It only shows a blank screen, even I can use YouTube's buttons but video is disappeared, only audio can be heard.

| Unable to trigger calls with android assistant Posted: 21 May 2021 02:18 PM PDT Hello. I have a Oneplus 6T with Android 10 and currently i'm unable to call my contacts using the voice assistant. Usually, i use the voice assistant to make calls when my phone is connected to the car through the bluetooth. Unfortunately, i can't tell you when this feature stopped working on my phone or what update broke it because i barely use my car during this lockdown period. I noticed that they added new privacy options inside Google app that block the voice assistant when the phone is locked so i have enabled them. When i activate the assistant and i say "call something" the command appear on the screen after a couple of second and nothing happens. I already tried to uninstall and clean the Google and Google Assistant apps storage but didn't worked. Also, I have checked the apps permissions and i have enabled all of them. The strange things are that other voice command works (SMS, Spotify, etc..) and if i connect the phone through Android Auto, the voice assistant works fine and i can call my contacts using the voice command. Can i kindly ask you a solution to that frustrating issue? P.S. I use the Italian version of the assistant... Does maybe could be a region related issue? Thanks [link] [comments]  |
| Is there a way to set Do Not Disturb to send calls to voicemail? Posted: 21 May 2021 03:06 PM PDT I use a separate phone line for work, and when calls come in through my main phone app, it disconnects my secondary line. I have do not disturb set up, but that only mutes incoming calls. I would ideally like to set it so that ALL incoming calls from my phone app go to voicemail while do not disturb is on/during specific times. If possible, I would also like my secondary phone app to be exempt from this, though that isn't a priority. Is this possible? Thanks! [link] [comments]  |
| Android photo stick that works for iPad? Posted: 21 May 2021 10:08 PM PDT I want to get one of those Android photo sticks that when you plug it in automatically grabs the photos/videos. But is there one that works for an iPad (lightning cable) too as a 2nd option. Every one Ive seen has iPad/IPhone as main option and the android is the 2nd option so the iPad will automatically backup and android you have to manually transfer. Posted: 21 May 2021 12:42 PM PDT I'm trying to dump all of my files, but I can't get the notification which means I can't set it to file transfer. All the bubbles on the USB Preferences page in settings are unresponsive as if it's not plugged into anything, yet it's charging. I might have disabled said notifications because there was a glitch where it would keep popping up when it wasn't plugged into anything, Or it also might be because the Type C port is on the fritz. | Posted: 21 May 2021 07:29 PM PDT So my sister threw a tantrum - despite being 23 years old - and changed all the account information to her own on my fathers Note 5. The phone had nothing on it as he really only used it to make calls, so the only thing he would be losing is his contact list, but he has his most important contacts written down in a physical contact book. Anyways, she knew his passwords and email address and logged him out of his accounts on the phone, logged herself in, and also turned on factory reset protection effectively locking him out. We were just going to factory reset it until we learned that it was enabled, this is the first time I am even hearing of such a thing. Is there any way to bypass this without the password? Its been days and shes ignoring my calls, and my father is saying hes just going to go buy a new phone, but if theres a way to fix it without the password, which i dont think were going to get, Id like to figure it out. | Every recent Samsung phone my girlfriend as ever owned has the same issues. Posted: 21 May 2021 11:33 AM PDT So my girlfriend has this nutty issue with Samsung phones. All of them. She has so far had - Galaxy A70 - Galaxy A71 - Galaxy A32 I'm presently using the exact A71 and it works flawlessly for me. But on all of these phones,she would experience constant, daily issues within a month or two of getting Them. These issues are primarily: - Daily freezes - Severe Lag - Phone Restarting its self She primarily just has mainstream apps by trustworthy sources. There are a few random games off the app store but nothing she had in the past. Other than apps I'm at loss as to what could be causing this. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 21 May 2021 06:47 PM PDT qcom_rx_wakelock was causing me enough pain now I can see two more wakelocks that drains my battery like crazy, keeps phone at highest cpu states and heats up a lot. Here are pictures of those two wakelocks They are called IPCRTR_Ipass_rx and Ipass_IPCRTR. They have unbelievably high number of wakelock counts in BBS and FK Kernel Manager. | How to save cached video from FB Messenger? Posted: 21 May 2021 06:01 PM PDT The original video is deleted, so, it can't be saved for offline as usual anymore. Can play cuz it's cached. Phone is rooted. Any location or trick to that video? Screen recording is the last choice, for the phone stutters while doing so, thus, makes a bad record. :( Any help would be highly appreciated. | Posted: 21 May 2021 05:58 PM PDT I've disabled battery optimization (searched in settings for battery optimization which lets you disable/enable per app) for Spotify, Podcast Addict, and Audible since I use them often, especially with my smartwatch, but they still close extremely often when I switch to another app so that when I switch back to them the app has to start up again (and it's usually slower than opening the app from the drawer or homescreen shortcut for some reason) . Is there any way to fix this? It's very annoying and my smartwatch (Fossil Hybrid) stops being able to control the audio playback after a minute or two and I suspect it's because of this. My location is on and correct, so my phone knows where is am. I also use lastpass as a password messenger, and am signed into multiple (3) Gmail accounts. Edit: All of my software is up to date. Original Post : I use this app (ungoogled-chromium-android-extensions) which can load files (web browser extensions actually, like d3ward's floatly extension) from the phone storage fine on android 10 ... ... but this no longer seems to work on android 11 ... it says it can't read the extension manifest ... ... any idea how to solve/workaround that issue ?? thanks ! (PS : extensions can load fine from the chrome web store so I thought this issue might be due to the fact I am on android 11 and they've changed the permission system to access the phone storage ...) | Posted: 21 May 2021 04:45 PM PDT Hi everyone, I recently upgraded from an Honor 10 Lite to a new Poco X3 Pro and it's a great phone so far, however, I'm having issues with a controller of mine. I have two DualShock 4 V2 Controllers...
They both connect to the phone over Bluetooth and pair successfully. I have no issues with Controller A. If I use Controller B, it makes playing games a nightmare since it gives the phone "ghost inputs" where the buttons you press can trigger for too long in the game (for example, if I move left with the stick, it could lock for a second and continue moving left after I let go). This issue is only present in Controller B on the Poco X3 Pro, not Controller A. I should mention, Controller B did not have this issue on my Honor 10 Lite or my PlayStation 4. I have since retested and it is only an issue present on the Poco X3 Pro. Could anyone offer any advice or help for how to fix it please? | Galaxy 8 not syncing with multiple apps - Help! Posted: 21 May 2021 09:08 AM PDT Howdy folks,Device is Samsung Galaxy S8. So I recently wiped my phone, do it every year or so to keep it sharp. Since then, I noticed that my google calendar stopped syncing. Let me define that, if I generate an event on my browser calendar it pushes to my phone, but not the opposite. If I generate an event on my phone, it will not sync to the cloud, just stay local on my device. If I hit refresh in app it does not push it either.Also, certain work email notifications are not clearing as they previously did on the prior OS aka clicking on a chat in browser that also will ping my phone, I touch the chat message and the app notification should wipe and it doesn't. This leads me to believe that it's not at the app level but phone level. I have tried in the settings--->accounts auto sync data and everything seems enabled. All the app settings say sync etc and have access to storage and notifications. All apps are current patch level. I have excellent wifi and cell service where I reside. I have cleared cache of all affected apps, and cleared data. Phone is patched to current OS update. I'm pretty lost for next steps. Help? I appreciate any and all assistance. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 21 May 2021 12:48 PM PDT I did some searching in this sub, r/surfaceduo, r/android, and google and I can't really find a solution so maybe I'm using the wrong search terms. Setup my new surface duo last night. I've used the backup and restore feature through my Google account AND using the SMS Backup & Restore app and I get the same result both ways. I can see all of my incoming texts but none of my outgoing. I've cleared cache, I've cleared the app data. I've redownloaded and re-restored using the new backup, etc etc etc with no change. I still have my old Note 9 so getting data from it is no problem. Am I missing a setting? Am I doing something wrong? What other ways have yall used to correct this? I can't be the only one having this problem. Is it a general problem for android, is this something that is device specific? [link] [comments]  |

Is there any way to transfer files without access to the original phone? Its a pocophone f1, at&t, etc. I saved the contacts to google so I'm good there, and I took a screen recording of my notes and it's in my files. Is there anyway to access that? Also for those curious, I dropped my phone in a lake, left it in rice too long, insides got corroded I think, cleaned it all out with isopropyl alcohol, and it still doesn't work. I downloaded Samsungs Smart Switch App and installed all drivers. Unfortunately it didn't worked. Now I tried to connect my flash drive to my phone over otg. This didn't worked either. Moreover it detected, that I connect a device but it didn't saw it as a flash drive. A notification says: The connected gets charged over USB. Is there a Setting I have to activate to use data transfer over cable? Or do I have to download a special App? My Phone: Samsung A715F My OTG: Samsung OTG Would appreciate some help.
