Posted: 03 Dec 2020 02:41 AM PST Hey, since I use android I don't receive any push notifications for emails. I use the Gmail app for my Gmail address and I only see new emails when I open the app. The Gmail support already told me that the app does not support push. I can't imagine any reason why this would be the case. Does anybody have push notifications for his Gmail emails? I'm using huawei p30 pro. Thank you in advance [link] [comments] |
S20+ with multiple conversations, same contact Posted: 02 Dec 2020 11:27 PM PST What the hell is going on with my phone?! I have two – four conversations with a single contact for just about every contact I have. every other text message that gets sent to me starts a new conversation. [link] [comments] |
Names on private lockscreen notifications? Posted: 03 Dec 2020 03:06 AM PST I just switched over from ios and was wondering if the content of my texts can remain private, but I would like to see the name of the person who texted for example if it's like : Annoying coworker's name sent 2 messsges Then I won't unlock right away and will read at my own time. But if I know the text is from an important person I'll unlock. This feature was on ios but on my note 20 ultra I'm only getting the option to hide content and the name and see how many texts but not who sends unless I unlock. [link] [comments] |
Bluetooth audio too quiet & no text messages Posted: 03 Dec 2020 02:35 AM PST Hi. I have two weird problems that I discovered a couple of days ago. My smartphone is Asus ZenFone Zoom ZE553KL.
The music played through a 3.5 mm jack cable with JBL GO has correct volume. When someone else's phone plays music through bluetooth with the very same speaker, the volume is also fine. When I play music through Baseus BA01 Bluetooth dongle + Ampeg BA108 aux, the volume is also very low. I didn't try with other smartphone though yet. Therefore it seems like for some reason my device started sending very weak Bluetooth signal or something. It used to work fine, just recently something went wrong. I recently experimented with equalizer apps, maybe it matters somehow.
The text messages sent by me to other people do work fine. I am also able to make and receive phone calls just fine. But both of the problems still persist even after doing Android Factory Data Reset (!!!) [link] [comments] |

OTG with pass through charging Posted: 02 Dec 2020 11:52 PM PST Tl;dr: can you recommend a cable or hub that will plug into my OnePlus 6T (host) and allow me to both charge the phone and plug in my wired keyboars for extended typing sessions? I have a OnePlus 6T. I plugged a USB-C hub with USB-A ports into my phone to use a wired mouse and keyboard. It worked splendidly. I want to be able to do this for extended sessions without draining my phone battery, so I'm looking for some kind of hub/cable that will allow me to both plug in my wired USB keyboard and still charge my phone. Most of the hubs with pass through charging are designed for use with laptops, and the reviews and Q&As on the Amazon product pages are full of contradictory anecdotes about whether or not they will work as I hope with the phone as the host rather than a Macbook. Does anybody know of a cable/hub that will work for me? [link] [comments] |
