OnePlus OnePlus 7pro is the peak of smartphones

OnePlus OnePlus 7pro is the peak of smartphones

OnePlus 7pro is the peak of smartphones

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 12:02 PM PST

After using iPhones and Samsung Galaxy devices I switched to the 7pro when it released earlier this year. I've always been a big phone guy so the one plus size was cool. I was excited for warped charge and 90 Hz display but what has been the best feature for me is the screen. Precisely the fact that it's all screen. No notch no bezels no hole punch looks just perfect. I don't see myself going back to a phone that has any cutout on the display. With the OnePlus 8 leaks showing a hole punch camera it seems like moving parts on phones wasnt well received so I doubt we will see more pop up cameras in flagship phones. Honestly I believe until they manage to get under the display cameras to work I won't be changing my OnePlus 7pro

    How's your 3/3T doing?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 07:30 AM PST

Inspired by the post asking about the 5's. I still haven't found anything that slows this thing down. No scratches, looks like it came right out of the box, battery gets me a decent 4-7 hours of screen time.

    How's your OP5/OP5T doing?

    Posted: 14 Dec 2019 09:52 PM PST

Haven't seen people talk a lot about this phone here lately. How happy or unhappy are you with the phone? How long are you planning to keep it as your daily driver?

In my opinion, it's still a good phone. About 5 hours of screen-on time with the original battery. The only thing failing on me was the charging port after about 2 years, but luckily its easy to swap.

Screen Issue with my 1+ 7 pro

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 07:25 PM PST

There are many errors in the touch screen, it doesn't touch where I want it to.

Sometimes when I'm writing a sentence, say I'm writing "behaviour", it spells, "bejaviour".

Would flashing different software solve the issue?

7 Pro not switching to data automatically

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 03:10 PM PST

So for some time now, when I go outside of WiFi coverage, my 7 Pro doesn't switch to data by itself. I have to manually reset the device every time. This is becoming increasingly annoying. Is there a fix to this?

What I want to see on the 8

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 08:18 AM PST

    Notification LED:

I don't want the actual little hole to return, but I'd like to see them utilize the punch hole camera to make a ring every couple of seconds to let you know you have a notification. On top of that, when you first get the notification the curved edges of the screen should light up like Samsung does.

    Battery Charging Indicator:

Basically the same thing as the notification led, but when the phone is plugged in and the screen is off, around the camera hold should light up much like the circular battery icon on the 6t (and maybe all other OP phones? I don't really know). This is what I'm envisioning for the camera light.

    Edge Screen Utilization:

Before I switched to OP from my old S7 edge, I was worried that I would really miss the little tab that Samsung had on the edge. While I never used it that often to begin with besides for its calculator function, I still think OP should give us some functionality with the edge screen, because without it I feel like all it's entire purpose is to look cool and make it harder/more expensive to replace the screen.

These are just some little things that I hope are implemented, obviously pretty much all this is taken from Samsung, but I feel like they know how to design an amazing phone, yet they can't beat OP in the OS arena and pricing. If there's anything yall might want to see, let me know!

PSA: If you missed out on the holiday deal for Wireless Bullets

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 05:55 PM PST

I reached out to OnePlus regarding the latest holiday deal since I felt ripped off when I bought the OP7T just barely a month ago. Apparently, if you are still within your 15 day period, you can contact Customer Support and request Wireless Bullets and get them for free.

Fnatic mode sucks on Android 10.

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 05:38 PM PST

Ever since I got the update on my 6T the only thing I really miss is the DND feature. That feature is the only thing that saved me from losing internet connection if I'm getting a call while gaming. Now it still blocks the call but I lose connection like I would if I declined it manually.

    6T vs Pixel 3a XL?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 06:32 PM PST

    Considerations...

    1. Battery life: 3a XL is one of the best on the market; is the 6T at least reasonably competitive?
    2. Price: about equal on Swappa, around $300.
    3. Software quality: the XL isn't perfect certainly but I keep seeing complaints about Oxygen bugs even on the 7 series. Is the experience on a 6T still reasonably good? Likely to get Android 11 next year?
    4. Speakers: I imagine the 6T wins hands-down since the XL speakers are mediocre at best?
    5. Camera: I'm sure the XL wins, but is the 6T competitive using the Google camera API?
    6. Fingerprint reader: they both have in-screen readers right? Any big difference in reliability?

Thanks! I've read plenty of reviews of both phones but had no luck finding reviews that compare them head to head in detail.

    Before buying Oneplus 7T?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 02:40 PM PST

I'll try to keep this straight to the point. Basically, I've been looking into getting a new phone. The Oneplus 7T has really gotten my attention, as it seems like it's very popular right now. My question is about the 7T on Verizon. Is it compatible with Verizon Wireless? I've seen people say it is, but every listing I find on any website like Ebay, Amazon, etc all say it isn't compatible with CDMA networks like Verizon. Will this cause any issues if I get the phone? Also, separate topic, I've seen some people concerned about battery life. Is this a real issue I should be worried? That's one of the biggest reasons I'm upgrading from my S7, the battery life.

Can the Warp Charger Brick of OnePlus be used to charge other things?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 09:35 AM PST

Does it affect other things because they don't support warp charge?

Can I charge for example some Sennheiser headphones using the Warp Charger Brick and the Sennheiser cable?

    6T reboots OOS 10.0.1

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 01:49 PM PST

Anyone else's 6T randomly rebooting? Mine just did it three times in an hour, was scrolling through facebook and pressed on my battery icon in the notification shade and had a reboot, wasn't doing this yesterday and I got the update a couple of days ago.

Dark mode problems after the update

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 05:20 PM PST

Hello I've recently discovered a bug when Dark mode is applied. when I'm in the settings and dark mode is applied, while scrolling through the options I've noticed that the options dime and fluctuate a lot, its actually disturbing for the eye. But as soon as the light or colored mode is activated everything goes back to normal. I've made a video showing this but it doesn't let me post it here. If the support could look into this that would be good. P.S: this bug also affects Twitter and Instagram.

What don't you like about the 7 pro?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 11:21 AM PST

All the YouTube videos seem to gush over this phone.

Not being very critical in any areas.

Just wondering what real owners think of it?

And, if there are any major issues.

Does anyone else torrent on their phone? How can I stuff my OP7pro from shutting off my client when running in the background?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 05:18 PM PST

So I like torrenting Linux distros on my phone to help seed (it's 100% legal btw, so nothing illegal). But if I leave the client running in the background for a while, my OnePlus 7 Pro shuts it off after about an hour or so. This makes it impossible to torrent overnight while I'm sleeping. I even turned on my torrent app's built in keep CPU awake feature hoping it would keep the app active but it would still shut off after some time. Anyone else manage to solve this problem, I'm using LibreTorrent as my client btw.

Chat feature keeps disconnecting sporadically on OP7 Pro

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 04:48 PM PST

Anyone else have this problem? I'm using RCS and every once in a while it switches back to SMS and the chat tab says chat isn't ready for my device. But when I force close messages and I'm able to set up and use RCS again.

Is there a solution for this? Thanks.
