HTC Device not certified users, did you flash an HTC RUU before Pie? |
Device not certified users, did you flash an HTC RUU before Pie? Posted: 18 Dec 2019 10:17 PM PST Greetings Reddit, So I am investigating, and nagging HTC, regarding the Device not certified issue. Yesterday I discovered that my phone in in fastboot is showing the software status as modified. This means that my at some point in the phones history it was unlocked and possibly rooted which would explain why Google is saying it is not certified in the Play Store. There is just one problem with this, I have never rooted the device and the reseller has confirmed that my phone was sourced directly from HTC and sent straight to me. The only thing that we can think of is that by flashing the RUU file for an unrelated problem has caused the problem, my last RUU that I flashed was this one: RUU_OCEAN_WHL_O80_SENSE90GP_MR_NA_Gen_Unlock_2.42.617.1 So my question to those who's devices are not certified, did you flash this RUU? Is it possible that the RUU has something in it that has tripped the software status? [link] [comments] |
