but frequently enough to be annoying [link] [comments]
Help with OnePlus 7 after A11 update Posted: 21 May 2021 06:48 AM PDT Recently updated to A11 on my non-Pro 7 and I've got two problems: Google Fit won't record any steps at all (even with power optimisation turned off) https://ibb.co/5FkYNbf Secondly (this is minor) can I change the colour of the clock on the lock screen? The red 1s don't work well with a red background, like when I've got Spotify album art open. E.g. https://ibb.co/LrRKpjz (it should say 14:40) All the recent issues have really put me off OnePlus, I'm hopefully swapping to the new iPhone when it comes out. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 May 2021 12:06 PM PDT Is there a way to switch the default action on Quick Search from search the play store for an app to open the app? This would make Quick Search an awesome feature of Oxygen OS. -- OnePlus 9 Pro 5 G(angster) on latest O2 [link] [comments]
OnePlus 6 stuck on Qualcomm Crashdump Mode Posted: 21 May 2021 09:10 AM PDT Hi everyone, I was wondering whether anyone had experience dealing with this issue. My phone is not rooted, and I wasn't using it when this happened. It was plugged into the charger, and I saw this error message upon waking. I can access fastboot mode, but recovery mode leads to the same crash message. From what I have read on various forums and contacting customer service, it seems that there is no way for me to recover my data at all, which is unfortunate but not a huge loss. I am considering trading in this device for a OnePlus 8 Pro, but I would like to try attempting some other fixes before doing that. Would doing a fresh install of the OS, if that fails, affect the value of the phone as a trade-in? I see a fair few instances of this problem occurring in more recent OnePlus models, and I am also wondering whether it would be wise to continue going with OnePlus devices with this persisting issue. Of course, it may be uncommon enough that it does not really matter. Has anyone else had experience with this? I'd really appreciate some insight on the matter. [link] [comments]
When will the Bluetooth be fixed on the OP6 with android 10 ? Posted: 21 May 2021 08:48 AM PDT Bluetooth on OP6 was working totally fine on Android 9 but since 10, it's just not working properly (random disconnect or laggy connection) [link] [comments]
Dolby Atmos/Digital Plus for OOS11? Posted: 21 May 2021 10:28 AM PDT Before upgrading my 7T Pro was able to use the Dolby Atmos app/equalizer from the Razer phone or the ROG phone. App doesn't work on OOS 11, does anyone know of a working version for Android 11? [link] [comments]

The gallery issue with 11 and camera gallery, OnePlus 7t Pro Posted: 21 May 2021 08:30 AM PDT I've searched the sub but most people only experience minor lag and non-serious answers. Anyone else have this major lag when using the gallery or trying to look at a picture they've just taken? When going to the gallery it takes between 10-20 seconds load folder contents, before that there's just 1-2 pictures in every folder that you can see, like the rest of them is gone. Not exactly a lag, the gallery app still works and once it loads the rest of the pictures it loads it all at once. The most annoying thing is when using the camera, both stock camera and gcam, you can't look at the picture you just took and it "jumps" back to an older picture and you have to wait yet again, 10-20 seconds, to see the picture you just took even if accessing it through either of the camera apps. Does anyone know how to fix this? Older threads just said to not use the gallery app and just use the Google app for the photos, but that doesn't solve the camera issue and sometimes you want to see the picture quickly to see if you should take another one. Scrolling issues with Android 11 Posted: 20 May 2021 11:51 PM PDT Morning everyone, I would just like to say that I am really satisfied in general with the OnePlus 8 pro and that it has been the greatest phone I had to date. However, ever since it downloaded android 11 automatically yesterday for some reason, I decided to give it a try. After installing it I noticed a severe changing with the scrolling speed in general. Please spare me your old tricks of changing the animation speeds in the developer mode as I know this isn't helping. Is this a known bug and has it been addressed? Or is this something OnePlus or Google has done intentionally for OOS (in OnePlus case) or android 11 (Googles case) [link] [comments]
Weird bug: Twitter app doesn't load when the phone is charging Posted: 21 May 2021 03:58 AM PDT I have a OnePlus 7t pro running the latest software. For some odd reason, the Twitter app doesn't load when charging. If I remove the charge and open the app, it works just fine. Are you also experiencing this? is this a Twitter, android or OnePlus bug?? [link] [comments]
OnePlus Oxygen Icon Pack not supported after factory reset on OnePlus 6t. Posted: 21 May 2021 12:20 AM PDT I performed a full factory reset on my phone to remove old data. Before factory reset I was using Oxygen Icon Pack instead of square or round icon pack from One Plus. After factory reset, when i was reinstalling all apps, I realized Oxygen icon pack is not reinstalled. So i went to play store to download it. But it is showing me that current version of Icon pack is not compatible my phone. My phone is up to date with respect to software update after factory reset, no root. If anyone has faced this issue and resolved it , can you please assist. Also I wasn't able to find any thread related to this issue , hence started new thread. If a thread already exist for this, it'll be awesome if you can post link to that thread. Thanks. Edit : Response in OnePlus community app - OnePlus latest apps are only supported for Android 11 and above now. Download the older version apk from apkmirror. [link] [comments] |
