    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 10:28 PM PST

First of all, you will need to configure your Android phone or tablet in order to install the application directly with us:

    1. If you have not already done so, uninstall the Netflix application.

    2. After uninstalling the application, access the settings.

    3. Press Settings.

    4. Press Security.

    5. Check the box next to Unknown Sources: Allow installation of applications from sources other than the Play Store.

    6. Press OK to confirm this change.

    NOTE:

You can return to your original settings after you install the Netflix application.

Then, on your Android phone or tablet:

    1. Click here to download the Netflix application.

    2. A blank screen will open and then close to indicate that the download has started.

    3. Once the download is complete, swipe your finger from the top of your screen to open your notification panel.

    4. Tap the downloaded Netflix file and select Install.

    5. The installation is complete when the notification bar at the top of the screen displays Netflix successfully installed.

    6. Locate and launch the Netflix application.

    7. If prompted, enter your e-mail address and Netflix password using the on-screen keyboard.

You are now ready to watch Netflix on your Android phone or tablet.

    Hope my question was helpful

Which smartphone is better between Realme X7 5G and Mi 10i?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 10:14 PM PST

Realme has launched its latest mid-range aircraft in its X-series, the Realme X7 Pro 5G. It is equipped with the new Dimensity 1000+ chipset and supports 5G.

The Realme X7 Pro 5G was launched in a single variant and competes with the Xiaomi Mi 10i. The Mi 10i is another 5G compatible device and was launched earlier this year.

To help you decide which smartphone to buy we have compared the two devices.

The Realme X7 Pro is available in the Flipkart online store and Realme in the color options Fantasy and Mystic Black. It is currently only available in one variant.

The Xiaomi Mi 10i is available in the Midnight Black, Atlantic Blue and Pacific Sunrise color options on Amazon India, the Mi online store, the Mi Home store and Mi retail stores across the country.

The Realme X7 Pro 5G features a 6.55 inch Full HD + AMOLED display with 1200 nits brightness, 120 Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and comes with a perforated notch in the upper left corner.

Xiaomi Mi 10iXiaomi : On the other hand, the Mi 10i comes with a slightly larger 6.67" Full HD+ LCD screen with a brightness of 450 nits, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and has a perforated notch in the middle. While the Xiaomi Mi 10i has a larger screen, the Realme X7 Pro features an AMOLED display that offers deep blacks, vivid colors and saves battery life.

Realme X7 Pro 5G vs Xiaomi Mi 10i: The Realme X7 Pro 5G is equipped with a 4500 mAh battery with support for the SuperDart 65 W fast charge. The device can be charged from 0 to 100 in just 35 minutes. The Xiaomi Mi 10i is powered by a larger 4820 mAh battery with support for 33 W fast charge. The device can be charged from 0 to 100 in 58 minutes. While the Mi 10i has a larger battery, the Realme X7 Pro 5G offers a much faster charge, allowing you to quickly charge your device.

Type of water to fill Xiaomi Mijia Air Humidifier

    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 08:29 PM PST

I own this humidifier from xiaomi, and am wondering what type of water to fill it with. The seller was not very well informed, and was unable to answer my question. Is tap water okay, or do I have to use distilled water? I saw this manual somewhere when searching for what type of water to fill a xiaomi humidifier with, and found it odd that it says to not use distilled water. The thing is, is my model similar to the one stated in the model. Also, what type of humidifier is mine? I own a couple of ultrasonic humidifiers at home, and the type of water to be used in those are distilled water.

    Mi 10t USB-C audio quality?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 07:24 PM PST

I am intending to buy a Mi 10t in a few days but I am coming from a phone (LG V20) that had an awesome headphone jack sound and I am so much spoiled by that. I am not the kind of person to go with a Bluetooth headset because of the pain of charging one extra battery and keeping the record of how much battery it has when I need it anytime. I have a simple question, does a USB-C to audio jack dongle, with Mi 10t give good sound or it is not good.

I have been reading a lot of stuff online and a lot of them suggest that these dongles don't give great sound technically because the DAC's position changed from phone to headphone.

    Unlock and Root

    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 11:14 AM PST

Hello everyone,i would like to root my phone (Xiaomi Note 8 Pro) with magisk but I'm confused about few thing :

1)Does unlock need to reset my data ?

2)If it does , does it reset the phone just after starting the 7 days cooldown or is it after the 7 days when it finally reboot unlocked ?

3)I have a shit tone of thing on my phone like lots of people , is there a way to make a back up of everything not just mail, sms, contact like google, i know there mi cloud but its still not enough, i tried MiPC suite but new phone aren't able to use it. if it possible i would just re-install the back-up and it put everything into the phone like before the reset ?

4)After root i know "find device" will not work anymore , what more will not work anymore ?

    Thanks

Help needed /w new MI gateway and window/door sensors (creating automation)

    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 05:16 PM PST

    Hi all,

I was wondering how could I set up automation to turn lights off when I leave from house and turn them on when I come back. Thing is that there are two doors I have to open before leaving the house. I'd say hallway and corridor. I don't yet have a motion sensor to pair with gw so I cannot use that. Also if I set automation to turn lights off when the first door is opened and the second is opened (leaving from the house) then if someone comes for a visit I'd have a light show every time I open the doors.

Probably i'm just too tired to think this out. :)

    Thanks and sorry!

Cannot connect Note 8 Pro to Wireless Extender network

    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 02:51 PM PST

I have a Tp-Link RE650 Range Extender set up and working fine with two distinct SSIDs for the 2.4 and 5GHz channels. Laptops and tablets can connect to it without any issue. The Note 8 Pro can't!

I've tried with both bands. It just gets stuck on "Obtaining IP Address" and never connects (it' stops after a while with no error).

I've done a factory reset on the extender and there's nothing in the "Thether App" (the extender's app) to indicate any problems. The phone is not blocked. This seems like something specifically to do with the phone.

    Any ideas?

Does Xiaomi throttle devices based on battery health like Apple used to do?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 11:13 PM PST

I have been using my Xiaomi Note 6 Pro for 2 years now. During the first year, it was quite snappy (for a budget device). But after that I started noticing slowdowns (especially after the MIUI 12 update). It reached a point where it was almost unusable. It was unable to run more than a single app at the same time. Apps would straight up hang and crash.

I tried factory resetting the device, but didn't see any significant improvement. So, I flashed LineageOS 17.1 on it and the difference was night and day. It has gone back to being as snappy as it was when I first bought it. However, I noticed that the battery life is not as good as MIUI. On MIUI it easily lasted 1.5 days with moderate-to-heavy use. But on Lineage it lasts around a day (which is good enough for me given the huge performance and usability improvements).

Although I don't know if this happens to other Mi/Redmi/Poco devices, but I am quite sure that MIUI was throttling my device. I was wondering if anyone here have had a similar experience.

More than 4gb ram. Budget 200-300€, card slot, good value for money.

    Posted: 02 Mar 2021 07:15 AM PST

Budget: 200-300 € - can be slightly more or less (new or used)

    Country: Estonia

What I use the phone for: listening to music and podcasts, watching videos, reddit, emails, calendar.

Currently, I've been thinking about these phones (feel free to comment on them or add an alternative suggestion): Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T or Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro

Features in the order from most important to least important.

    1. Good value for money / memory card slot
    2. Build quality
    3. Performance
    4. More than 4 GB ram
    5. Screen
    6. Speakers
    7. Camera

Obviously this price won't get me flagship specs. I'd just want to know what are currently the best phones in this price range.

If it's not too much trouble, please include the reason why you think this phone is nice.

    Thank you very much
