| Posted: 15 Dec 2019 10:16 AM PST I'm looking for the best live wallpapers for Android that are more or less trippy (colorful, hypnotizing visuals) and react to touch. Best made with AMOLED in mind or customizable enough. My current live wallpaper is amazing Magic Fluids, I previously used rather minimalistic AMOLED LiveWallpaper, and I also enjoyed Atomus HD, but it's not enough for me. I'd probably use ShaderPaper or HexShaders if they were interactive beyond some extremely subtle gyroscope shifts. Even parallax scrolling would be nice. Any recommendations? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 15 Dec 2019 08:26 AM PST I remember to have used a couple years back an app called CatchACharacter known for its website iCaughtSanta to choose from a small catalog of Santa Claus overlays to place over pictures you may have of your house, for a quick way to show your kids santa dropped by to leave this year's presents. Thing is, that app is so downvoted in the store that it makes me wonder how bad it might be in terms of privacy and overall quality. So I was wondering if you guys know about some other apps that can deliver similar results? Maybe a simple collage app that has a bunch of 'stickers' of sorts that works include pictures of Santa that I may use to edit a picture of my Christmas tree and place it 'on top'? I have the feeling there might be a much better, safer and cleaner to do the job in a similarly easy way. | how do i stop android from arbitrary rotating my pictures? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 04:31 AM PST every 2 or 3 pictures i take this phone rotates my pictures which i don't want it to do it. Lets say i take a picture vertical, the 3rd picture rotates it to horizontal, and same when i take it horizontal. it really pisses me off. | I can't keep K-9 anymore, unless someone has any idea why I can't retrieve old emails? Posted: 15 Dec 2019 04:57 AM PST Hi guys, In 9 days I will have been a K-9 user for five years and when I first switched, it was the perfect android mail client for me. It is still the perfect client for me save one issue that I have been trying for more than 12 months to work out, live with, or workaround however the other day this issue created a pretty serious problem for me professionally when I was unable to produce a document during a negotiation that spanned 30 minutes. Firstly, it could likely not be a K-9 issue, the application in every other aspect works flawlessly. It operates more than 10 email accounts ranging from Exchange, O365, to my custom stuff. Some of the folders are massive, some of the customer facing folders are greater than 100GB in size. Unfortunately other email clients don't seem to suffer from my issue. The issue: To be fair, this very well could be a provider issue, the O365 mailboxes via IMAP are completely broken. The issue happens each any every time I search for an email that is not held on my device for these mailboxes. The only problem is that I cannot replicate this issue with other mail clients that I have been trialing. FairEmail for example finds emails from 2015 just as fast as K-9 and will let me launch an attachment in around 10 seconds. My attempts: I have tried everything I can think of, does anyone else have any ideas? I love K-9, everything else is bulky, messy, ugly, pretty, or doesn't suit me. I am about to move to FairEmail, after completing a 12 or so week trial of it as my secondary app, but I would prefer to fix this problem. Any ideas? If it works automatically that would be a charm too. I just upgraded my Drive to 2TB and I want my photos to be uploaded there encrypted. | WhatsApp dark mode(a little update) Posted: 15 Dec 2019 05:24 AM PST A while ago, i posted a "how to" to get whatsapp darkmode on android. I had to edit a couple things I am using "solid explorer". The only one that works correctly on Android 10. - if you find another file explorer that allows writing to system, let me know Open File Manager and head over to the root partition. Then go to Data > Data and navigate to the com.whatsapp folder. Go to the shared_prefs folder and search for the com.whatsapp_preferences.xml file. Now add the below lines to that xml file, anywhere inside the <map> and </map> tags. This one line of code is, in fact, responsible for enabling Dark Mode on WhatsApp on rooted Android devices. <boolean name="dark\_mode" value= "true" /> Please note that there has to be a space between boolean and name and the qoutation marks just after mode and before value= "value wont work Next, tap on the floppy icon to save the file. Now just force close WhatsApp and re-open it. Finally, head over to Settings>Chat (this is verified. i only had settings before and I think a few people got confused because they didn't see the theme option Force close whatsapp then open it. | Music Player with 'Music Square' Posted: 14 Dec 2019 03:44 PM PST I have been looking for an app with 'Music Square', It's a feature of the old Samsung Music player that categorizes your music based on mood so you can choose if you want something exciting or calm, joyful or passionate. As I sad it only has this in the old versions. I tried installing the old version from xda but it didnt work(crashes at launch). I looked at couple other apps but nothing.
