I seem to recall reading negative things about android 11 somewhere or other, but I don't remember when or what. Any caveats before I hit update? (Chat bubbles is NOT a wanted "feature" for me, I hate chat bubbles from facebook messenger already and disabled them, why would I want more?) [link] [comments]  |

| Nokia 2.3 duplication of files Posted: 27 Apr 2021 09:24 PM PDT I wanted to ask if there is a problem with file's duplicating within my phone, is it a concern? Is it something to worry about? Will there be any cause to the problem if i weren't to do anything about it? It's file name would have "debuglogger/mobilelog/APlog" and a bunch of numbers from the side, they would duplicate up to 75 or more. I casually delete them and restart my phone, but i don't know if it is a big issue or not, is it? I've got my phone changed about two days ago, due to software functions and it is already fixed (from what I could assume, it is a malware, probably the APKs that i download, but now I'm taking responsibility to what i do with my phone. It's all fixed.) Is there an issue to this? If so, please comment your thoughts about it, it would be very helpful. [link] [comments]  |

When I go to play a message it will pause as soon as the phone is lifted to my ear to listen to it. I'm using the stock google phone app. I saw similar posts about this issue over the years on different forums but no real solutions. My software is up to date, I have tried rolling back updates for the app, forcing it to stop, and clearing the cache. I think it has to be setting stopping it from playing when the sensor picks up it's being lifted to the ear but I have no idea what it could be. Any opinions would be appreciated. The settings button doesn't do anything, and the notification drop down menu isn't working properly either. (I can drop down once, but can't drop down the second time.) My home button and app toggle button are gone. I'm connected to the network and can make phone calls, but I can't connect to data. All the apps are here, and seem to work fine though.... I've tried reseting the phone a bunch of times. Please somebody help, I need my phone to work asap or I'm screwed. I can't wait until tomorrow to call Samsung. This is a brand new Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5g with Android 11... Edit: Seems like there's something wrong with the UI. I'm able to get into my settings from the app button, but it seems like none of the drivers for my phone are working. Might just need to do a factory reset. | Samsung S10: unable to turn on fast charging Posted: 27 Apr 2021 08:18 PM PDT Region: India, Software: updated. It's going to be 2 years in August. So this probably suddenly started yesterday when I plugged in my S10 for charging. I use the default adapter. Sometimes I enable fast charging and sometimes disable it, which then shows cable charging. Yesterday when I turned on fast charging it still showed it is cable charging. I unplugged it and plugged it again, tested it with other adapters, but it was the same. Again I tried plugging in, it then showed water in the port, which it didn't show earlier. After two or three times, it started fast charging and was working normally. This morning the first time it worked normally but when I unplugged phone, it showed water in port. After I came back cycling, it wasn't fast charging even though it was already turned on from the start. Is anyone experiencing the same problem? Any idea what I can or should do? P.S.: My phone has not been in water recently. Stay careful in covid, always wear a mask when you go out and carry a sanitizer and an extra mask. Wearing double masks has an 85% chance of saving you from the virus, and don't forget to get vaccinated. [link] [comments]  |
| Factory reset on S20 Note Ultra without being able to use the screen? Posted: 27 Apr 2021 09:57 AM PDT A week ago, I woke up and my phone screen was black and unresponsive. But, the phone was still on. I could hear vibration when pressing buttons, and had haptic feedback from trying to enter my passcode. If a call came in, I could answer it by swiping, and could clear my morning alarm doing the same. Tried doing soft resets in various ways, and tried everything I could find online. One time the phone displayed the samsung logo when starting up, but hasn't since. Also, there is no damage to the screen or the phone itself. I ordered a replacement phone through warranty, and have everything switched over. But, I'm unable to do a factory reset. I was able to clear my photos, messages, and delete data sensitive apps using Dex, but would really like to completely wipe the phone, if at all possible, before sending back. Dex won't allow a reset, unfortunately. Any other ideas for doing a factory reset before I send this thing back? [link] [comments]  |

When doing a google search, when I want to check a PDF, nothing will happen. I click on it, nothing. I open the link in new tab, blank page. I right-click on it and try to save to PDF, won't download and I have a notification of chrome saying "Server problem". Not happening on firefox with the same files. Tried on wifi and LTE. | Suddenly having SMS and call issues Posted: 27 Apr 2021 06:46 PM PDT I have a Galaxy S10+ with Android 11 and I'm on TMobile. In the last couple of days I'm suddenly having issues sending and receiving calls and text messages. Calls take 30+ seconds from hitting send to the time it starts ringing and only some incoming calls make it to me. 1/4 of sms messages send the first time, many only send after several retries. I've rebooted many times, reset network, cleared messages cache, toggled airplane mode, enabled and disabled wifi, etc. My wife has an identical phone and she has the same issue. [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 27 Apr 2021 04:45 PM PDT I used to have an iPhone, which if the ring button/switch next to the volume buttons is turned to silence, all the notifications would not make a sound or vibrate, but calls still made a vibration. I currently have a galaxy note 9, and I'm wondering if there's a way to replicate that, I can't seem to find a good way to do so. If I turn on mute mode in notification bar settings, calls would not make a sound or vibrate, leading me to always miss them, if I turn on vibrate, all notifications make a vibration. I were scrolling on tiktok when suddenly the 4G symbol disappeared it said no internet connection but mobile data was turned on?? This happened once before so I tried the same thing turned on airplane mode for a minute then restarted my device turned off airplane mode and mobile data on and that worked last time but this time it said emergency calls only, so I tried turning on and off airplane mode again and then it worked. Tried google but can't find anyone with the same problem or any solution so anyone here that knows what's causing this and how to permanently fix it so it doesn't happen again? So far it has happened at night both times and far between but I'm on distance learning and really need my internet to work😅 (Hope this is the right subreddit for this) [link] [comments]  |
