Do the rules for this subreddit not matter? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 02:32 AM PST Rule #2 clearly states to search for answers before posting. And yet I see 100 posts (possibly an exaggeration) on this subreddit a day asking if the 7t is better than the 7 pro. I love this group but it's spamming my feed with the same question over and over again and it seems like nothing is being done about it. [link] [comments] |
Problems opening google app on 6t Posted: 29 Feb 2020 06:05 PM PST I'm not sure if this is a 6t specific problem but this happened suddenly and it's quite inconvenient for me. When I try to open the google app, it'll flash open then immediately close. I've gotten it to reopen by clearing cache and storage but I have to do this every day for the app to open. Also I've just noticed the "ok google" doesn't launch the assistant anymore either which is weird as it worked fine before. I'm still on the last Android 9 patch as Android 10 seems like a risky upgrade for me and I've updated all my apps. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
Lock screen wallpaper is worse than the home screen wallpaper Posted: 29 Feb 2020 02:42 PM PST I cant send a video in this sup but you get my point any way They are the same picture that i installed yet the lock screen have different look . How to fix that? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Feb 2020 09:58 PM PST I don't think it's to suck on Samsung's toes. I think phone makers are being discretely "asked" not to do popup cameras because DuoYin can't discretely access them in the background. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Feb 2020 06:50 PM PST Hello all! I just recently started having this problem, not sure if its caused by a new update or not, still investigating. Every once in a while (haven't found a pattern yet) my OP7P prevents me from doing Google searches. When I say prevent, I can type into the text box and send the request, but when it actually finishes 'searching' aka gets the response, nothing is displayed except a white blank box for the results. I can still switch tabs (images, maps, all etc) but it doesn't actually display results. Also, I slide up on my touch screen (my Google Now cards shortcut) and it displays the Google Now cards fine. If I follow a Google Now card, I am greeted with a violently flashing screen of white and black This is only on the actual page, not in the browser bar, that space is untouched. When I say violently flashing, I mean flashing to the point of -- uncomfortable immediately. This is from someone without any adverse effects to flashing colors. I have also tried going to any link with the Chrome browser and I'm greeted with the same flashing screen. I haven't tried Google Fit, Home, or any other Google related application but the only malfunctioning applications seem to be with Google. I haven't done much troubleshooting due to it just starting. I assume this is a unique problem but I thought it was worth a shot. One of the times I wish they included screen recording in Android 10 :( Anyone experience this? [link] [comments] |

One Plus 5T sudden Google app/search widget problem Posted: 29 Feb 2020 05:17 AM PST I have the one plus 5T and since yesterday have been having a weird issue with my Google app, it is also affecting the Google search widget. If I click on the app icon or the Google icon within the Google search widget it momentarily flickers to suggest the app is opening but it fails to do it. I have tried force closing, clearing the cache etc but the issue still remains, my phone is still on version 9.0.10 and as far as I know there has been no updates to the Google app. Strange one, does anyone hear have any suggestions to solving this minor but annoying issue? I'm in the UK if that makes any difference. Thanks, [link] [comments] |
7T Pro McLaren started overheating. Posted: 29 Feb 2020 01:18 PM PST So I was NOT gaming. Not video. Not running multiple apps. Nice cool day. And all of a sudden I get a pop-up that the phone is about to shut some stuff down, warning me to turn some things off or it would. I took it out of the case and it was uncomfortably hot to the touch, especially on the metal edges. I immediately tuned it off and set it on a cool leather seat to hopefully absorb the heat, flipping it so both sides could. After 5 min or so, I booted it back up and have had no problems since. Any idea what may have caused it? Otherwise, the phone has been close to perfect for me. [link] [comments] |
Trying to figure out if this is a known issue or not. Posted: 29 Feb 2020 03:10 PM PST I'm using the Oneplus7T and it is up to date with the latest patches and so on. I've owned the phone for around three months and I've mostly had a positive experience. No real issues beyond the few here. I've been experiencing a couple of odd technical bugs. They don't seem to be hardware related but I'm not a hardware guy so I genuinely don't know. It seems more like the system ignores user settings from time to time and just decides to act on its own accord. Examples:
I'm curious if this is unique to me or if other users have noticed similar system glitches? It's also possible some sort of a gesture setting is activated that I'm unaware of which might be responsible for screen issue. That being said, I don't experience this anywhere else. Just curious what anyone else has noticed. [link] [comments] |
How to make phone model appear by username Posted: 29 Feb 2020 08:42 AM PST Sorry if this is an obvious question... I'm new to reddit and this group and I keep seeing people with "7 Pro" or "7T" by their username. I have a 7 Pro and I would like it as well but I can't figure out how [link] [comments] |

OnePlus Switch not working? What am I doing wrong? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 01:35 PM PST Just got a OnePlus 7T and trying to migrate from the old LG G7. Did the initial setup ok, got google accts and apps reinstalled via the setup. The got the Switch app to get the rest of things (like the SD Card data), Fitted it up on both phones, went thru the old phone/new pone process.. it connected, said 36gb to transfer, would take about 25 minutes.. and.... 2 hours later.. the receiving phone says 0.00B transferred.0.851 items transferred, sending still says 25 minutes,0.851 transferred... so they are at least connected but... noting being transferred... suggestions? Can your phone forget your lockscreen pin? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 04:52 AM PST Is there ANY possibility of that ever happening? Cuz now I'm not too sure if I actually changed the pin that day. I've tried 250+ possible pins so far. I also have a slight hunch that I actually set it to a pattern but now I'm only getting an option to enter a 4-digit pin. Has this ever happened to any of you guys? P.S : This post is a continuation to this one. [link] [comments] |
6t getting a lot slower internet speeds. Posted: 29 Feb 2020 06:13 AM PST Moved up to os 10 a month ago and noticed that while speed test and network is fine. The actual browsing experience seems a lot slower than it was before? Anyone else? [link] [comments] |
Here's a solid workaround for a possible bug in Oneplus devices for direct dial shortcuts Posted: 29 Feb 2020 12:01 PM PST There may be some apps which many users may be using to implement the direct dial functionality as a shortcut via a third party app. Because of a possible bug in Oneplus, they do not seem to work. So, technically, if you try to assign a direct dial shortcut to work, it just does not work. Hence, a simple workaround for this is to install the Google Contacts app and then, when trying to set the direct dial functionality via that third-party app, select the direct dial from the Google Contacts and not the default Oneplus Contacts. This will work 100%. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Feb 2020 07:57 AM PST Since I did update 10.3.1 the other day, for some reason it popped up late, and didn't auto update. Notifications when I turn on my phone are now really slow. And apps on Google play store don't auto update unless I open play store and open my apps. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Feb 2020 05:16 AM PST OnePlus 5, suddenly my Google app won't launch. I've restarted the phone twice and closed all apps. Chrome works fine, holding my home button to use the assistant works fine, but I can't open the Google app at all. Thoughts? [link] [comments] |
What's the easiest way to transfer all my data from Samsung S7 to OnePlus 7t? Posted: 29 Feb 2020 10:50 AM PST I'm thinking about getting a OnePlus7t but I'd like to keep most of my app data (chats) from current phone, AND wifi passwords which is really important. Now i can backup everything from S7 using SmartSwitch but how do i go about transferring all that to a new OnePlus 7t? Appreciate any tips. [link] [comments] |
Factory screenprotector OnePlus 7T Pro Posted: 29 Feb 2020 07:02 AM PST Hey guys, Is there any place where you can get a factory OnePlus 7T Pro screenprotector? I really like it but had many OnePlus phones before and I always tried other protectors, but none fitted and felt like the factory one. Maybe it's possible in a store in the Netherlands? Thanks in advance :) [link] [comments] |
