Finally release my first version of the app. For the problems I faced while reading books.

    Posted: 07 May 2020 05:09 AM PDT

I read a lot! The problem that would make me nuts would be to take notes of something that I just read and find it worth keeping for future!.Before I used to write it down on notes app and forget about it! So I created an app that let's you scan the page and gets text from it (less writing) and can notify you daily! All at the same place. Link: Writtenly I would love to know what you guys think. The app is currently only on android.

[DEV] In search of the ULTIMATE Reddit app?

    Posted: 07 May 2020 12:07 PM PDT

Hey I'm working on making a Reddit app for mobile.

Fill out this survey to help me learn more about how you use Reddit to help make the Reddit of our dreams :)

    https://forms.gle/1w2FhJJwmWsh9oZj8

Also, which Reddit app do you use? and why?

I tend to use Reddit is Fun. It's not the prettiest, but I like it's no nonsense approach, being able to see the points of a post easily, and compact layout.

First beta of our sport app Qoach

    Posted: 07 May 2020 06:36 AM PDT

After some weeks of confinement in France, me and my team at Monoqle (we are 3) are almost ready to release the first version of our new app: Qoach

The app aims to help people doing sport everyday. For now, we only have one program (7 Minutes Workout), but we will add new ones in the near future.

I already had feedback from my friends and colleagues, and I would love to have more to fix or update some features of the app before making it public on the Play Store.

Link to the beta of Qoach

Feel free to share the Beta link with your friends and family too!

    Many thanks!

    [DEV] WhatsApp Sticker Maker App

    Posted: 07 May 2020 10:52 AM PDT

    Hi,

I have made a custom sticker app to make it easy to create and add custom stickers to WhatsApp. You can also use it as a Meme maker.

    Download on Google Play

Why this? It's a fully featured app with option to cut images with freehand or shapes, add multiple text styles, add emoji's, add outline and play with colors. Basically, many customization options available.

Hope you like it and looking forward for your feedback.

NOTE: This app is free and does not contain any ads(except me cross-promoting my other app which I have disabled at the moment) or in-app purchases at this moment. If I plan to add them later, I will make sure everyone here gets a FREE PROMO-CODE.

Why do some apps need to be moved to SD again, every time they're updated?

    Posted: 06 May 2020 07:42 PM PDT

While others stay on SD even when updated?

Is this a flaw in the code or something or just an annoying choice by the developers?

Sure each one doesn't take long to move but I have to do this daily and it gets old.

Looking for another app to solve a foregetful dilemma.

    Posted: 07 May 2020 10:13 AM PDT

At work I have to turn the sound off. Sometimes I foreget to do so. Other times I foreget to turn it back on after I leave work.

Is there an app where i can tell it to mute my phone (turn off sound) at a certain time and unmute (turn sound on) it at a certain time?

Do any well made apps exist which allow you to control a mouse pointer on your Android TV from your phone?

    Posted: 07 May 2020 07:44 AM PDT

Preferably with a keyboard built-in but not essential. I've tried a couple of Bluetooth apps and one or two local network ones but none of these really did the job smoothly or reliably. Google has a decent remote app themselves, but it is a lacking mouse pointer option.

Looking for a weather app that displays all temps as "feels like"

    Posted: 07 May 2020 12:13 PM PDT

I'm aware that there are apps that display what it feels like, but it only displays that in a section for that as opposed to replacing all places displaying temperatures with the "feels like" temperature. The last weather app that I used that had this feature was Weather Timeline (RIP)

Pulse sms app randomly shows a dot next to a new message, and sometimes no new message at all, am I missing a setting?

    Posted: 07 May 2020 11:56 AM PDT

I used to use Textra and really loved the delayed sending text option as well as the scheduled text option, but there wasn't a dependable browser based texting option, like Android Messages and Pulse offer, so I switched to Messages but then lost the ability to schedule and delay texts, so im now on Pulse and while I love that everything is there (delay, scheduling, and browser texting), I can't tell half of the time which message is a new message.

Often I'll hear or see a notification of a text in the notification bar at the top of my phone. Sure, if i pull down the shade and reply from there i can see who sent what. But i dont always do that, im realizing, and when i open the app, one of three things happen:

    1. The app scrolls just slightly down, so the top one or two messages arent viewable, and I am puzzled for a second, realizing i need to scroll back up. wtf
    2. Nothing appears to have changed, yet I clearly have received a message, so i open the top two messages to figure out which is new
    3. An obvious DOT is next to a message indicating it is indeed a new message. Not totally ideal, but it works (but it doesn't always appear)

Is there a setting im missing or something? or is this the design? If this is the way a paid app is, then im moving back to Messages. This is more annoying than not being able to schedule or delay a message. thanks for any help!

    Good free alternatives to CamScanner?

    Posted: 07 May 2020 09:18 AM PDT

With the whole pandemic and everything all of my classes are online, yet still we are expected to write down notes and assignments and send them to our teachers on Google classroom or the like.

I have been using CamScanner till now to convert all my documents to pdf and the "magic colour" option really helps to brighten up the notes for more pleasant usage.

However the fact that so many features are locked behind a pay wall and the constant water marks are becoming quite annoying, are there any other free alternatives?
