Accidentally set RAM profile to 2000mhz (it's 1866 RAM) and when it turned on it BSODed. I set the settings back but now it's a black screen with a 'loading' cursor after Windows boots. No issues with a different boot drive. Tech Support

Is there a way to either prevent a program from using DirectX or temporarily disable DirectX?

For the last few days I've been trying to get the pc version mega man legends to work. I posted about it to r/RetroWindowsGaming but no one there seems to know how to help me. However I recently decided that I would try to run the game through a glide wrapper because MML supports glide. I know that my computer supports nglide because gex enter the gecko works fine but MML still wants to run through directx.

Hi i need some teachings for overclocking my memory

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 10:31 AM PDT

Hi everyone, so newegg and asrock lied about my motherboard in their mobo descriptions and put incorrect memory ratings that its able to run, and now i have to overclock my memory. I have 2 tridentZ RGB-3200MHz with a cas latency of 16-18-18-38 with a voltage of 3.5V. Ive already changed the voltage to the right setting and changed to the correct speeds but i have no clue how to set the memory timings, so i could really need some help right about now.

    Unmetered wifi hotspot

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 06:31 AM PDT

When i turn on Hotspot using my Samsung s10+ device that connect to it automatically detect it as a metered connection (windows laptops and other android devices) iPhones don't do it.

The issue is my other devices don't do auto updates when it connects then i need to go back into settings to adjust it. Is there an app or setting that i can change to make the Hotspot default other devices to unmetered rather than low data mode?

Accidentally set RAM to 2000mhz instead of 1866, and got an error screen. I turned it back on and changed it back in BIOS, but now this is what I get after the Windows loading wheel

My new headset sounds like my ears are full of water...

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 08:59 PM PDT

So I got a new Logitech G935 today and the surround sound is great but the sound is like my ears are full of water

I have tried a lot of things from resetting my PC multiple times to uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers

SO yeah I ask you all for help

Other thing I will mention is the balance button is missing in the levels tab in speakers properties

If i switch back to my old G633 that is falling apart everything is normal and the balance button is still there and all the settings are as close to the same as i can get them so yeah.

I forgot my laptops password and want to reset it

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 04:45 PM PDT

This is in Windows 10. I've been trying for the past hour or so to remember/reset my local password but everything I've hasn't worked. I have am able to get into the account through PIN and fingerprint but that doesn't help me with the password at all. I apparently don't have any security questions either and when I click reset password at the sign in screen it says I need a flash drive or something.

GL65 9SE Thermal Paste Replacement Help

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 05:12 PM PDT

    Hi guys,

GL65 9SE, i7 9750H, RTX2060 here. I am struggling to lift part [green] of the heat sink in order to replace the thermal paste. Usually there's paste only on the parts i highlighted in red but there seems to be a white paste (viscous thermal pads??)instead of regular heat pads on the parts highlighted in blue. A similar model (youtube) does not have this kind of paste. The problem is that I cannot lift it up. It seems like it's stuck even tho' the white paste is not hard. Any tips?
