Monitor revert 640x480 at a lower resolution

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 11:13 AM PST

hello, I have a 75hz monitor 1920x1080 the problem is 75hz is feel lag and scaling is wrong, I fixed but not complete, what I do I change the resolution to 1366x768 and chose refresh rate 59.887 but appear horizontal lines only on a low resolution at 59.887hz, the second problem is when I chose 60hz that appear only from "display adapter properties" on any lower resolution 1600x900,1400x900, 800x600, etc is revert me to 640x480, and when I go back to 1920x1080 75hz is lag and scaling wrong and work and feel different only when I put at lower resolution 59.887hz and go back to 1920x1080.

Someone claims to have the same @gmail.com account as I do.

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 03:02 PM PST

I got an email about ordering some leggings from a college Barnes and noble for a 100 bucks. Seeing as I'm 32 and a man ... I was curious. I logged into the account by resetting the password and getting the person's name, number, and address off of the account. I decided to try and text the number and see what's going on. Sure enough, they responded claiming they have had this email for years and use it every day. I asked several times about spelling and variations to see if maybe she missed a period or a number or something, but nope, she wrote it out exactly as mine.

I even looked this person up on Facebook, and it links to a real college-aged girl from the area the address claimed her to be.

I don't know what the deal is. this seems impossible, and it doesn't seem like she's scamming me since she paid with her own card and all she did was make an account with the store...

Am I missing the bigger scam here? Is it possible Gmail could have two identical emails?

    Thanks for your help!

First gaming PC, constant ethernet connection problems

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 11:39 AM PST

Sorry if this is not a correct sub, I want to ask in several places because I'm desperate at this point.

Hi! So about two months ago I built my first PC (with lots of help from my friend). Here is my set up (with windows). For internet I'm (pretty sure) using TP-LINK AV600 Nano Powerline Starter Kit.

For the first month my internet work perfectly fine without any problems, and then one day without any warnings it stopped and when I run troubleshoot I got hit with ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration, and trust me when I tell you that I did every single resolution I could find on the internet. After a week I decided to take it up to a repair place, when I got it back the place was a bit busy so I didn't want to take up too much of their time and only quickly asked what was wrong - it was something relating to windows system and corruption, I genuinely don't remember, sorry.

When I got back home my internet worked for about 2-3 days before it stopped due to the same "valid ip configuration" issue.

I have absolutely no idea what to do at this point - should I take it back to the repair place again? Try a different Ethernet cable? Get a new powerline kit thing? Or move into Wi-Fi cards/dongles?

How do you fix a black screen (going to safe mode or anything else suggestable), without a keyboard/mouse?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 03:35 AM PST

I deleted my laptop "standard keyboard" on my windows 8 because it was pressing buttons without my command so I decided to delete it via Device Manager since I already had a USB keyboard at hand. Now when I boot it up it's just a black screen and nothing else, I look at the power button and sometimes it blinks and doesn't light up then lights up again, I don't see a pattern or a reason of that happening just mentioning. My only way out I think is a safe mode option or a secret laptop button somewhere I can press

    Huawei phone problem

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 03:52 PM PST

I have a Huawei Ascend XT H1611 Phone and for some reason, I cannot open my camera or gallery or physically see any images I took. I try restarting my phone, when I restarted my phone the AT&T logo didn't have a startup sound. Usually it's supposed to have a startup sound unless if you manually deactivate it. I did multiple factory resets for this problem before and it worked, however it keeps coming back. What is the problem with my phone?

    Hopefully Easy?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 04:36 PM PST

My keyboard randomly inserts "9" and "0" into anything I type. I have to write a 10 page paper to finish off this semester, and would prefer not to go back and delete thousands of randomly placed numbers individually. Is there a way I can find and delete all the unwanted 9's and 0's in Word?

    I have a 2016 MacBook Air.
