Train times/Journey planner app for UK. What features should I implement? Posted: 26 Dec 2019 09:59 AM PST The official National Rail app is a disgrace and all the rail operator apps are focused on selling tickets. I'm building an app that gives you live train times, alerts for specific trains and wake up alarms as well as a nice widget. It'll be free and have a really nice UI (going to use it to show potential future employers and hopefully write some articles about some of the UI implementation). Features I can think of right now:
I've already worked out how to get all the relevant data from National Rail (PITA but working now), so should be able to release within a month (no promises)! [link] [comments] |
App to keep list of all installed app Posted: 26 Dec 2019 07:15 AM PST I install and uninstall a crap lot of app weekly.. sometimes daily, so I was hoping if there was an app that could let be record a list of app I install and if possible allow to write remark(so that in future i require I could just see that remark and download that app again). I know google play store has library but it is clumsy and ineffective for my need so, I hope somebody can suggest an app for my need. So to summarise *Make a list of install app both presently on device and those uninstalled *Allows to write a remark *Already tried Glextor manager and organizer. Guess what I am saying is an automatically excell sheet of app, that get update whenever i install an app. Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
What were your favorite apps of the decade? Posted: 25 Dec 2019 12:18 PM PST Mine have to be Nova launcher, Google assistant, and the biggest: Playstore. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Dec 2019 10:44 AM PST Haven't been too impressed with Leena or Sentio, they seem buggy, battery hungry, or just to have a poor UX generally. [link] [comments] |
How to get rid of app badge in gmail? Posted: 26 Dec 2019 09:36 AM PST To be clear, I need the app badges in gmail. It's just that I hVe no unread emails and no notifications. But still the app icon has a badge. I tried opening the app and closing it. I tried to clear all running apps. Why is this happening and what should I do? [link] [comments] |
Looking for an app that can do positional touch data collection Posted: 26 Dec 2019 07:50 AM PST I'm trying to make an AI that can use some apps in a way that humans would. To that end I need data as to where a human presses, how long... during the usage of the app. It would also be a bonus if the app is capable of recording the screen at the same time. I've been trying to find an app like described, but since this kind of data collection is kinda shady it's hard to find a legit app that is capable of all the things I wrote. I would love to get suggestions on non-shady apps that fulfill those demands. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 26 Dec 2019 09:34 AM PST Has anyone cloned the reddit app using appcloner? I am running it on a Pixel 2 XL, and I have the pro version of Appcloner. Issue: What I have tried: Any thoughts on what I should/cloud try next would be greatly appreciated. TIA! [link] [comments] |
Need a video editor which can do this Posted: 26 Dec 2019 06:41 AM PST I need a video editor which can take a selected part from a video and repeat it 5 times, several times. For example, if the original video has information in sequence a b c d, I need to make it into aaaaa bbbbb ccccc ddddd. Thank you very much! This would have been much easier on a PC, but I don't have access to one. [link] [comments] |
Delta Chat: Messaging app killer? Posted: 25 Dec 2019 08:32 PM PST Delta Chat Website - I'm not affiliated in any way Just randomly browsing GitHub as I like to do I came across this app. It's a cross platform email client which automatically encrypts your messages, (after the first one), in UI which looks and feels like WhatsApp. It's cross platform and cross provider. In my initial testing I've gotta say, it works pretty damn well and the encryption holds up, (although, if your device is compromised, bye bye encryption), with both text and attachments. Hell, they've even used read receipts to give the same sent/read notifications that you get in those annoying messaging apps the likes of Facebook like to chuck at people. You will want to disable notifications for messages sent/received in your normal client to avoid duplicates, (or set up a server side filter), if you're using the same email account as you typically would, but other than that... I'm wondering if this might be the beginning of the end for SMS and instant messaging apps as more and more people become aware of it and others like it because it's essentially turning email into a chat app without a single point of failure, with built in encryption, in an interface which requires zero technical knowledge at all, (which is usually the main barrier for people wanting secure email). What do you guys think? Could it have mass appeal? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Dec 2019 06:09 AM PST Hello, recently bought S10 but cannot find any app that can play music with the ability to view albums that are sorted by artist name. For example, I want to be able to see ed Sheeran's albums together in album view, which is how apple music and iTunes sorta their music by default. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Guitar Toolbox - A metronome, guitar tuner and chord library in one app Posted: 26 Dec 2019 12:03 PM PST Hey everyone! This year I decided to tackle a new challenge, and that was the creation of an android app. After lots of work I'm finally proud and also completey terrified to be honest to publish the very first version. Download it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...toolbox.guitar Features:
That's just an MVP version though, I have quite a lot of other features I want to add, including dark mode, a chromatic tuner, more customization for the metronome, displaying more info about chords (notes and intervals, that kind of stuff) and a lot more. A few words of warning: Working with the microphone (for the tuner) is tricky, especially on cheap chinese phones. I've done my best to make it work but I haven't been able to test it on hundreds of devices. If you encounter problems in that area I would greatly appreciate a word so I can look into it. Also I'm in the EU, so you'll be greeted by a GDPR dialog. Rest assured that I don't plan on doing anything nefarious with your info, I just use Firebase (Analytics&Crashlytics) and Admob. Feel free to comment, leave a review if you like it, and more importantly enjoy the holidays! [link] [comments] |
Recurring task feature in a task/calendar app? Posted: 26 Dec 2019 01:58 AM PST There is a bunch of things I want to fold into my life related to health, such as doing cold therapy maybe twice a month, a sauna once a month, eating mollusks once a month, doing a 24hr fast once a month, yoga twice a month etc. Google Calendar has Goals, which works sort of like what I want - you set a task and a frequency and it books it into your calendar. However it's a bit inflexible and not very visible in terms of a backlog. I really like having a backlog of tasks next to a calendar where I can plug the tasks into the calendar where I see fit. So really I want to know if there is an app that has task management features INCLUDING recurring - ie 'every month add X task to my backlog'. Plus a calendar (bonus) Even just a Kanban with the recurring feature would work [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Dec 2019 07:18 AM PST I want to use the data on my phone. I haven't gotten wifi set up yet the tv does have chromecast. I know the tv has USB port for mp4 videos, and two HDMI ports. Don't know if it supports mhl yet. I do know my phone does not support mhl. Can I still use a micro USB to HDMI cord, or does my phone have to have mhl no matter what? Also if the tv supports mhl, but not my phone can I still use the HDMI cable? [link] [comments] |
Samsung secure folder won't show my apps? Posted: 26 Dec 2019 10:35 AM PST VERSION: 1.3.03.34 I just got a galaxy tab S6 for christmas, and this version was loaded on the tablet. I set up my email and password, and am able to access the secure folder. Let's say after I'm done, i decide to lock the folder or come out of it. When I come back and enter in my password, it brings back up the secure folder SETTINGS, but not the actual folder with my apps. I tried tapping every single option in the settings and using the backspace button on the screen, and on the tablet itself and I can't see my apps again. Why is this? My galaxy s9 isnt like this but I do have an older version installed that has the launcher in the app still... sigh.. [link] [comments] |
Anybody know any equalizer apps that run in the background with a pitch and speed adjust setting? Posted: 26 Dec 2019 02:14 AM PST I like listening to my music in a lower pitch and speed. I already have a music player that allows me to adjust it easily but I'd like an equalizer that'll run in the background so I can adjust the speed and pitch when I'm using Spotify [link] [comments] |
New Mi Claculator (Miui 11) Alternative ? Posted: 26 Dec 2019 09:33 AM PST With Miui 11, they introduced Mi Calculator which bundles in with Basic calculator, bill split, Currency Convertor, Convertors for area-volume-age-percentage-discount-date and various other Convertors. The problem with the app is that while installing, the app requires way too many permissions such as location.. Looking for it's alternative which bundles in with this many options. Trying to find an icon pack I used to have Posted: 26 Dec 2019 08:59 AM PST The gimmick was that the logo or other part of the icon would be cut out, so you could see the wallpaper behind it. Anyone know what it's called? I'm about to go digging for an old phone that should still have it installed but figured I'd ask [link] [comments] |
Automatically sends preset message when a widget is clicked. Posted: 26 Dec 2019 05:13 AM PST Hey guys. Is there an app which has a button(either in the app or on the home screen) which when pressed sends a message to preset number with a preset message? It would be for opening/closing of a gate that is set up through a msg system. Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
