Gonna stay a couple of months in Beijing and I want to get a phone that can be used in my country, sadly the chinese versions don't support the bands from Chile so I wanted to know if anyone knows where can I get global versions 😢

I put an image file by mistake next to my songs, now all the songs that didn't have a cover have that image

It's driving me insane, I even deleted image file and the music app and installed it again, nothing changed!

Redmi Note 8 Pro bricking issue - devs want Xiaomi to pay attention to problem.

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 03:06 AM PST

Some times ago xda-developers wrote about xiaomi's attempt to stimulate mtk roms development - company released sources and sends some devices to rom devs from xda-developers. But devs faced dificulty - this phone is (as many mtk phones) prone to bricking, but (not as another mtk ones) unbricking process required xiaomi service account, which is inaccessible outside authorized services. So now development stalled despite community and large number of devs - just because it is impossible develop firmware on phone which can become brick at any move without ability to restore it quickly and continue.

Now developers, and some other guys from chat trying to get Xiaomi to pay attention to the problem. If they have success in it,i think whole community will win - because it will mean more development for further mtk phones (i think RN8Pro is not last:)).

So, you can join if you want - retweet #Note8ProBrick on twitter, or try to contact Xiaomi support, or, if you can, contact them other ways. Xiaomi produce decent hardware, and it will be nice if they became more friendly to enthusiasts.

Mi smart outlet firmware fails to update

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 07:36 PM PST

I have a pair of Mi smart outlets and both refuse to update from their current version 1.3.9 to 2.0.4. I even tried a factory reset with no change. Is there any other way to update these besides the app or some trick to forcing the update?

MIUI Dialer on Mi A2 Lite

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 09:33 PM PST

    Hi guys!

I was installing lots of custom ROMs in my Mi A2 Lite, including a MIUI11 ROM. So I really liked the MIUI dialer and its functions, so now I'm wondering if it is possible to install the MIUI dialer on my Mi A2 Lite? Now that I'm using SuperiorOS, a Pixel experience based ROM

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 03:50 PM PST

Are there fake Haylou gt1 pros?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 08:37 PM PST

I recently got my haylou gt1 pros and everyone seems to be praising its sound quality but I think it's just ok. Did I get fakes? Are there even fakes of this specific item? The redmi airdots a few months back had fakes all over the internet.

    Mi Mix 3 5G Android Q?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 08:08 PM PST

So I have a Mi Mix 3 5G running Android 9 with the latest Stable version of MIUI 10, however, and this is where it gets interesting, when I plug in my phone to my computer for USB tethering, and Android Q icon appears in the notification bar for the USB tethering option.

It's strange that there are elements of Android 10 in this build. Here's hoping that MIUI 11 for the Mi Mix 3 5G is based of Android 10.

    Fake airdots?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 03:06 PM PST

    Hello,

I got my airdots today, did some research and I think I got fake ones so I want to ask few questions that I couldn't find an answer for anywhere else. These are the global version named Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic

    http://imgur.com/a/DYoiADo

    http://imgur.com/a/hVjhWsh

They play quite decent I'd say, I don't have much to compare to, people said they play like normal random headphones you would buy for that price. Range is as stated 10m but sometimes they cut off randomly. I bought them from Chinese seller on popular polish site that stated they're original, seller had like 4.89 stars, 3 month old account and 83 reviews with 100% rating.

    1. First weird thing is that when I double click right side they skip the song, when I double click left side it goes to previous song/play song from beginning meanwhile they're supposed to turn on voice assistant ?
    2. There's nothing under the earpads on the piece you put to your ear
    3. The R and L on them is questionable quality
    4. The earpads aren't transparent in any way.
    5. Print under the case is questionable quality, also I think there's a typo.
    6. It gets shitload of fingerprints and gets quite greasy, didn't notice if that's also the case for originals so idk...
    7. also, there isn't a manual, just a warranty card and it's quite normal, in black and white as in original.

Please, any type of help is appreciated because idk if I should return them or not.

    Mi home app

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 03:15 PM PST

Today my mi home app just randomly stopped working. After some fiddling around I decided to uninstall it, reset the lights I had connected and install it back. Now, trying to set up my Mi desklamp, the app gets stuck in "Getting info". Any help?

What is the best custom rom ATM for the MI 9T Pro based on Android Q?

I read about Pixel Experience but I also read that the fingerprint scanner isn't working great on that rom.
