Posted: 21 Jan 2021 04:11 PM PST I know there's been some negativity here regarding software updates, and I'm afraid to inform you that OnePlus hasn't released their kernel sources for the Android 11 Open Beta for the Nord and 7 Series. I made a couple of posts a year ago just to get some traction, and I intend to do the same again (YAY). Not releasing their sources is a clear violation of the GPLv2. That time, the 7 Series were the only devices up-to-date, while the others were lagging behind for a month, roughly. Ironic that now, having a 7 Pro in my hands, I'm again asking for you guys to help me out here. It may not seem like a big deal, but the sources need to be up from the time their build hits the public. That helps, for instance, developers building custom kernels for the new firmware. It's not just about that, though. The archived threads I linked in here will also have a lot of useful info about this issue. You guys can check their GitHub yourselves just to make sure. Thanks for your attention! [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Jan 2021 05:02 PM PST I'm getting a ton of glitches like the notification shade getting stuck half down, or the screen just freezing for a split second and going to the home screen during a multitasking app change, and a bunch of just tiny nuisances like that along with
My phone is practically factory reset and is pretty much empty along with the fact that I don't abuse it at all. It's the first phone I've bought in full from the oneplus site and I wanted to keep it for a very long time but it hasn't even been that long and it's already in worse shape than my galaxy note 4 from like 2013 or something. I'm afraid to send it to oneplus to get it fixed after seeing the texas horror stories with support and I don't want a samsung or anything like that so honestly guys, I think I'm getting a nokia 3310 or something cause this ain't it. Just installed 7 Pro Android 11 beta as a first time beta user Posted: 21 Jan 2021 09:26 AM PST I have been using it for a day and everything seems to be in order. Glad I've made this decision. [link] [comments]
Finally scored a Oneplus 8 Pro max specs Posted: 21 Jan 2021 10:43 AM PST And it only cost me $500 lol, now to add it to the long list of nonsense I've bought over the last year. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Jan 2021 03:41 PM PST Hi fellow Oneplusers. Since I bought my 7 pro, I've been using shelf, because I find it very useful (and the launcher doesn't allow me to put anything other than that on the right side of the home screen haha). Anyway, I've noticed that it was recently somehow updated, it started showing the weather as a "background" for the shelf. I have to admit, it does look nice. Nevertheless, it's been a bit laggy ever since. When I swipe right from the home screen, it doesn't transition smoothly. It somehow looks like it's struggling to open it for a split second. The reason it bothers me so much is that everything else works so smoothly, and it really makes that lag more noticeable. Does anyone have the same problem? Does anyone perhaps know if I can somehow return it to what it was, because I really prefer smoothness to looks? Cheers [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Jan 2021 11:45 AM PST Just downloaded and installed the Android 11 beta for the 7t. The change log had nothing in it, which could also be a sign that something was off. I installed it as restarted the phone. It started boot looping. So i went in the bootloader for a solution. Now im stuck in the bootloader as well. Like...no matter what i do i end up in the bootloader again and again. My phone is literally bricked rn. I got the phone like 2 weeks ago and im kinda starting to regret it. Any solutions? Any help will be appreciated! [link] [comments]
I added a tempered glass screen protector and am having a refreshed experience with my OP7T. Posted: 21 Jan 2021 10:07 AM PST I used a 3T for three years and managed to leave the included thin plastic screen protector on it. I did the same with my new 7T for the past 9 months until my newborn son managed to get a hold of it and put a couple of noticable dents in the plastic. I went ahead and researched and ordered a package of tempered glass screen protectors for $9.99 USD after my son got ahold of my phone again and added a couple more dents in the plastic. I applied it to my phone yesterday and I am having a wonderfully refreshed experience using my phone. It is a lot smoother than the included plastic screen protector and it now takes less effort to run my fingers across the screen, especially with one hand. Some might say that I would have probably had this same experience if I had simply removed included plastic screen protector in the beginning but I am the type to want to stretch my phone for as many years as I can so I will always have a screen protector and case on my phone. I probably could have stretched my 3T a couple of more years but I decided to upgrade when the 7T went on sale and keep the 3T as a spare backup phone. I had given my last phone to a friend (bright red Nexus 5) after buying the 3T. Well, I thought I would share my new experience with you guys before the newness wares off since things like this don't normally happen again after getting used to a new phone. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week! Thanks for reading if you made it this far! [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Jan 2021 08:23 PM PST I had a Nokia 7.1 and got a OnePlus 7t. I have had numerous Android phones and when I start them up I sign into my google accounts and my email notifications have always worked perfectly without any extra setup. I recently got a 7T and I do not get notifications for gmail. I have tried every fix I have found online but nothing works. How can I get my notifications back? Thanks for any help. Posted: 21 Jan 2021 08:01 PM PST Upgrading to the Nord from my 3, only because the rear camera has stopped working (and I've already replaced the camera once before) I wasn't really impressed with any of the releases since my 3 until now, the Nord is OnePlus going back to its roots. I am going to be installing LineageOS along with Magisk and Gcam straight away! [link] [comments]
Any way to revert from OOS 11 OnePlus shelf to the OOS10 one? I'm on OxygenOS 10 OP6 Posted: 21 Jan 2021 04:14 PM PST You know how recently the OnePlus launcher on OOS10 was updated so some things look like OOS11 OnePlus launcher? Is there any way to revert back to the old look? Honestly it's just for the OnePlus shelf, I prefer the clean black transparent look rather than the light blue with clouds [link] [comments]

How do I know if my 7 pro is warp charging? Posted: 21 Jan 2021 03:04 PM PST I was previously using a 30w huwawei power brick with the official 1+ cable. Now I have the official power brick, but a 3rd party cable because my old one broke. Will it warp charge? And how will I know? [link] [comments]
Quality of the blacks in lowest brightness has improved dramatically in latest openos beta 11. Posted: 21 Jan 2021 09:21 AM PST Unable to replicate green tint issue in lowest of brightness. I've checked in various apps. Seems to have been a software bug all this while now. [link] [comments]
Switch from Samsung S9 to Oneplus 7T Pro? Posted: 21 Jan 2021 08:04 AM PST I currently have the Samsung S9 and I am am considering buying the Oneplus 7T Pro. I have heard that it is a really good phone, but will it make a significant difference for me? My main reasons to buy it are the Camera, Display and Battery. Also: Where can I get the 7T Pro? Any one getting screen "freak outs" on your 7 Pro on 11 beta 1? Posted: 21 Jan 2021 07:20 AM PST Just as you scroll through your screens, it will just randomly start jumping all over the place. It's intermittent, and I can close all the screens with the power button, but never experienced this with any of the 10 builds. (Just wanting to see if it's just me before i try to report it to OP as a bug...) [link] [comments]
OnePlus 5T - Accidental screenshots after update - so annoying! Posted: 21 Jan 2021 08:50 AM PST After a recent update to my OnePlus 5T I am now taking dozens of accidental screenshots every day. A single press of the power button will sometimes switch off the screen (just as I would intend) but sometimes it will take a screenshot instead. This is so annoying! It's like a 500 millisecond press will switch off the screen, and a 501 millisecond press takes a screenshot. If I want to take a screenshot then I will do it the old way holding volume down and power. I want the power button to just control the power! Rant over, how do I fix this? [link] [comments]
OnePlus 8 stuck on Crashdump mode Posted: 21 Jan 2021 12:59 PM PST Hi everyone. My oneplus 8 is stuck in Crashdump mode after trying to root it. For the last two hours I am trying to fix it. I tried using the msm download tool but it gets stuck in the following error: 'Param preload failed'. Ofcourse I googled and tried everything. Different drivers, different usb port. using the official oneplus cable. I tried everything but nothing works. Please help. I have a oneplus 8 with the newest update installed (got the update this week) I used a Windows 10 laptop trying to fix it. [link] [comments]
