Posted: 29 Dec 2019 04:18 PM PST UPDATE: Seems like the camera has just become smarter than when just released (doh) - it only shifts to the telephoto camera if it REALLY think it is needed instead of every time you zoomed as it did in the start. I could force a camera change by pointing my camera at a lamp, zooming in and out and alternate which camera i have covered with a finger. Original post: It seems like when my OP5 was new you were able to use both back side cameras, eg. when you made 2x zoom it would clearly shift camera to the telephoto one. Now (and for a long long time) the 2. camera seems to ONLY be used to make the bokeh effect when selecting portrat mode. It is never used in any other modes for anything. How come the use of the secondary camera got scrapped almost totally? Seems a bit wrong that they sold the phone with a telephoto secondary camera at the start, it it is actually only used for bokeh effect? (This might also effect other OP phones? IDK. Try holding your finger over one of the camera on the back, take a picture, and take a normal picture without a finger over a camera - is there any difference in any mode or any zoom level?) It isn't the app itself as I tried to use other SMS apps to retrieve the messages. A few things which displeases me from my current abode is bloatware and overtime slowness. Battery charges takes almost an hour. I'm not a fan of appleLand. Too much restrictions from that planet. Not huaweiLand, someone banned GMS from entering its hemisphere. Convince me to enter your planet. I have used my long range telescope to study. Ecosystem is good. But have not tried oxygenOS before. Camera isn't as good as Samsung. I'm not really a camera person. TLDR : convince me to get a oneplus 😁 [link] [comments]  |

The only way to hang up after that is to ask the person I called to end the call or reboot the phone. People have listed this as an issue on Google Play and I haven't seen any resolutions. First sometimes apps disapear but they are still there but you just cant see them ... Pretty weird tbh.... | Posted: 29 Dec 2019 05:51 PM PST Coming from iPhone/Samsung, I used Apple Music and Samsung music to play local music files, but there is no built in music app besides Google play music on the OnePlus (Google play music is terrible for local files). Apple music on android doesn't support local files, and Samsung music isn't available on OnePlus phones. I've tried some third party apps (stellio, Deezer, Poweramp), but they all have so many flaws that Samsung and apple music don't have. I love everything else about the phone, but Music is a huge part of my phone experience, and honestly I'm thinking of trading the phone back in for an iPhone or Samsung if I can't find a good app. If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate them. My OP3 used to click better pictures in low light tbh. Nightscape improved a little bit since Android 9 but it still feels a lot like oil painting with no much real detailing. | Posted: 29 Dec 2019 04:13 PM PST I have a very strange problem with USB tethering, which was working fine on my OP3T for the past 3 years. I suspect some update to be the culprit. When I tether, I can receive and send packets (a simple ping to google.com with the console proves it), but in no way can I load any page in firefox or chrome (even google which is responding to my ping). Same for apps like discord, can't connect. But somehow, I can play specific multiplayer games on steam just fine. I supposedly have no firewall restriction, and usb tethering with any other phone works just fine. I tweaked my APN settings to no avail. Any other recourse ? [link] [comments]  |
