Why is there no perfect android premium smartphone? Posted: 01 May 2020 03:56 AM PDT And with perfect, I mean not any issues. First it was samsung this year with the Exynos 990 in most regions, then huawei with no google play services. Now it's OnePlus with faukty displays on the 8 Pro and samsung again with the glass lens cracking. Is it so hard to build a smartphone without any compromise? You're paying 800+ dollars which is A LOT and you still have issues. This is unacceptable. (I do understand that it isn't huawei's fault that it doesn't have google services, it's just another thing you have to keep in mind that's missing when shopping for a new huawei phone.) 1 year Anny for my 7pro best phone I've ever bought bar none Posted: 01 May 2020 07:19 AM PDT Screen still looks amazing, no flaws. Keeping this baby for at least 2 more years. Still blazing fast. I forced 90hz at launch and my battery is still very strong. Also that super fast charge still blows my mind. Most flawless smartphone ever made. My first 1+ and I couldn't be happier [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 May 2020 03:12 PM PDT I'm a week in on the OP 8 Pro and just getting more pissed off by the day by one specific cosmetic 'feature' the curved screen. I just keep accidentally edge touching while holding during everyday use. This skips videos, screws browsing and just generally pisses me off having to make a conscious effort to have a buffer between my hand and the edge of the phone. Who asked for this?! Who actually buys a phone for curved edges OnePlus? Just go flat. [link] [comments]
The Ambient Display on OnePlus is better than any Always On Display alternative Posted: 01 May 2020 11:41 AM PDT The Ambient Display turns on with either a tap or when lifting your phone. How many people out there would just sit there and stare at an always on display? I feel like the Ambient Display is a great option both for use and battery life. [link] [comments]

Is this an example of the 8 Pro's screen issue? Posted: 01 May 2020 06:51 PM PDT Hi, so until now I hadn't noticed any 'issues' with my 8 pro's screen. That was until I opened Spotify on the lowest brightness: what I think is supposed to be a greyish background was visibly a shade of dark purple. I took a screen screenshot of this then sent it to my Galaxy S9+ for comparison, here are the results: Is this what others have been complaining about, and do you think it's worth returning the device because of this? Posted: 01 May 2020 06:26 PM PDT I got my 8 Pro today and it's great so far. I do have a couple of complaints/questions though. On other gesture enabled Android phones I've used, the back gesture is only enabled for the bottom half of the screen. So you can use the top half to swipe and open app menus. This isn't the case on this phone. I can't find an option for this anywhere. Anyone know how to change this? The other complaint is the complete lack of launcher options. Even very basic stuff on the LG default launcher is nonexistent on this launcher. I'm gonna have to use a 3rd party launcher I think. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 May 2020 01:48 AM PDT I'm planning to buy the OnePlus 8 pro or 8 and I need to know if these issues are solved and if there are other issues that I don't know about. Thank you in advance and stay safe. [link] [comments]
One plus 7t : Never had a phone that was this buggy Posted: 01 May 2020 02:11 PM PDT I came from a google pixel 3. It started with the nexus 6p so its been a while. Ive been through my share of. Buggy phones but its 2020 and none like oneplus. This one plus 7T is soooo buggy. Displays get wacky and freezes or transitions to a different screen without touching. The phone doesnt come off do not disturb mode when its suppose to. It rings but my message notifications dont pop up.The screen freezes mid way through typing I have to swipe up to pretend to close the and come back to the screen to get touch input again. I thought this phone was a bargain considering all the hardware specs but its not worth the headaches. Everything was fine at first and then updates started happening. One thing got fixed but another thing got messed up. I know every phone has its bug. I am an app developer so I understand it. What I dont get is the type of bugs this phone has. They mess with the user experience. Let me know if you have any wild bugs on your 7t because I am sure , I cannot be alone in this. Unless I got a messed up unit but I doubt that. OnePlus its a no for me dawg. Going back to my pixel. I really wanted to love this phone. [link] [comments]

OnePlus 8 Users: How has the phone been so far? Posted: 01 May 2020 03:16 PM PDT My iPhone 6 has been dying lately so I thought I'd finally upgrade and get a OnePlus 8. Any issues with the phone? Is the OnePlus 8 worth it or should I get another phone around the same price point? The 7T is out of stock in Canada or else I would have probably gotten that instead. [link] [comments]

OnePlus 5 crDroid weekly vs nightly vs monthly, etc Posted: 01 May 2020 03:22 PM PDT I'm running the last, stable, build of crDroid 5.1.1 (based on android 9.0) and really like it and have been keeping an eye on the development of version 6.5(based on android 10.0) for it on their website to hopefully update to it eventually. I noticed it recently has gone from being a nightly build to a weekly build and I understand that it's in reference to how often updates are being released, but I'm wondering if that makes a very big difference in stability. I use my OnePlus 5 as a daily driver and so therefore I want my ROM to be pretty stable with no big things broken, so I didn't want to put it on the nightly. Would you say the weekly is good enough or should I wait until it goes to monthly? How are other people's experiences with running crDroid nightlys, weeklys, and monthlys? [link] [comments]
OnePlus 8 Pro screen already burned in Posted: 01 May 2020 12:09 PM PDT I have this phone for two days now and screen is already burned in. I've used the 5% grey image form this sub. I've switched from 2 year old s9 and there's no sign of burn in to this date. How common is this issue on Op 8 Pro? [link] [comments] |
