| Posted: 01 Dec 2020 10:35 AM PST It's easier to take a picture in focus, indoors in the night/evening. Pictures are clearer. The 8 Pro takes photos faster. So far, I'm not getting photos that are smudged because I moved the phone too fast after taking a picture and it was still processing or something. I managed to take one that was slightly smudged, but it was in 48mp mode and I was *trying* to see if I could do it. I found the 8T photos to be extremely high ISO and very grainy. The Pro still has some graininess to it and uses a somewhat high ISO, but not as much. Things don't look so much like they are drawn or painted when I zoom in. There is more fine detail. The wide angle lens on the pro is wider than I thought it would be, given the hype about the 8T. It's a little more cropped, but still pretty wide. Both of them are very prone to lens flare. I wouldn't say it's exceptional, but it's far, far more acceptable. I wish they had put this setup in the 8T to start off with. The 8 Pro has made a much better first impression, it's about what I expected. At the moment I am happy. The only quirky thing I am finding about this new phone is I am not 100% sure it's registering every touch, but I hope that's me not being used to a curved screen yet. [link] [comments]  | ||

I purchased a new in box, sealed OnePlus bullets wireless 2 about 6 months ago from Facebook marketplace and the left ear bud has stopped working this morning. I contacted support but they told me I need the original invoice to submit an RMA. Is this accurate? I would have thought that the devices serial number would suffice for this. Can anyone advise on this? As it stands I don't really have a way to RMA them. Thanks Edit: thank you for your replies. The process of requiring proof of purchase for an RMA is new to me; and wasn't a process that was followed in companies I have worked for. However, for people to accusing me of trying to fraud OnePlus, that is a ridiculous accusation. I just wanted to know my options when purchasing something from an individual rather than OnePlus. | OnePlus 7T for $356 or 8T for $575? Posted: 01 Dec 2020 12:44 PM PST Hey guys, I was wondering if I should buy a OnePlus 7T (128GB, 8GB) for $356 or an 8T (128GB, 8GB) for $575. These are in USD and are the final prices, converted from CAD since I live in Canada. The 8T has some features that I like over the 7T, like the smaller bezels, the hole punch, the better performance and better battery life. However, it's also $219 USD more expensive and lacks a telephoto camera. Both sales are ending tonight, so I was hoping that you could help me out with my decision! I am switching from a Galaxy S8 by the way, can't wait to be able to root my phone without tripping a fuse. Thanks! Edit: These are the characteristics I'm look for the most in a phone:

Adapted Chinese is significantly cheaper (partially because I cannot find the 8gb EU model), and the previous OnePlus I had (OnePlus One) was adapted Chinese and seemed to work fine. | Very slow charging OP5t, HELP! Posted: 01 Dec 2020 05:10 PM PST When I plugged in my OnePlus 5t an hour ago, I thought my charger was broken. My phone does not recognize that it is charging, but the red LED lights up. It has been charging for an hour now and only went up 5%. When I go to the battery settings it doesn't even recognise its charging. Things I've tried (without fixing the problem): Cleaning out USB C port Other dash charger Other dash charging cable Other normal charger Factory reset Cache wipe (in the Recovery menu) Dail *#808#, says it's charging but not fast charging Found on a forum someone said it was Software based, but have been on Android 10 for weeks now with no issue before. Downloaded Android 9 and Android 10 beta, but can't update the OS because my battery is under 20%. Does someone have a solution for this problem? Or something that might work? Edit: when failing *#808#, and going to fast charging. It shows me it's charging at a current of about ~400ma. I believe this is way to low. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Help needed for keyboard/space bar Posted: 01 Dec 2020 04:41 PM PST Phone: OnePlus 8 First of all I'm not a super tech savvy person so if you can help please be descriptive lol. I'm not sure if it is my fat thumbs but with the keyboard I'm using (I'm assuming it's the default one) I'm CONSTANTLY activating the two buttons below the space bar while typing. I.e. the middle one (home) and the right one (open all apps). So I'm mid flow and more often I get all the open apps button activated and I end up then closing all apps by accident as my thumbs are still tapping away. So frustrating. It's happened twice while typing this up and seems worse since the last update. Am I rly just clumsy and tapping that button? Is there a way to make the space bar bigger/thicker so I'm less likely to hit those buttons? A part of me thinks it's buggy. There's a couple of folders I have on the front page that when I tap, a different folder opens up :/. Is my phone buggy?? Anyone else having this issue? [link] [comments]  | ||

When i plug my phone in to the charger it turns yellow for a second before turning blue( as if there's a notification). When i unplug, led goes off completely because there are no notifications. I have two minimized notifications, but that doesn't seem to be the problem because i can turn off led for those individual apps and it still turns blue Any help please [link] [comments]  | ||

It lets me select my device which says "Covered under OnePlus Protect." But on the following screen where I pick what kind of damage, it says Plan Not Active under every option. | Posted: 01 Dec 2020 01:31 PM PST Hello, I had my Oneplus 5 for 3 years now. And it's showing its age. I decided to change the battery and bought one from some kind of shop which stated on the packaging that the battery is "original" lol. So I tried changing it myself and used it for few days, but realized that my phone battery is draining much faster than with the old one, so I changed it back and after that my selfie camera is not working. I don't know if it's a hardware problem or software, but basically when I want to switch camera to selfie the button on the app doesn't do anything. ?? Back camera works, but it's really strange when I'm taking photo with instagram app or talking on messenger with camera it goes sideways, very strange. So basically unusable. Other things I have issues, even before changing battery is fingerprint scanner. It's basically not reacting to my fingerprint. I can go to settings, delete my fingerprints and add them again, then it maybe works for half a day, after that I have to use pin code all the time. It's annoying. Also, sometimes back button doesn't react well to the clicks and presses back the button two times. Is it time to retire my oneplus 5? [link] [comments]  |
