| Posted: 01 Aug 2020 03:24 PM PDT Is it just me or are budget phones a bit shit at the moment, I know it's subjective to a degree but I bought my mi a2 lite for so cheap that I really could call it "affordable" and although it's far from perfect it has a lot of pros, it's compact, it has a large battery, full HD IPS screen, nice design (IMO) and the mi a3 followed similarly (yeah yeah I know the 720p screen wasn't what we were expecting but it was good enough for a budget phone) Now it seems nearly every phone is gigantic, a bit ugly or just kind of shit and over priced, I recently cracked my screen and I'm trying to decide whether I should replace the screen or upgrade but there's just nothing out there, the redmi 9 looks nice but it's shot up in price and it's running a mtk CPU, the note range seems to be getting watered down and they're just so fucking big, seriously all I really want is a Qualcomm CPU and an HD screen in a one handed device, I don't care if it's missing features like 20,000watt charging IP ratings, 120mhz displays etc etc.. I don't even need nfc, just a good reliable compact phone that may have a few custom ROMs and I'm good At the moment I'm looking at getting a note 8, it's big and it's glass and glossy which I don't like but otherwise it's the only phone that matches my other criteria. I'm just disappointed with the way Android phones are currently going, I hoped we might see more practical budget phones. The pixel 3a is about $800 in my country (New Zealand) literally more expensive than an iPhone in fact I'm almost considering an iPhone, it's about the only compact phone out there that isn't total garbage [link] [comments]  |

When I use my airdots, sometimes the audio fails, which is not the case when using the notebook. I play or watch something on the notebook until the airdots discharge and it doesn't fail. | Need help finding what causes the redmi note 9 to lag Posted: 01 Aug 2020 05:09 PM PDT as you all know the rn9 stutters in most games, but i found that if i open that game booster tab and hit optimize it will clear some ram and not stutter anymore at least on pubg and codm so my question is how do i know what was closed so i can un install it or something i also noticed that while stuttering cpu usage says about 30-35% but after clearing ram it will go up to 40-60% and it will not stutter so maybe the cpu goes to turbo mode ? i really dont know whats going on [link] [comments]  |

So I bought a new phone, redmi 8 note pro, yesterday, and I've been facing a very troublesome issue. I'm not receiving most of the text messages I'm sent. I've tried lots of things: rebooting, factory reset, change messaging service, but none seem to work out. I'm asking here if anyone has a clue on how to solve this situation, as I'm becoming worried that I spent money on something that doesn't work. Sometimes it works just fine, but then it just stops receiving messages. On some occasions, people don't get my SMS either. I'd appreciate any feedback from anyone who had this issue in the past and has hopefully been able to fix it. | Anyone noticed a folder by name joox_for_third in their file manager? Posted: 01 Aug 2020 12:29 PM PDT I found this weird folder in my file manager. By check details, it was created on 17 july. I didn't download any new app for a while. There was no system update as far as I know. I couldn't find anything on google. It had 3 .xml log file. I deleted it for now. I did find this. A thread on MI site regarding the same suspicious folder. But I can't access this which makes it even more suspicious. Also there are two separate thread on reddit. Here and here for more info. They both claimed that is started appearing out of nowhere in Xiaomi and Poco devices. And would be recreated on deletion. Please even if you don't have it, respond here. Thank you. Basically after updating the latest MUI, I've noticed colors were a bit darkened. At first I just thought that it was the app but then I've noticed the same pattern from all apps. Facebook colors were a bit dark and so are other apps. I've tried the color scheme option but doesn't seem to work. Not sure if it was the latest update of MUI either. I really liked corvus os, but you need to downgrade first then proceed with the installation. Is there any other rom that can be flashed without downgrading?
