    We've Come a Long Way!

One of the reasons why I’m salty about the ‘2 years of major updates’ is because it tanks the resale value of the device which makes me upgrade more often than I should

    Posted: 05 May 2020 12:28 AM PDT

I'd love to keep my phone for quite a bit of time, maybe 4-5 years but when it's time to sell it on eBay or other sites, I see it's basically worthless at that point, in comparison to my sisters iPhone 8 Plus, she brought it used 2 years ago for £540 and now worth around £350. The S9+ which came few months after the 8 is worth around £250 unlocked. The 8 plus has chunky bezels and looks old, the S9 looks futuristic and innovative when looking at the design, stereo speakers, heart rate sensors, its extremely feature packed, yet its worth less than the iPhone 8 Plus, that's pretty much why I'm salty.

    Phone wont send texts

    Posted: 05 May 2020 06:09 AM PDT

Alright, so I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 and recently it has started having an issue that is rather infuriating. Anytime I go to send a text it instantly says "Message couldn't be sent" and it does it right after I hit send like it doesn't even try to send it. I can still receive texts from people and my cellular data still works fine, but how can I possibly fix this issue?!

Moonlit Sky - Using Night Mode On My S20 Ultra

Just updated my Note 9 and I regret it.

    Posted: 05 May 2020 07:40 AM PDT

So, I got annoyed at the little update notification that constantly showed up and I decided to update it so that it would finally dissappear. Now my battery life is shorter and it's really bugging me.

The update in question is the n960nksu3dtc4 and the phone is the South Korean version.

Do you know where I can download the previous version of Android 10 that was available for the Note 9? Also, how do I install it if I can find it?

    Regular S20 back camera glass

    Posted: 05 May 2020 07:13 AM PDT

Hello everyone. I recently became a proud owner of the samsung galaxy s20! One of it's key features, the camera, is what I love most about it. Of course I bought it with a back cover, but it doesn't seem to be very thick, which makes the wider camera part on surface level with the back side of the case. I was wondering if this would mean a risk of scratching the camera glass while it sits in my jeans pocket. I tried looking it up, but the breaking of the glass seems to be a common problem among s20 ultras. Do you guys think i could end up having a blurry camera just by putting the phone in my pocket? Thanks!

Turn OFF night shot on Note 10+

    Posted: 05 May 2020 02:08 AM PDT

Beautiful moonlight on the water. I put the camera in Pro mode, got the settings just right and... it takes a night shot, so it looks like daylight.

This is not at all what I want. I'm trying to get a good shot of the moonlight on the water.

I didn't select night mode, but it keeps taking these long exposure night shots, turning everything bright.

I didn't choose this; I don't have Scene Optimizer on (Not available in Pro, but I went to normal and disable it, and same in settings.) No Bixby.

Exposure and f-stop set right. It's an actual night shot, that tells you to hold the camera steady while it takes a 15 second shot.

Why does it keep doing this?

    So. Frustrating.

Are the galaxy buds plus worth $85?

    Posted: 05 May 2020 07:00 AM PDT

Right now I've only had Chinese truly wireless earbhds like the meizu pop, havit g1 and my favorite until i broke it, the mifo o5.

There's a store in my country that sells it for $85 usd including taxes and shipping. But the buds plus dont have aptx and anc Although there are Chinese wireless earbuds with anc in the same price range. And aptx is very common even in $50 earbuds

My question is are they worth it? How's the sound quality? Is not having aptx a deal breaker? Do these feature fast charge?

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 15 review: Amazing battery life!

Gaming footage of Snapdragon S20+ to show real flagship power. The fps is literally a solid straight line.

Should I upgrade to a Galaxy Note 20 when it comes out?

    Posted: 05 May 2020 01:49 AM PDT

I've read reviews but I'm looking for people who have owned both or own the Note to give some advice here. I've always had the Samsung Galaxy flagship phones. Currently I have a Galaxy s9+. It's a really good phone but the battery is starting to show it's age, frankly. I could wait until the next flagship comes out next year but I've been looking into the Galaxy Note series lately and I'm wondering if it's a good option for me. Here are a few areas of concern for me:

-I watch videos on my phone all the time. -I'm concerned about durability. I've found my flagship phones to be pretty durable with a case of course. I don't know if the Note can take the hard use and abuse that I give to the s9+. -I'm not sure what I can do with the S pen or if it's that big of a deal. -There's a rumour going around that Samsung isn't going with the Snapdragon in the new Note series because of Covid-19. Is that a big deal?

Any help or advice in this decision would be appreciated. Thank you.

    A question

    Posted: 05 May 2020 04:29 AM PDT

So I'm thinking of buying Galaxy Buds+ and I've seen a lof of posts in this subreddit that either on of the buds aren't charging or the left/right one is more quiet the the other. Does anyone here has been using their buds/buds+ without any problem since the day you bought?

Need to replace my phone as it is doing some very funky stuff. Looking for suggestions

    Posted: 05 May 2020 08:06 AM PDT

As the title says, I need to replace my S10 as it is super glitchy. I use my phone all day for work which consists of taking 100's of pictures in an app. I am also looking to do some Youtube videos and slow motion stuff with my kids as well.

The most important things to me would be:

    1. Battery life
    2. Camera clarity- sharp focus on close up photos
    3. Great video quality and editing capabilities
    4. slow motion video capabilities

Thank you for your suggestions, I have used Samsung products for years but I don't really geekout over specs and new products. Normally, I would go to the store and look at my options and decide, but with the whole pandemic thing I figured, where better to ask then a sub full of Samsung enthusiasts.

    Cheers!
