Posted: 23 Jan 2021 06:53 AM PST I have a huge playlist in YouTube, and I would like to have them as Mp3. Is there any app that can do that? (A FOSS app is preferred but not compulsory) [link] [comments] |
Best app for discovering new apps? Posted: 23 Jan 2021 06:39 AM PST A few years ago I used to use AppHunt but that has since shut down and I've not been able to find an alternative. Do y'all know any app or website for finding new apps? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Jan 2021 08:27 PM PST I played piano a few days ago. It was a hand practice, so basically a few notes with patterns. About an hour later on my reccomend in youtube, I found a video titled "This will make anyone who has seen hamilton cry" or something like that. Ive never seen hamilton or searched about it prior to this. The video had the same notes that i played. Is it possible that the app listened to me playing the piano and recommended this to me? Btw idk where to ask this question so i decided i would ask it here? Culd anyone also tell me where i could ask such a question? [link] [comments] |
Anyone have any music player recommendations? (Not Spotify, Apple music or google play music) Posted: 23 Jan 2021 01:36 AM PST Im looking for one that allows me to play anything from mp3 to flac im not looking for something like spotify or google music. Ive been using phonograph but it has a few bugs. Ex.1 where you can't make playlist with songs or favs 2 can't change cover art for albums. i don't really mind if its free or pay blank. I just have nc where to look a quick Google search gives me the same results that led me to phonograph ( also if anyone is wondering the paid and free premium have this same problem)(its open source so pre is free) so i figured it would be best to ask here [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jan 2021 08:04 AM PST Hey all if you're like me and have been trying to find the best email app listen here. After testing out so many I downloaded FairEmail 2 days ago and I love it! I was switching off between Bluemail and Outlook but I believe my search is finally over. The main focus is privacy but the app is so customizable. I plan on buying the pro soon to support the development ! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jan 2021 07:57 AM PST I want to read book pdfs. Problem is that text is too small, if i zoom then navigation is a bit difficult. I tried reading mode on few pdf readers, but they are not behaving well with mathematical formulae(like log(2n) rendered improperly) and images in pdf is often shown inverted or distorted in reading mode. Can you please suggest a pdf reader which shows image and formulae properly in reading mode? Edit: in all apps i have tried, xodo pdf reader has best reading mode but images in its reading mode were not in proper orientation. [link] [comments] |
I developed an app for tracking your cricket statistics Posted: 23 Jan 2021 12:38 AM PST Hey everyone, This is for all the cricketers out there - an android application for tracking the statistics from all the cricket matches you play. You simply type in your scores (with the bat and ball) and this app will automatically calculate your career statistics like average, strike-rate, economy, etc. It's a fairly simple app that I hope some of you find useful. Please feel free to give any feedback or suggestions on how to improve the app further. Here's the link to the Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alstondmello.cricketcareertracker [link] [comments] |

Looking for a team app with process trackers Posted: 23 Jan 2021 11:17 AM PST I am looking for an app which will let me and my teammate keep track of processes at our work. Eg, there will be Process X, under which there will be Task 1, Task 2...Task 5. One of us can start a new job under Process X (named Job 1). The app will automatically have the tasks under Job 1. Any teammate can mark a task as complete so other teammates know at which stage the job is. There can be multiple processes with their unique task list. Trello has a similar system (where the tasks are placed side by side as cards, and the jobs can be dragged and dropped to whichever card the job is at/last finished). Unfortunately, Trello is causing issues with signing in for my teammate. We would prefer the app to be easy and fast to use (not too many taps in order to add a job or complete a task). Free is good, paid is okay too, but would probably avoid subscription type apps. Thanks for the help. [link] [comments] |
Looking for an app to encrypt files automatically Posted: 23 Jan 2021 11:04 AM PST Hello all, I am currently syncing some folders on my smartphone to my Nextcloud via FolderSync. However, FolderSync cannot encrypt files. Therefore, I am looking for an app that can automatically create an encrypted copy of files on a regular basis, so I can then upload these encrypted files to my Nextcloud using FolderSync. I already tried Boxcryptor, but the app can't encrypt automatically, it always has to be triggered manually. Does anyone have any ideas? [link] [comments] |
Free minimalistic android launcher Posted: 23 Jan 2021 10:23 AM PST Is there a free minimalistic android launcher that's completely free and doesn't lock some key features behind a pay wall? [link] [comments] |
Open links in external browser. Posted: 23 Jan 2021 10:22 AM PST I have my default browser set to Chrome, and in apps such as twitter I have unchecked "Use in app browser". Yet in all of my apps (twitter, various reddit apps), links always open in a smaller window that isn't Chrome. How do I convince android I really want to use Chrome? [link] [comments] |

[REQ] Looking for a stopwatch app that will let me log timestamps by category Posted: 22 Jan 2021 08:58 PM PST Basically, I want to start a stopwatch, then hit custom labeled buttons to log the time at that point for that button so I end up with a list of timestamps for each button. Use case: I go to the race track to watch my grandson's go kart race. I start the camera and stop watch app at the same time. As I watch the race and see the humorous and exciting moments, I can hit a button that I've labeled "pink helmet - funny" every time the kid in the pink helmet spins out. A dozen different buttons would be great! After the race, I can go back and edit the movie much faster knowing where the main interest points are already. Is there an app like that? Posted: 23 Jan 2021 02:23 AM PST It needs to be android/ Windows 10 or both. Google integration is a plus not a necessity. KISS! [link] [comments] |
Android alternative to universal search in iOS Posted: 23 Jan 2021 06:04 AM PST Any Android alternative to iOS universal search The universal search in iOS is incredibly useful. One can pretty much search for anything from documents or files in the phone, apps, web searches, maps to emails. It even has an inbuilt dictionary function. This is something I use all the time and saves a lot of effort. Is there any viable alternative in Android. P.S - I'am thinking about switching to android.. rather switching back. This is one of the key features, besides others I would definitely miss. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 23 Jan 2021 09:27 AM PST there is a default android personal dictionary. gboard can access/use it but recently they made some update which is making issues with gboard and excel. i am trying to find an app that is if possible similar to gboard or at least can support android personal dictionary. it should also have swipe functionality since it's my most used feature. Posted: 22 Jan 2021 06:40 PM PST I'm not the dev, but I noticed this app on App Sales for free. It seems to be a bit like Weather Timeline (from what I can see, since I never got the chance to use it before it was dropped). It's kinda cool, I think. [link] [comments] |

Any app to catch apps that are using microphone and camera? Posted: 23 Jan 2021 08:01 AM PST As the title says I want an app which can notify me if another app is using microphone or camera and I would like if it is able to stop that app from using micro/camera. I preffer open-source apps. Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
