Is there an Alarm App for odd recurring alarms? Posted: 30 Jun 2020 09:10 AM PDT I've been trying to find an app that will let me create an alarm that will repeat for six days every nine days (ex. 111111000111111000). I've contemplated a calendar reminder, but the alarm will be to wake me up and the calendar is too easy to subdue. It takes multiple alarms to get me up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Reminder APP (the same, again) Posted: 30 Jun 2020 11:21 AM PDT I would like to know if there is an app like what I want. My favorite app is Recurrence ( https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.bleyl.recurrence/). The problem I have is that my amazfit watch does not receive notifications from this application (It has not been updated for a long time and has disappeared from the PlayStore). Google Keep: It's chaos, mix reminders with notes. You have to go to the calendar to mark an event as complete (it cannot be done from the application itself). Google Task: when you mark an event as complete and it is repetitive (daily, weekly, etc.) it remains marked as complete but the next one does not appear in the list ... I need a simple app like Recurrence, that is simple. The rest I see have categories, priorities, too "complex" to put the few things I need. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 30 Jun 2020 11:04 AM PDT Dear all, I'd like to grant permanent location permission to an app, which I initially gave permission only when app is running. I don't find a way to change the permission to "always": I just get the choice between deny and grant while app is running. Am I missing something? [link] [comments] |
Is there an app to steam files between android? Posted: 30 Jun 2020 06:33 AM PDT An example would be: I have a movie on Android A and I want Android B to be able to watch it via WiFi. I did this using the built-in settings of two Samsung once. Now I can't seem to find a way to do it again via two different brand. [link] [comments] |

Struggling between Firefox, MS Edge and Chrome Posted: 30 Jun 2020 08:40 AM PDT Hi all So I'm struggling with which browser to pick. I'm looking at each browser mostly because they have a desktop counterpart However my next laptop will be a Chromebook likely, so chrome seems to be leading the charge but no adblocker puts me off a little Firefox is good but it seems to drain battery more Edge is a nice in-between but won't sync with Chromebook Any thoughts? Ideally edge on mobile chrome on desktop but no cross syncing is there? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jun 2020 08:22 AM PDT Looking for a Browser with a bottom Toolbar and fast tab switcher. Brave has both of these but I'm not sold on whether I should use it after the recent scandal. If someone could confirm that it's safe I'm okay with going back to that. Tried FF Preview: doesn't have an accessible Tab switcher (love how on Chromium you can swipe tabs away, easier with larger screens). Also, scrolling has this weird glitching/lagging behaviour, for e.g on Twitter. On Chromium it is smooth. Tried Vivaldi: love it but the grid tabs are really finicky. Have to reach all the way to the top anyway. And its bottom toolbar doesn't have the overflow menu button. Tried Opera: Doesn't support opening links (YouTube, Reddit etc) in external apps for some reason. My current solution is: An older version of Bromite, when Google had not disabled the Chrom Duet/Duplex flag. Works fine but something up to date would be nice. Probably a nitpicky request but does anyone have a solution? Or should I go back to Brave? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 30 Jun 2020 05:53 AM PDT Okay so, lately I've realized that Chrome for Android doesn't have the "close all tabs on exit" feature, which tbh is very annoying. I'm looking for an alternative browser, I've tried kiwi, but didn't really enjoy the feel, it wasn't fluid and I ended up coming back Google Chrome. So is there any other browser, whose ui is fluid, non laggy and has "close all tabs on exit" feature. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jun 2020 05:41 AM PDT Honestly I still feel that I have not seen everything that android has to deliver looking for a hidden gem. I always feel like there is something missing. i think polar is good but monthly payment is not my thing. [link] [comments] |

How to sync folder content between 2 Android devices directly? Posted: 30 Jun 2020 05:35 AM PDT Hi, is it possible to sync a folder between 2 devices? Without using a cloud service? Not only pushing files, but check and sync (in background)? No root. Same WLAN network ok, if necessary. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
