- My Nokia TA-122 won't charge. I have tried using other chargers, I've verified the outlets and cords work with other devices. But the most that happens a little flash then it says "0% every time I try to turn it on

When Hulu/Netflix begins playing a video, I receive a message stating that Hulu is unable to play video on a display without hdcp....Netflix just runs the encrypted data so its a bunch of "random pixels"(no content). There is no built in Hulu/Netflix application on this display I am mirroring to, so mirroring is my only option. | Phone/USB not working properly on file transfer (PC/OTG) Posted: 01 Aug 2020 05:10 PM PDT Hi, I really need help. three months ago, some weeks after my Xiaomi Mi 9T overheated on sun (don't know if that has some relation to the issue), it suddenly stopped charging while on, unless I rebooted or turned off. Also, it had difficulties to transfer files to PC and connect to a flash drive by OTG. Then, I took it to a guy and he said I needed to replace the charging port, and so I did. But only now, after a serious issue. I was changing my rom from MiRoom (MIUI 12) to Evolution X, since the MiRoom's developer ended the rom's support. But It didn't work, It boots into Fastboot mode. I tried to connect to PC and OTG, on recovery mode, but neither worked. The PC doesn't recognize my phone, and the OTG flash drive isn't recognized by the phone. I bought the charging connector online and paid that guy to replace it. The port feels better, the connector feels way steadier when pluged in, but I can't know if it charges while on and the file transferring to PC or OTG is still not working. So, I'm stuck on recovery mode, in a rom that doesn't boot and a USB port that doesn't work properly. If anyone has a clue of what part I might take to replace or a repair, or maybe a software solution, if that's the case, I would be really thankful. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 01 Aug 2020 08:34 PM PDT For the past day my play store has been crashing whenever I open the app, and to fix this I finally found the "uninstall updates" button, which allows me back onto the app for a short period of time before constantly crashing again. Other than some light bleed from the top screen, and some occasional light burn-in that fades within a minute or two, I've loved this phone. Dropped it god knows how many times, thrown it. Still good. I am not gentle on phones. The last year or so I have noticed that it is starting to slow down significantly. Smooth running turned into minor hiccups turned into everything loading/running slowly or poorly. I tried wiping it with a factory reset. Didn't seem to help at all. I don't want to get a new phone unless I need to. Any tips or advice on how to get my baby running at a better performance level? I don't expect a current flagship experience, I just want everything decently smooth again! I've thought about rooting, but I'm not sure if that would fix my problem. [link] [comments]  |
| Trying to use a ps4 controller on my s7 edge Posted: 01 Aug 2020 04:46 PM PDT I'm using a ps4 contoller over bluetooth (phone is a galaxy s7 edge android 8.0) but many of the inputs are mapped incorrectly. Square and circle both map to X, L2 is triangle etc. The limited research I've done makes it seem like its a problem with android 8.0 and 8.1. Has anyone seen this problem and figured out a solution? And yes I'm positive the controller is fine, I've tested it extensively with my PC and controller tester apps. It also seems like it has something to do with the "type 2" controller scheme that apparently is meant to be used on android devices. | Phone contents/swiping flipped? Posted: 01 Aug 2020 04:06 PM PDT Hey everyone, my mom has a moto z3 and she somehow has her phone now to where all of the contents are in reverse. So instead of her normal swiping right to go to the news on her home screen, she now has to go left. Same with closing apps, she has to swipe the opposite way from her normal swipe in order to close them. Her bar to go up/down on the menus is on the opposite side of the screen as well, like you're looking in a mirror. I've had a look through her display settings but couldn't find a fix, went to accessibility and didn't see anything, and turning it off and on again didn't help. We have verizon, if that matters. What should I do? And yes, I tried restarting my Tablet and turning it on and off. EDIT: I also had my wi-fi on, so don't ask me questions like that. | Keyboard language issue after update - multiple languages auto-suggested while on one language imput Posted: 01 Aug 2020 01:24 PM PDT Samsung Galaxy S9, Android version 10, android security patch level July 1 2020. Using Samsung keyboard. A security update took place this morning. I've been using Duolingo for a couple of years so had English, German, French, and Finnish on my keyboard using the space bar to swipe to swap between the languages and not had any issues. I'd start typing "Ich habe" and the next word would be in German, based on my previous inputs. When I started typing a text in English this morning, the auto-suggestion for the next word was in French, and when pressing the three dots, I would see that words in the other languages were suggested too. Is there a way that if you're typing in English that only English words are auto-suggested? I never had any problems with it before and there is no physical damage. The problem started immediately after the update. I've tried relearning the prints and even assigning every print to the same finger from every angle, but nothing seems to work. It seems to be more of an issue when waking the device than in apps like LastPass where it seems slightly more reliable. I have a Samsung note 10+ and frequently use the Steam link app on it to play games. However I want to use my switch pro controller (or almost any wireless controller at this point) but the input lag is unplayable. Apparently this is a super common thing for Android but surely there has to be a solution by now right? Posted: 01 Aug 2020 02:31 PM PDT i have a samsung s10 with a cracked screen, and now i cannot enter my passcode pattern thing (y'know with the dots) since that part of the screen stopped working. is there a way to get into the phone on my computer so i can set it to have no more passcode? Or i heard I could use a certain cable as a mouse on the phone? if it's a paid service, don't bother, seriously, i don't care if it's one dollar. i'm gonna get it repaired anyways so i can wait, but if there's something free i can do now then please let me know. thanks! | “Ghost Images” or “Burn-in” on an LCD Display? Posted: 01 Aug 2020 08:51 AM PDT So I have a Nokia 8 which according to the manufacturer has an LCD display. I'm running stock Android 9 with the most recent updates. The phone was new when I got it. I have tried to factory reset the device to solve the problem, alas, to no avail. For months now, whenever the screen has been showing certain UIs for a long-ish time (15 minutes+)—i.e. games, chat apps, websites with a lot of text, you name it—the static UI elements would "burn in" and still be visible when I'm back on the home screen or in other apps. I can't take a screenshot of it, as the "burnt-in" part doesn't show up on the screenshot (had to upload the screenshot to my PC to test this). Imagine it like this: I have calendar/schedule widget on my home screen which shows the month and year in bright white letters at the top. If I switch into an app that has a dark part at the top, i.e. ProtonMail, the "August 2020" would still be visible on the dark top area in the app. My understanding was that LCD displays shouldn't be able to suffer from burn-ins like CRTs did and AMOLEDs do. Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:08 AM PDT So my phone started crashing a lot out of nowhere and got weird pink glitches before crashing,it won't start again for a while after shutting down. I uninstalled all unwanted apps but it still kept happening.Now I had a few whatsapp conversations with some strangers i met on reddit,but i am pretty sure I didn't share anything or used any weird links.But the weird part is this: I went to notes and typed"i know you are hacking my phone,and I want you to stop,Now!"(not those exact words) and it stopped.My phone started functioning properly like before but it happened once again before typing this and I am a little concerned cuz I used my password a lot in that time.I don't think i was actually hacked but i need to be precautious. The text below the icon now reads "Open links in aps, without...". Photo Clicking on the icon produces a pop-up message box with a longer version of the same text: "Open links in apps, without installation. By continuing, you agree to the Play Terms of Service. Learn More keeps stopping" with a single "x Close app" button. Photo I've tried rebooting the tablet and clearing the app's data and cache, all to no avail. Can anyone help?
