My galaxy J5 2016 bought in 2017 turned off and doesn't react at all (context down below)

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 07:17 AM PDT

I was on holiday vacation. I planned to go to beach and my phone was pretty much charged (>60%). I came to beach, put the phone in my bag and went to swim. When I came back the phone was turned off. Later when I returned to the room I tried to charge it, but initially its flashlight started blinking for 1 second every 5 seconds and so for about three times. Since then, it hasn't shown any single reaction. My father went to technician to see if it works with different battery (the phone has old-style back) and it still didn't work, even with charger plugged in with new battery. What could be the reason why did my phone just so suddenly die and is there any thing I could do to potentially "revive" it? I'd had problems with chargers if it could mean something, but it was probably due to USB cable wire of the chargers.

PS: I still think only battery is broken, myb I have to try with original Samsung battery compatible with my phone?

S20+: Is screen burn something I should worry about for the navigation bar and etc?

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 06:00 AM PDT

I don't use my phone for extended periods of time instead in multiple bursts. So I'll use it for 10 mins and then turn it off.

I'm worried that the navigation bar might burn in after use.

Galaxy Buds + BTS Edition-Unavailable on Samsung's Website?

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 08:51 AM PDT

Tried to buy the BTS Edition Buds+ earlier, but got a message stating they were unavailable. Were these a limited time item I took too long to grab?

I found them on ebay, though I don't know if they're a scam or not.

Will AT&T have the white Note20 ultra?

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 08:42 AM PDT

Judging by past history, white devices have not been available with AT&T and were only available in international versions. Anyone know if this will be the case again? When do we usually find out what colors carriers will be offering? (In relation to Aug 5 event)

How to fix Google voice (to recognise my voice) on the S10e?

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 03:23 AM PDT

I recently bought the S10e. First, when it came from the factory Bixby and Google voice worked. I then had to do a factory reset (through recommendation from Samsung support) and when it was done it said that the Google voice app is not compatible with this unit.

I then went to clear the cache for the entire until and then, suddenly, Google voice was compatible and it works but it cannot recognize my voice now. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I have tried to disable Bixby (so they wouldn't clash), I have tried re-setting all my Google settings (didn't work).

Does anyone have any idea why it worked when it came from the factory but not anymore and have an idea how to fix this?

Would a 100 Watt charger hurt a Galaxy S10 Lite

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 10:26 PM PDT

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I just got a brand new lite, I see that it charges up to 45W fast. However I already have this 100 Watt charger that I got for free. Would using it hurt the phone in some way? Or does it just charge at the 45 watt. Just dont want to have to buy another charger. Thanks

How is the OG Galaxy fold?

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 08:53 PM PDT

I'm considering buying a used Galaxy Fold in mint condition with a warranty for $850. I'm wondering how they hold up and the durability of them. Am I better off not going with a foldable phone. My phone kicked the bucket and I'm looking for a new one.

Is there a way to get apps to ask for permission before allowing notifications?

    Posted: 29 Jul 2020 10:32 PM PDT

I recently made the switch to Samsung and one thing that bugs me is that the apps I install have notifications on by default meaning I have to manually disable them if it's for a stupid game or something. Is there a way to get apps to ask permission before enabling notifications to prevent this? I have the galaxy A71 btw
