    Or at least a toggle.

    Seriously, it's 2020, 5 actions each time.

    Google doesn't open anymore

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 05:17 PM PST

I don't know why, every time i open google by holding the home button, or by opening it through the icon normally, it just pops up and instantly closes.

I've restarted my phone, cleared the cache, turned it off, restarted and turned on after that.

Nothing works, it's been like this for like a week now, does anyone else have the same issue? Internet doesn't provide any answers.

    Phone is Oneplus 5

    3T Battery Life Fixed Itself

    Posted: 29 Feb 2020 11:08 PM PST

About a month ago, my battery life dropped to about 25%. Literally overnight. I used to charge every other day. Suddenly one morning at work, my phone beeped that it was at 15%. It was like 65% the night before, which is always enough to get me through one more day. Battery usage graph suddenly took a steep nosedive.

Figured the battery was dying, but have been dealing with it for about a month while I figure out my options. Charge in the morning, barely get through the work day. Charge after work, and it's almost dead in the morning. Went from charging every other day to charging twice a day.

Now, suddenly, it's back to normal. A day ago, I charged it up in the morning, checked it before I went to bed and it was still at 85%. WTF? Next morning, only down to about 79%. Made it through today without charging, and it's only down to 58% tonight.

Oxygen 9.0.6. It's a 3T, so it's not getting OS updates, anymore. Some Google system app killing the battery that I can't keep track of? Wish we had more insight and control over what's going on with our phones.

Jerky and Laggy Screen Since Update

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 12:49 PM PST

Since the new update, my 6t has been jerky recently. However, when I restart my phone it fixes itself temporarily. Does anyone know how to permanently stop it lagging/jerking?

I have a OP7 and was previously using a MiA2 Usb c to 3.5 mm adapter so that my wired headphones could work with the phone, but I lost it. I want to know does any adapter works with the device or should I only use the official adapter.?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 10:28 AM PST

    Also,

Why the fuck OP did not include one with the device, another money grabbing scheme. :/

How has your experience been with the Sony WF-1000XM3?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 03:46 PM PST

    Hey guys,

I've been a OnePlus 7 pro user for the past 4 months, I've been really enjoying this phone and I'm looking to upgrade from my Airdots.

So I've had my eye on these for a while, I wanted to see if anyone has experience with these. If not, I would appreciate some recommendations.

    Thanks!

My 7t keeps turning up the media volume by itself

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 11:52 AM PST

I have no idea how it is doing this, I always keep the volume off. Lately it has been setting itself to full volume without any input from me. Just started doing this about a month or two ago, never had this issue before. Anyone else experiencing this?

7T alarm vibration sounds like a woodpecker

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 02:18 PM PST

And I cannot recreate it in any other way. None of ringtone vibration modes sound like this. If I mute the alarm volume and then set it it will sound like any normal vibration but as it is normally, it sounds like if someone was knocking on my night stand.

That sounds so cool and it's very intriguing. At first I though it's a part of the default alarm ringtone but if I pick up the phone, the knocking stops and I can feel it's the haptic motor.

    Notch vs no notch?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 05:52 PM PST

Just noticed that my 7t has the option to hide the notch, making it black and a full bezel, and I think I might like it more, even though the screen gets a little shorter, it's less cramped and more uniform.

And with the amoled screen it's like it's an actual bezel.

So notch or no notch, what do you think is better?

Price on fixing the outer metal frame

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 01:22 PM PST

Sooooo as dumb as I am, my OnePlus 7t pro fell out of my pocket while biking last night. Resulting in both front and back is rather demolished, also noticed the metal frame being dent. I am curious to what the metal part would cost since nothing is really stated on their website. A new glasspanel wouldn't fit in the back as of right now, due to the frame. All in all a terrible day, the back leaves me with glassshards in my fingers if brush my hands over it.

Is there any way of taking 48 mpx Raw pictures on Oneplus 7T?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 03:47 AM PST

The stock photo app only supports 12 mpx raw which is really a shame because the sensor is cabable of more sharper pics. any app where 48 mp raw is supported?

edit: It seems like oneplus doesnt allow 3rd party apps to get raw information anything higher than 12mp Now this is bad news, it seems that if we want to use 48mp camera WE NEED TO USE THE STOCK APP, which transports 12mp photo to the 3rd party app without any chance of getting 48 mp shots.. lets hope oneplus changes this. edit2: as there seems no apparent way of doing this plz contact Oneplus in the oneplus community app-> Forums tab -> + -> Feedback. Lets make this happen! Never Settle.

Month old OnePlus 7 Pro 5G - battery suddenly horrible?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 09:58 AM PST

Hey all, got my 7 Pro 5G last month and was blown away by how well the battery was. It lasted me a full 2 days before needing a charge. As of about a week ago (maybe a little less) the battery has started to drain pretty rapidly, normally when I get home from work I'd still have 50-60% left, now I'm getting home with 10-20%. Any guesses as to what's wrong? My usage hasn't really changed much

Starting yesterday first text fails and resend gets delivered. Probably just TMO, but thought I'd ask if anyone else is having the same issues.

    Thanks in advance!

What Do You Guys Use For Headphones? One Plus 7T

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 08:00 AM PST

I just ordered a One Plus 7T. When I listen to music at work or when I talk on the phone, I like to use headphones with mic. I just discovered that the 7T does not come with a headphone jack. What do you guys use for options? Do the headphones that you can get right from the One Plus store plug directly into the phone or do I need some sort of adapter?

Battery Drain in deep sleep always 2-5% per hour. WIFI related

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 03:04 PM PST

Phone is OnePlus 7 Pro, unlocked, bought directly from OnePlus site.

I've been googling this issue for 2 months now. The battery drain while the phone is asleep is outrageous from day 1 of owning it. Most nights Accubattery shows a loss of 2 to 5% per hour while screen is off, and usually like 93% of the screen off time is in deep sleep. The drain should be 0.5% at most.

I confirmed that battery saving mode cures the issue. I have now confirmed that simply turning off wifi cures the issue. I'm practically certain that Wifi is the cause. BUT WHY?

I have tried flashing the NoLimits xXx Magisk mod, and have tried other custom ROMs and this issue persists. I have even completely reflashed back to stock using the unbrick procedure with the MSMDownloadTool.exe. We can rule out all possible custom tweaks. This phone is stock and it's doing this.

I've tried a variety of settings people have mentioned like turning off printer service, and a couple settings in Dev Options like App Wifi Multi Broadcast Filter. I've enabled the same filter on my router. No luck.

My router is a Linksys EA7300. What can I do besides replace my router? Its a powerful router but is very locked down, settings wise, with no custom firmwares like WRT. I'm pretty much stuck with it. It has no advanced options to dig through...

P.S I stay at home mostly and only been out barely for an hour only.

Is there any reason to root?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 10:22 AM PST

I need to reset my phone due to a couple of bugs from going to A10. What reasons are there to unlock the bootloader while I am doing this process?

I used to root and install ROMs on my phone's all the time but haven't for about 3 years and am a bit out of the loop now.

Is it even worth it nowadays? Are there any major downsides?

7T - Near perfect but an aggressive background app issue holds it back. Any advice?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 09:22 AM PST

I've had my 7T for about a week now. Its such a dang good phone. I love it. But I've one issue I'm looking for help with.

Apps that I expect to do things in the background don't work.

Example 1: Spottily is set to auto play when the bluetooth connects. On my Samsung as long as the app was in the background I didn't even have to unlock the phone. On the 7T I have to wake up the phone and bring the app into the foreground before it will start playing.

Example 2: I have an app that will let me download from instagram, it sits in the background and intercepts clip board links. Works great on my samsung but on this phone I have to switch to the app before it will do its thing.

Its as if its heavily throttling apps in the background and I've found now way to change that. Any advice?

Gold to the person who helps me solve it.
