Peek - exchange instant photos with random people, much like Rando (remember that one?) Posted: 29 Dec 2020 04:30 AM PST Peek lets you send and receive random photos to and from random people all over the world. Give it a go, it's fun: On Google Play I really liked Rando concept, which strips everything "social" from communicating to other people, and leaves only pure moment, the instant of your life as you see it, without any words. And then you see a moment of someone else's life. Unlike Rando, there's no location, but there are usernames and you can continue the chat, if you fancy. You can also ban users, if they do not respect the spirit of the app. Wonder where it takes us) [link] [comments] |

How can i make the voice assistant open vanced? Posted: 29 Dec 2020 11:23 AM PST I want to be able to play music without opening my phone. If i can't is there another voice assistant app that will? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Dec 2020 10:57 AM PST Hi folks! I'd like to introduce my new app called Glance Weather. It's a widget that displays a detailed hourly forecast. I find this format much more useful for planning my day compared to a single cloud-and-sun icon because there is a big difference between only knowing that it will rain and knowing exactly when and for how long. There are already a couple of widgets like that out there but my goal was to optimize the following aspects: Intuitive & easy to read This was the top priority. I want to be able to grasp all the important information with only a quick look at my home screen (hence the name).
Simple & modern design My home screen is my castle. I look at it (too) many times every day. So even though I do want to see as much information as possible, I still want the widget to fit in and look nice. So the fonts, colors and overall look aim to match Material Design. Dark mode is also supported. Easy to use There is no complicated setup. You really just enter the desired location and you're good to go. I hope some of you will like it too and of course any questions or feedback are very welcome! [link] [comments] |
This ghostly 3D hand wallpaper - or is it an app? No one can find it. =( Posted: 29 Dec 2020 07:44 AM PST Here it is - moving the phone moves the 3D image in the phone making it look like a solid thing in the display. Nice! I don't know what to search for....... it's not "augmented reality" - that takes video and analyses it to add computer generated stuff. It's also not VR - that these days means two images projected in front of the eyes. It's not a "live wallpaper" because that covers animations and interactions with the fingers. It's some sort of phone velocity integration for viewing a 3D model - like the "reverse" of a VR headset. Any ideas? https://youtu.be/wFqnH2iemIc?t=389 In programming - JavaScipt in particular - these values are the alpha/beta/gamma values of the event "deviceorientation". [link] [comments] |

I am searching for app developers / coders Posted: 29 Dec 2020 10:49 AM PST I'm looking for groups or forums or portfolios of those that are capable of developing apps myself and a small group have an idea we want to work on but need more talent on board or at the very least insight! Any pointers or word is hugely appreciate, thank you in advance! - LEE [link] [comments] |
I would like an opinion on this... Posted: 28 Dec 2020 05:18 PM PST If you had a factory rooted device that you paid outright for (not affiliated with anyone....like an android box or a homebuilt android device for example). And all of a sudden, an app that is marketed and offered for free on the Play Store (no paid content and can be downloaded and used on any network for free) suddenly stops working and get a pop-up saying that because my device is rooted I can no longer use it. (It's a popular news app here in Ontario, Canada). Nothing in the TOS say anything about rooted devices and yes I read TOS's...being in IT for over 30 years I read them (you should just like any contract...just my opinion there). I'm not doing anything illegal and even subscribe to the cable company for my live TV. (I use the app as I don't care to rent or buy an expensive cable box for each TV in the house just to watch news). I have used the app since it came out almost 7 years ago.... Am I wrong to be upset that a company who owns the internet backbone, my ISP, the cable company AND the channel/app I'm trying to use out of line? I'm not blocking ads and it doesn't even require a login to use.... (I'm fine that the 24/7 live feed does require a cable subscription, but individual videos don't, and that's what I watch) I understand copyrights.....and I don't mind a 30 sec ad to watch a report...... Anyone have an opinion on this? To me this is like buying a new car...pulling into a gas station...fill your tank....and when you go to start the car it won't because the built-in GPS has already reported what station you're at and insert car company here will only let you use certain brands...... Looking for an honest opinion here not to get flamed or start an argument.... [link] [comments] |

Is there an app for thank you cards? Posted: 29 Dec 2020 07:40 AM PST I would pay for this! I would love to be able to have an app that allows me to sit with my phone during birthdays, showers, Christmas, etc. and take photos, jot down gift list as things are being opened. Then later I can select a stationary and mass create a series of thank you notes. Add some photos here and there, personalize the response on a few, and then hit Send and they all get emailed out. Is that a thing?? Or do I have to make it myself? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Dec 2020 02:53 AM PST Just trying to figure out what these app icons are for, if anyone possibly knows. Full transparency; my gf has been acting a bit odd, and to avoid an argument and me being wrong, I was hoping to rule out dating apps. I wasn't sure where else to ask. Thanks [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Explorer- Share your recommendations with your friends Posted: 29 Dec 2020 09:31 AM PST Hey. So I finally feel like I'm at a point of sharing this app with the community and although not the best moment to launch a travel app, here goes my pitch. Explorer is an app for people to share places they want to recommend with friends or other users. Travelling soon and tired of searching through forums, websites, or asking friends what to do? STOP NOW. Use Explorer to see what your friends or others love. Are you a travel junkie and want to keep track of where you've been? Save your location on a map. Bored and want to see what's happening locally? Search for local events Tired of telling family where to visit in your city? Make a detailed list of your favorite places and forward to your friends. Become an Explorer [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Dec 2020 06:54 AM PST I want to clean up my Facebook photos. Is there a App that I can use that allows me to mass delete pictures from a album? I don't want to delete whole albums or do every picture on its own🙄 [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Dec 2020 06:23 AM PST If my notes are synced and I suddenly lose my device can I restore them on another device?. I'm signed in with my Google account. If I download the colornote app on a new device and I sign in will I have all the notes from my previous device? [link] [comments] |
Blood pressure recording app that syncs across devices Posted: 29 Dec 2020 11:55 AM PST I am looking for a Blood pressure recording app that can sync across the devices. I would like to track my mom's BP after she starts new medication. The goal is, she takes her BP, enters the details in the app on her phone and that info will be synced to the app on my phone. In theory, I would ask her to record on Google Sheets but she is not that savvy to do it on tiny screen. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |

I want a decent clipboard application like the built in one in samsung Posted: 29 Dec 2020 01:59 AM PST I'm in need of a clipboard very much. I'm currently using gboard's built in keyboard. But it's pretty annoying that I have to pin the clips myself if I want more than two clips in the clipboard. But Samsung devices' native clipboard automatically saves and keeps up to every last 10 things you copied. And in playstore I'm finding apps which need to be opened specifically to get to the texts you copied, but I want them to accessible by long pressing, in Samsung devices' it shows the clipboard option beside the cut copy paste. Is there any app that you know of that meets these requirements? [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Expose by VIMAGE - Looping Live Glitch & Light Filters Posted: 29 Dec 2020 11:22 AM PST Hey there! I'm a co-founder of VIMAGE app, and I made a spin-off photo editor app that lets you add looping live filters to your photos. It's preset based, but the presets can be tweaked to your needs. The foreground is automatically selected by an on-device neural network. A lot of presets take advantage of it, for example see the "Matrix" filter, where the numbers are falling only in the background. The filter categories are the following: Glitch, Lights, Cyberpunk, Drip Art, Live background I just released the MVP a few days ago on Google Play, go grab it, I hope you will have fun! Any feedback, suggestion is highly appreciated! [link] [comments] |

Apps to make navigation bar like iPhone? Posted: 29 Dec 2020 11:00 AM PST Looking for a reliable good app (preferably free) which replaces the navigation bar with a navigation pill like the newest iPhones? App to use while watching movie. What's the name? Posted: 29 Dec 2020 10:29 AM PST Hey guys, I dunno where to ask this but recently I saw in some video that there is an android app which you could use while watching movie and it would show the important timestamps in the movies and would also give you scene by scene importance( incase you wanna skip the scene). Unfortunately they didn't mention the name of the app. Does anyone know the app I'm talking about. All suggestions are welcome. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
