I just took this photo with my 6T of the Night Sky in the middle of a big city Posted: 31 Dec 2019 09:31 AM PST https://i.imgur.com/jCkw9XW_d.jpg?maxwidth=5000&shape=thumb&fidelity=high It would be probably way better without light polution, but nonetheless, these phones can take awesome night shots! I used GCam for this. [link] [comments] |
Oneplus 7T Pro - Global or Chinese ROM - How can I tell? Posted: 30 Dec 2019 10:54 PM PST I have the opportunity to purchase a Oneplus 7T Pro - seller says it was purchased in Singapore. Is there a way I can see what ROM version it has from the box? I would hate to buy the phone and it has a Chinese ROM installed EDIT: I'm proud to announce I'm the new owner of OnePlus 7T Pro - (Glacier Blue) - it's a global ROM, my full google/android profile was reloaded In minutes. I'm sooo happy! Seamless consuner expereince.. This is my first OnePlus so I'm stoked to me part of the OnePlus.. Gone are my Xiaomi days Thank you for all your assistance- overwhelming feedback - what a community! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Dec 2019 05:49 PM PST So a friend of mine just got a 7t pro 5g mclaren. One problem he has with all of his phones, is that he works for a welding shop and metal shavings get into his phone speakers constantly eventually messing them up. I was wondering, do you guys have any leads on cases ( however bulky or pricey they may be) that have some sort of cover over the speakers? or something along those lines? The one that i've found is this: https://www.amazon.com/Foluu-Aluminum-Shockproof-Silicone-Kickstand/dp/B07RXBYG5Z/ref=sr_1_6?crid=24LDMM1AK1OOS&keywords=oneplus+7+pro+dust+proof+case&qid=1577843331&sprefix=7+pro+dust%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-6 But the reviews are meh. Thank you guys! hope this is ok to post here. [link] [comments] |
Home gesture goes to default launcher OP7Pro Posted: 31 Dec 2019 03:32 PM PST Seems like this issue has cropped up after the last update. When ever I perform the home gesture it goes to the default one plus launcher and then when I hit home again it goes to my default Nova launcher. Navigation buttons go to the correct launcher when I go home but gestures do not seem to work correctly any more. [link] [comments] |
Any way to set the Google app as a full screen discover page similar to a Pixel? Posted: 31 Dec 2019 04:58 PM PST So far the only feature I've really been missing from my old Pixel XL is swiping left to see news, stories, etc. presented in the google discover section. I know the info is still avaialble in the google app, but I was wondering if there was an app or setting that would allow the google app to remain open and take up one of the home pages similar to the Pixel's software. Posted: 31 Dec 2019 03:14 PM PST Is there an solution for this? No matter which app - if I switch or reopen it... It always refreshes!!! [link] [comments] |
Those using a third party launcher, why? Posted: 31 Dec 2019 03:09 AM PST I've paid for and used Nova Launcher in the past and used it on my Samsung and Huawei devices but I've never felt the need to use it on OxygenOS. I'm curious as to those who use a third party launcher in OOS, what are the reasons for it? What is the default launcher missing? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Dec 2019 02:40 PM PST why did oneplus ruin the notch hide function????? the status bar is now pushed down when i choose to hide the notch!!! There is no reason to do that it annoys the hell out of me. really disapointed [link] [comments] |
Oneplus 7t battery life better than 7 Pro? Posted: 31 Dec 2019 08:56 AM PST Does the Oneplus 7t have better battery life than the 7 Pro? If so, is it significantly better or not really? I am using the 7 Pro but possibly just for better battery life I'm considering getting the 7t. Could someone who has preferably used both phones let me know? On my 7 Pro I usually get 4.5 to 5 hours of total screen-on time and I'm wondering if I would get more on the 7t... Thanks! [link] [comments] |
T7 not connecting to car Bluetooth Posted: 31 Dec 2019 03:08 PM PST My new T7 isn't connecting with my 2017 Corolla. This is a deal breaker if I can't get it to work. My car has never had an issue connecting to any other device, and I've been able to connect my phone to two other Bluetooth devices. I tried clearing the cache and storage, and played around with what few settings I could find, but nothing will work. The phone sometimes sees my car's signal, sometimes not, but it'll never connect. Android 10, xbox one controller drift Posted: 31 Dec 2019 06:49 PM PST My issue involves an xbox one controller where the right stick will drift downward... I was given a controller from a friend and he said it worked fine for him, but I ended up buying myself a new one for Christmas (treat yo self)... and lo and behold, my brand spanking new one has the same issue. Slight, but definite downward drift from the right analog stick I paired both up to my xbox and played for a bit and neither of them drifted there, but both do when connected to my phone. I've updated the firmware on both controllers and am currently on the latest open beta one my OP7P. The games I've been playing are COD mobile, Shadowgun legends, Minecraft, and KOTOR Anyone have any ideas? [link] [comments] |

Can I shoot in pro mode with the other lenses? Posted: 31 Dec 2019 10:57 AM PST So as said in the title I own a 7t and I am really happy with the camera performance but I would like to have the freedom of shooting raw in other formats as well, thus I was wandering if it was possible to shoot in pro with the the other lenses. I have tried but if there is I haven't found the option. Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Dec 2019 08:41 AM PST Just wondering after the recent data breach did anyone effected (specifically in the UK) take any action against oneplus? I've been in touch with them myself and they have made an offer to me (discount on a new phone) but I'd like to hear from others if they have been offered anything from oneplus [link] [comments] |
Pixel 2 Xl vs Oneplus 5t. Same price. Posted: 31 Dec 2019 06:25 PM PST The pixel is actually a little cheaper. Which should I buy? I would go pixel but I use a lot of ram and recently pure stock android has been buggy for me. But Camera and updates tho. [link] [comments] |
Any player with blur padding to prevent burn in? Posted: 31 Dec 2019 12:22 PM PST Hello, is there any Android video player able to reproduce blur padding effect instead of pillarboxing as shown here: https://developer.newspark.ca/mediadetail/25718494?groupId=11663&top=11655 or at least something dynamic without zooming in the video? I assume that would eliminate burn in risk while consuming 16:9 videos without sacrificing content. The only possible problem with that is battery drain due to extra calculations. Here is an example of 16:9 content caused marks https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePlus6/comments/9a7a6j/burnin_from_169_video/ [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Dec 2019 05:37 PM PST Last week when the Oxygen OS update 10.3.0 came out I downloaded it and installed it and that's what I'm currently on but just a couple days ago I received a notification that stated I had an update available that is also 10.3.0. Any thoughts? Should I update? [link] [comments] |
Why is this question hard to answer Posted: 31 Dec 2019 11:23 AM PST I have tried multiple outlets to get a response and have been unable to get anything other than something along the lines of we are currently unaware. My question I believe is fairly simple.
Don't mean to come off as rude just genuinely curious. [link] [comments] |
Where to get Qualcomm drivers for conversion to international Posted: 31 Dec 2019 01:32 PM PST I'm following instructions here to convert my OnePlus 6T from T-Mobile version to the international one. I cannot for the life of me get the device to connect with the software. The thread seems to indicate this is due to missing Qualcomm drivers. In spite of several snarky comments in the thread, I'm not at all able to figure out how to install them. Does anyone have clear instructions? [link] [comments] |
I have a OnePlus 5 and the charging cable started to rip. I need some help Posted: 31 Dec 2019 01:29 PM PST I don't know if the warp cable on the OnePlus website works with my dash charging brick/adapter. Any help if it works or not? Or where to get a dash cable? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Dec 2019 01:12 PM PST I just recently bought the One Plus 7 Pro, after living with an HTC One M8 for over 5 years..so I'm pretty new to what dash, and warp charging is and holy cow, what a feature. My question is do I have to only charge with warp charge and the cable/adapter the phone came with? Is this bad for the phone ( I plan to keep the phone for as long as I can) is there another cable for slow regular charging or dash charging ( I just read dash and warp are different?) My battery control habits are pretty safe, never below %20 or over 85%, and I switch between 90hz and 60hz occasionally. Lastly, is it safe to charge the dash/warp cable through a car adapter and usb ports? Thank you, I LOVE this phone and would love to learn as much as possible about the phone and keeping the battery safe and healthy. [link] [comments] |
Nice Christmas gift, T-Mobile. Posted: 31 Dec 2019 12:35 PM PST I made myself a promise that if I won't get a 10.x update on my 7 pro from T-Mobile I'll switch to international. 9.5.1 was running butterfly smooth, completely flawless with zero issues, while I've read about people's issues with 10.x on international, so I decided to wait. I told myself "hey, at least it's stable, plus not all of the software is optimized for Android 10, plus I did not want to waste time with backups & restore and doing the whole process again once I'll have to give the the phone back to T-Mobile". And here I was, got my t-mo update a few days ago. Which made my device feel laggy, which had animation glitches. I'm not sure who should I blame for it, OP or T-Mobile, but after all I'm thankful that it convinced me to finally switch and boy oh boy my device is fast a rocket again with the latest updates without glitches (10.3.0). No network issues (got sim unlock from xda guys prior to switching), no hotspot problems, even VoLTE works (which did not on t-mo even though I turned it on manually). So if for some reason you're still waiting, don't, switch to International. Happy New Year to all. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Dec 2019 08:42 AM PST I've been using the Google dialer to keep the Google theme consistent, is anyone else using a different dialer or are you happy with the oneplus dialer? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Dec 2019 08:37 AM PST Just a FYI for OnePlus users. I've just tested a Anker 7 in 1 usb c hub with the OP7T and it works great, essentially mirrors the device screen. [link] [comments] |
Recently bought a OP7Pro, what case have you been using and how long? Posted: 31 Dec 2019 03:59 PM PST I wanna know what most people have bought and are happy with/would recommend I'm trying to find something similar to an otterbox commuter, with high cushion at the top and bottom in case it ever fell that way. Right now I'm looking at dbrand's grip [link] [comments] |
