    Poco X3 or Mi 10t?

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 06:41 PM PST

hi everyone, i need your sincere suggestions.

I have been a LG user from last 5-6yrs, firstly G2 and right now V20. But this time i considered xiaomi for the first time and was very disappointed. I finalized buying Mi 10t lite and from the last 2months its short in market and they (xiaomi's own stores) don't know if it will be available or not. Anyhow i have waited too long for a dam phone. I have now 3 options for which i need your suggestion.

    1. Mi 10t
    2. Poco X3 NFC
    3. LG V50 (refurbished)

LG V50 is solely for the reason that i have V20 right now but i am very skeptic about buying a used phone now in 2021. There was a time when it was worth it but not anymore.

Budget is not an issue, i can buy either of Poco or Mi 10t But first of all i am not a gamer at all, i play games very occasionally and that too are not graphic intensive at all. So, a 144Hz and SD865 is not a very hard requirement for me. I am very much an audiophile and LG V20 has spoiled me a lot with it's dam good sound (via audio jack) so, great quality sound is a must.

I have been reading forums here and there that Poco X3 kills any 3rd party launcher and i am a Nova launcher prime guy, no compromise on that.

How bad is the back cover rattling in Poco X3, i will surely use a case, so can it be ignored?

How much is the difference in Poco X3 & Mi 10t LCD pannel? Aren't they the same?

    My main concerns are:

    1. Dam good battery life
    2. i can tolerate a little bit of stutter but not too much
    3. nova launcher prime as primary launcher, i am not a big fan of gestures
    4. great audio via jack/bluetooth & speakers
    5. a decent camera

    So, what you guys suggest?

My budget is $300 any suggestions?

    Mi Band 4 Replacement Strap

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 08:57 PM PST

My strap which came with the Mi band 4 box recently broke and I've been looking for replacements on eBay. Has anyone here bought a stainless steel strap before, and is it comfortable for exercising? Or would you recommend I buy a normal silicone strap?

How to root redmi note 5 pro without PC/Custom recovery

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 08:44 PM PST

Hi, so as the title says I want to root my Redmi note 5 pro. The issue is that I don't have a PC and because of that only I don't even have custom recovery. I tried using king root but it was of no use. Is it even possible to do this without PC?

Mi 10T Pro new update problems

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 09:52 AM PST

An hour ago my phone updated to the stable 12.1.2.0 version, then these problems happened. Some icons of some apps have totally disappeared from the system launcher, both using it in classic mode or with the drawer; also tried to use an alternative launcher such as Nova launcher but full screen gestures no longer work, before this update they worked. why?

I discovered another bug, when I trie to go to the app info via recent apps, it glitches.

    The Xiaomi battery replacement experience

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 03:07 AM PST

    The story so far:

I have a old mi8, still a good phone but almost three years later the battery is not in top shape. Well, no problem, just buy a new one. Opening the phone was quite simple, even if the "glue everything together" approach is annoying, and the actual battery replacement is very easy.

    But

So far I tried 3 batteries from different ebay sellers and every single one of them is a fake (no serial number, no qr for part, no production date, terrible capacity) even worse than a 3 years old used original.

Why it is so difficult to find a good battery in Europe?

Help, cameras aren't working on my Mi Note 10, on any app.

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 01:42 PM PST

So, 2 days ago i was going to take a picture and turned the constant flash light on, the lens were blurry so i cleaned them on my t-shirt. When i did this, my phone froze and restarted, since then i can not use any camera on any app, my device always freezes and restarts. I can not even use my bank app. I'm running miui 12.0.4 global.

    Xiaomi MI10T camera module

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 01:15 PM PST

I recently crushed my camera and the focus stopped working. I am wondering if any of you know where I could buy the main camera module. It seems weird that there is none on Aliexpress since there is one for almost every other Xiaomi phone. Thanks for the info!

Do Mi Desk Lamps 1S work *without* any app?

    Posted: 26 Feb 2021 12:26 PM PST

I couldn't find it explicitly said in Xiaomi's website or elsewhere in the Internet: can I use a Mi Desk Lamp 1S without any app, any wifi, any "smartness" at all?

I want to buy the lamp because its light seems good and it's not too expensive. But I don't want to connect it to anything, ever.

There is a knob in the lamp, and it seems to work without any apps, but am I going to miss some obvious function if I refuse to connect it? From the website (https://www.mi.com/global/mi-led-desk-lamp-1s), I don't see how to switch modes using the knob. If they are simply preconfigured color and brightness setups, it's fine for me, but if they are some "exclusive" app-only feature, then I feel I'd be lacking.
