| How do I see what apps are using a specific API? (AlarmManager) Posted: 27 Jan 2021 07:16 PM PST I have a Chronus widget that shows my next alarm but it is shows a false 'next alarm' every night. I made sure both my Samsung Clock app and Google Clock app weren't the culprit. After doing some research, the widget can be thrown off by other apps that access the AlarmManager API. I can't seem to locate which app is accessing that API that makes the widget think the next alarm is at, in this case, 10:45pm. Is there an easy way to identify which apps have API access? | How to enable password prompt per work profile app again ? Posted: 27 Jan 2021 07:08 PM PST Hi, I have been using a Work Profile in Android 11 on a personal phone (Pixel 3A) for a while and up until now, the behaviour was the following :
I rebooted my phone today, and now I only can enable/disable all apps by using the switch (and my password) but I don't have the per app password prompt nor hidden notifications anymore. | Looking for an android device with external touchscreen monitor Posted: 27 Jan 2021 01:27 PM PST I have a peculiar request: I am trying to find a large touchscreen device that I can setup as a "general purpose" station in my home gym. I'd like to be able to use standard streaming services (netflix, youtube, etc.) as well as some "hands on" apps for browsing news and what not. I know I could use a chromecast and TV but I'd like to be able to interact with the device directly from the large display rather than from whatever small device I'm casting from. I started looking for large tablets in the +20" range, but I haven't been coming up with much. And definitely not the price range I am looking for. I'm not looking for anything super fancy or high resolution, just something large that I can comfortably view from a distance, up to a few feet. I was wondering if there was a small android device with no dedicated display but instead connects to an external display through HDMI. | Dangers of not updating to android 10 Posted: 27 Jan 2021 02:17 PM PST I have a motorola one zoom. My mate has one also and updated to android 10 a few weeks ago. Ever since, his experience is worse than android 9 because of bugs. The worse being the single button navigation is fucked, doesn't go back to last app with 1 swipe. As a result I have been hitting 'ignore' when the android 10 update message pops up on mine. I tried casting the screen to PC to read it better but it came up blank as apparently protected content can not be casted to screen. So I went through the cache folder of the app and found the PDF. It takes up about 3 gb in my phone and just keeps increasing no matter what I do. I don't even have many bookmarks, tabs, etc. I decided to look at the data stored in Chrome and it says that one website is taking up 13 gb. Another is 7.3 gb, and there are about six more websites that hit around 1 gb each. I understand this number might be inflated somehow but I have no idea how this is even possible, where that data is located on my phone, or what will happen if I try to clear it. (I don't usually go deep into my phone's settings) My question is whether it's ok to use the "clear & reset" button, or if that might make the problem even worse in the future. | Samsung Galaxy A11 can't leave a group chat Posted: 27 Jan 2021 04:39 PM PST Dumb people do dumb things and I can't figure out how to entirely leave 6 group chats I was added to within 48 hours. I've looked in the menu within the texts and it doesn't allow me to do so it seems. The slider that says "Group Conversation" doesn't do anything and the add/remove people is about them in your contacts, not in the chat so it naturally doesn't include my own number Please help. The people in chat and I are very frustrated and if anyone can include S10 and S7 I'd much appreciate for those who are stuck with me. [link] [comments]  |

| Oneplus8t full screen video issues. Posted: 27 Jan 2021 04:23 PM PST I just got an 8t. Im trying to view videos in fullscreen but regardless of weather full screen is enabled in the settings or not, I'm not able to watch videos in full screen. The only exception to this is if im watching netflix on the 16.30 version. But on hbo max or youtube, it is not fullscreen. Here are some pictures - https://imgur.com/gallery/OyfDCig. Is there a fix to this issue? somehow the video looks better on HBO Max when the full screen option is disabled in settings. Is it the same on samsung s20 fe?
