Dear OnePlus, for the love of God... Give us the option to use Google feed instead of the shelf. Posted: 27 Dec 2019 01:35 PM PST Making it exclusive to T-Mobile versions is confusing, dumb and complete nonsense. Thank you. Edit: I know I can use a 3rd party launcher, but gesture navigation doesn't work well with them. And that's a deal breaker for me. Also rooting my device will break the widevine L1 certification, another deal breaker. Edit2: Please guys, I appreciate the effort.. but stop suggesting solutions (such as lawnchair). This post isn't about that. [link] [comments] |

I own a Note 10+ and I'm eyeing the $499 sale on the one plus 7 pro right now. Have some questions. Posted: 27 Dec 2019 04:18 PM PST First off I don't have any gripes with my note 10+. I love it. However... That 90hz display keeps pulling at me. As a fit who has a 144hz computer monitor I understand the smoothness. The things I know I will miss: Wireless charging. I have a real nice dual wireless charger and my Tesla has wireless charging also. The stylus.... Sometimes? Mainly for screenwriting and screenshots. Microsd card. Self explanatory. I have some questions: Will it still work fine with my Galaxy watch and Galaxy buds? How's the battery since I will likely now only be charging it over night? I can pick the 7 pro up for $500 and likely sell my note 10+ for around $700 so I'll essentially make money in the deal, however, I paid $1100 for it when it came out. Thoughts? Am I missing anything? Do it? Don't do it? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Dec 2019 08:54 AM PST I can confirm, having multiple OnePlus 6T devices, the only fix is to acquire a new SIM card from your carrier. Something during the process of updating doesn't update the carrier information on the SIM properly and ultimately breaks the functionality of MMS and group text in most messaging applications. If you are not under contract with carriers like Verizon (using pre-paid services), there is a chance you will have to visit the carrier directly. This only happened when switching the card out on my mother's phone. I was told by a representative at my local Verizon retailer that this is a verification bug in older, grandfathered-in accounts. Good luck to all, and have a magnificent New Year! Never settle :D [link] [comments] |
What's with the Android 10 update? Posted: 27 Dec 2019 12:59 PM PST So I was super hyped to find the Android 10 update waiting for me yesterday. A day of use later, I'm already seeing several changes that I'm not sure I like.
What's with this? I liked OxygenOS because it's zippy and clean. This update seems to have taken away from this somewhat. [link] [comments] |
Is tmobile (unlocked) 7 pro worth it for $370? Posted: 27 Dec 2019 12:37 PM PST Hi everyone. Looking for some opinions on the 7 pro. I found one locally for 370, but it's the T-Mobile variant. Is it worth it at the price? Currently using a 5t and considering the upgrade. Any downsides to getting a tmobile one? Thanks! Edit: thanks for the help everyone. Decided to go for it and so far already feels fast [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Dec 2019 07:04 PM PST Right now, the 7 Pro is going for cheaper than the 7T, which is making it a very hard decision for me. I really don't want a curved display, which makes me want to go with the 7T, but maybe it is not worth it just to have a flat display. 7 Pro (6gb ram): 669$ CAD 7 Pro (8gb ram): 739$ CAD 7T (8gb ram): 799$ CAD I am upgrading from a Note 4 (Goodbye removal battery :(). Hopefully this new phone will last me another 5 years. [link] [comments] |
Can my service provider detect hotspot/tethering using a 5t? Posted: 27 Dec 2019 06:50 PM PST I'm wondering about any of you who don't pay for extra hotspot, but still use it anyway on your phones. Is there a way to block them viewing my tethering? (I think I can with PDAnet, but I haven't checked. [link] [comments] |
Oneplus 3 Replacement Batteries Experiences? Posted: 27 Dec 2019 06:05 PM PST I've been looking around and it seems that there are many different kinds of batteries available, and I wanted to see if anyone had experience with different batteries that were available. [link] [comments] |
No more "App installed" notifications since update to Android 10 Posted: 27 Dec 2019 12:48 PM PST I updated my oneplus 6 to Android 10 and started experiencing problems. Widgets were no longer refreshing and notifications stopped showing (e.g. no info at all when play store as updated or installed an app). Finally I did factory reset which seems to have helped with the widgets. However Play store notifications are still totally missing. I get notifications when an app is downloading but after that nothing. I've checked the app notification settings and tried setting every play store notification to important, which did not help. Any ideas on how to restore Google play notifications? [link] [comments] |
Yet another adaptive battery post Posted: 27 Dec 2019 05:12 PM PST Has anyone who has left it on long enough to let it learn actually seen a big improvement in battery life? The first few days I had my McLaren the battery was atrocious, typically down to 40% by the time I got off work, but now with identical usage it's around 70% every day now. I think everyone yelling to turn it off didn't let it do its job. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Dec 2019 05:09 PM PST How do you change your steps counted to miles instead of kilometers?? Also the android 10 update almost doubled my battery life so make sure you upgrade!! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Dec 2019 01:21 PM PST Love the way this phone takes video and lasts way longer than a GoPro but makes me nervous that this phone is not considered waterproof. I'm looking for a case I can take ice fishing/snowmobiling that is waterproof. Suggestions? OnePlus 7 pro [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Dec 2019 06:27 AM PST I just updated to 10.3.0 on Tuesday (12/24) and I'm now having an issue where I'm not receiving all of my texts. Occasionally I won't get a notification that I've received anything, but I go into the conversation and it just says "Message is expired or not available" and I'll just never get a message. It started doing it Tuesday night right after the update. Anyone else having this issue? Of so, is there a fix? I have a OnePlus 6t on OS 10.3.0 on Verizon using the Messages app from Google. Oneplus 6 Android 10 all photos gone Posted: 27 Dec 2019 04:35 PM PST I just updated and now I have no access to any of my photos or saved images anymore. They still take up the same amount of storage space, but none of my apps can access them. File Manager just shows that I have 0 images, video files, or documents, and when I try to use the image upload function in Discord it just hangs and crashes. Trying to connect my phone via USB doesn't work either. The phone simply will not show up. What's going on? This update has been horrible. My web browser also constantly crashes; I can't even use it for a full minute without a crash. Am I simply out of luck? [link] [comments] |
Unlocked directly from manufacturer? Posted: 27 Dec 2019 11:18 AM PST If you order a OnePlus phone directly through their website, do the phones always come unlocked? I didn't see anything about this on the website or throughout the ordering process [link] [comments] |
Keyboard stops working after phone locks OP6 Posted: 27 Dec 2019 09:17 AM PST If I have an app open and lock the phone and come back to it later, the keyboard doesn't type in the app. The keys will change from upper to lowercase and the predictive text boxes keep changing with each key press. So the keyboard is receiving input, it's just not outputting to the app. It doesn't matter what app it is. If I lock the phone and unlock it, whatever app was open will have to be closed before I can type in it. The app functions otherwise. Facebook for instance, I can still scroll and view photos, just not type. Using Gboard and this problem only started after Android 10. [link] [comments] |
OP7PRO: Redish hue at very bottom, software or defect? Posted: 27 Dec 2019 07:41 PM PST So I purchased a OnePlus 7 pro a while back, and I've noticed that there is a slight Redish hue at the very very bottom of the screen. Ive also noticed that when I push the app up and go into multitasking, I can still see it. Is it just software that kinda just has a fading hue at the bottom? Do any other OnePlus 7 pro owners notice this? Edit: I think a better description would be that it's brighter at the very bottom, not necessarily red (but looks more reddish in night mode). Occurs in every app. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Dec 2019 07:25 PM PST It's set as my default SMS app, but the notification sound I get is the one set for regular notifications. [link] [comments] |
Newest update removed 2 button navigation bar Posted: 27 Dec 2019 07:14 PM PST So upset, I loved that option. I don't understand why they removed it. [link] [comments] |
How to tell what bands you are using for Carrier Aggregation Posted: 27 Dec 2019 07:09 PM PST How can you tell this info with OnePlus phones? For example, on Galaxy phones you can use the dial pad to get into the service menu. As long as you are running a speed test, or something that engages CA, you can see it in the service menu. Anyone else unable to use RCS? Posted: 27 Dec 2019 06:30 PM PST OnePlus 6T, says my carrier doesn't support it but if I use my old Pixel 2 it turns right on. [link] [comments] |
7 pro or 7T pro (~$30 in price differences) Posted: 27 Dec 2019 06:15 PM PST I've been looking around for a new phone and I have been following oneplus devices for quite some time. Many people say that the 7T provides way better value than the 7 pro at their original price but I've saw promotion where the 7pro is just $30 more than the 7T. And the 7 pro has 256GB of storage while 7T has 128GB. So my question is whether the 7 pro is worth it more compared to the 7T is this case? Thank you for your feedback [link] [comments] |
Does my Warp Charger "Dash Charge" my Bullets Wireless 1? Posted: 27 Dec 2019 06:08 PM PST I just got a OP7T recently and I notice that I haven't really reached the 80% level after 10 mins of charge. Can anyone please verify this for me? [link] [comments] |
