I built a wallpaper app that takes images from Reddit (+ free promo codes) Posted: 28 Feb 2020 03:03 AM PST Hi, I built a wallpaper app that takes images from Reddit. Have a look: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=at.ladt.redditwallpapers As many wallpapers apps are either unnecessary complicated, ugly or not working, I built my own. Here are some features and goals of my app:
I already posted this a few months back and got a bunch of great feedback and suggestions. So I wanted to try it again after I released a new update yesterday. I would love to hear from you!
Edit 2: Seems like all of them are gone. Thank you for the great feedback I got so far. If you have some additional suggestions, feel free to leave it below - I'll still read it! If you were unable to get a code, consider buying it to support me - it would really help me out! :) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qVaeInf8rocBCHvDB5I1LRl1E3jtBzbv1kNMHIle0ks/edit?usp=sharing Please tell me in the comments below which code you used, so I can mark them as used. Anyone know a daily checklist app that will do the following? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 10:41 AM PST Hello, I'm trying to find an app that has a checklist of things I want to do every day. I want it to have a widget with the checklist that I can just check off on the home screen. If possible, I'd like it to keep track of which days I did the specific tasks on the list and which days I didn't. I'm currently using Tasks and it does everything I want except keeping track of the days I do my tasks. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Feb 2020 10:27 AM PST Due to having a hectic job and often needing to remember too many things, I am looking for a good reminder app. Currently using Tick Tick, which is honestly pretty good but has no way to remind me of the item in advance by default. If I want to get reminder 30min or 1h before the event, I have to go back into it after creating it and tell the app I want a reminder early. Are there any apps that allow for an advance warning by default, while having a good interface? [link] [comments] |
Which apps do you think needs a redesign ? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 08:37 AM PST |
Posted: 28 Feb 2020 01:23 AM PST I am looking for a camera app, which will take a photo and save it in a different folder. These photos taken should automatically be deleted after a month (or after any time I set). Does any such app exist? I don't want to use my default camera app because I have to delete such photos later manually which I don't need. Example: I have a restaurant bill which I need to memorize for a while until I calculate the bill split later. If I take a photo of it by default camera then I have to delete it later. I don't want this random photo to be along with other photos of important memories and being backed up and staying with me for years. With this app I can take a photo, look at it later or forget it completely, there will be no problem. This is not only for bill splits, but can be for anything. [link] [comments] |
Google Play Store offered 25,647 new malicious apps in 2019 Posted: 27 Feb 2020 10:27 PM PST 9Game.com, a portal for downloading free Android games, was identified as the mobile app store hosting the most malicious apps in 2019. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Feb 2020 08:29 AM PST I understand how odd the question is, but would like to keep the functionalities of Gboard. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Feb 2020 02:27 PM PST Hello Everyone! 😊 I'm kind of glad to be able to talk with you all again. How've you been this beginning of 2020? My resolutions aren't doing too great lol (gained at least 10 pounds). How are yours? I know I missed Christmas, New Year, and even Chinese New Year... but let's just make up a new holiday for the sake of it - let's call it the 2020 Leap Year! Swipe will be 50% off for now til the end of the weekend on Monday. Obligatory links After a soft launch over at r/swipeforfacebook of Swipe 8.2, I'm excited to be able to share with you all again the latest developments with Swipe - and the new hacky, hacky workarounds I've been able to do to bring functions from the official Facebook app not available in the official mobile site into Swipe. This time around, it's HD Videos and the ability to stream Live Videos - yes LIVE Videos! These were previously unavailable in Facebook alternative apps unless you were using the official app, but I'm so happy to be the first to bring these out to you all! It works so easily too, just click on a video, and there should be a toggle to switch videos between SD and HD. Live videos work equally easy. Click on any one of them and they play just as any normal video would. It's that simple - just try the app, see any video or live video and you'll see. I'm ashamed there isn't a tutorial in the app, but I tried to design the whole thing so that it's super intuitive without having to learn anything new. Anyway, with the latest new updates, we're getting closer and closer to the functionality the official app has... and in many ways have already surpassed it. But there's still a lot of work to do, I'll admit. There's still so much to do, I can only hope you'll be around for the ride. Anyway, thanks for reading guys! I am sure there will be some questions about how Swipe is better than Frost, or Friendly, or Maki, or Folio, and I will be more than happy to answer them. Ask away! Cheers! Edit: First 25 people to comment here will get promo codes. Edit2: Apparently, telling people "don't forget to updoot the OP" when you send a code counts as vote manipulation. My bad. Got suspended for 3 days, so can't comment/PM. 🤷♂️ u/happeningstudios will be sending the codes out! Edit3: All out of codes guys! There's always next time! And really, the free version is great too - give it a shot! [link] [comments] |

Vysor, AirDroid, etc. Alternative ? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 01:23 AM PST Is there any mirroring app / service which does not require installation on PC ? My computer at work is not allowed to install any programs, drivers, libraries. Thanks for help. [link] [comments] |
Is there an app that you can use to easily save your parking location? Posted: 27 Feb 2020 08:38 PM PST I'm imagining having a widget on your home screen that you can tap to quickly record your parking location and then tap again later to clear your location. Google maps had the option for this if you navigate to a location by driving, but I don't think it has the functionality I'm describing. [link] [comments] |
google calendar: How to set irregular appointments? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 03:19 AM PST I work a few days a week. The days are different each week, but the times are the same. And I know the dates months in advance. How can I add all of those entries in google calendar in bulk without going crazy? Is there an add-on? Can you do it in the browser perhaps? If possible, I'd like to stay clear of calendar apps with ads. That's why I would love for this to work in google calendar :) [link] [comments] |
App for splitting audio files into multiple files? Posted: 27 Feb 2020 09:14 PM PST Does anyone know of an app for an audio editor where I could take a longer audio file and split it into, let's say, 10 smaller audio "tracks?" Any help would be great! [link] [comments] |
A gallery app that segregates 'starred' images Posted: 27 Feb 2020 11:13 PM PST Hi I'm looking for an app that can let me see 'starred' images in a separate folder within the app I'm using OnePlus 7T. I've an album full of vacation pictures and I want to upload some of them on FB. But I don't know how to segregate the chosen ones. I'm currently using OnePlus gallery app but it doesn't separate the selected images. Thanks in advance for your suggestions [link] [comments] |
