| I developed an app for downloading Spotify Playlists for Free Posted: 22 Jan 2021 04:00 AM PST I made a functional Android app that you could use to download Spotify Playlists for Free and I did it with the use of Spotify API and Youtube-DL. It simply fetches the tracks of the desired playlist from a link through the Spotify API and downloads the very first result from Youtube in audio format. | WANTED: a Better Open With app Posted: 21 Jan 2021 04:59 PM PST This idea was discussed 6 years ago on Reddit: What apps would you like to have that don't exist and the app Better Open With was developed based on that. As Better Open With says: "With so many cool Android apps, Better Open With saves you the hassle of having to choose only one default app handler when you click a filetype, and without having to choose between "only once" and "always"!" Unfortunately, Better Open With hasn't been updated since 2018 and I sent email to the dev which bounced. Better Open With still works, but it has issues such as the Opera browser being listed twice in the browser choices and some other annoyances. It would be great if someone could develop a similar (non-rooted) app that would be updated as needed. There are no other apps that can do what this app does that I have ever found. For some reason, a lot of devs seem to like releasing copies of apps where the original is updated and superior. [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 22 Jan 2021 11:26 AM PST So there is this site from a coaching centre and due to pandemic they take live online classes and then upload it on there website(which can be accessed by its students). Now it is not that secured a website. The class video when it is clicked to play it plays on a video player of JW Player(powered by jw player). I want to download all these classes in mp4 format so that I can access them later. Now browsers like Aloha Browser,Kode Browser usually have an option to download videos which are meant to be streamed on any site. But in these classes are not being able to download. UC Browser has a dedicated default video player called uc player in which if you want to watch a video of any website it will play on uc player only. This feature enables me to download the classes through uc browser. But the video is downloaded in .m3u8 files. It basically divides a 1 gb video into multiple small mbs(like 10 mb videos) and hence it can only be played on uc browser app. And after the ban of uc browser the app was unstable and glitchy and no updated apk is also there. There is also no way to convert .m3u8 files into mp4 files. I am forced to play the video on my phone only and on uc broswer only. I need a browser or any solution to download all these classes(approx 70 being 2hrs each) in mp4 format so that I can watch them on my laptop later. [link] [comments]  |
