- Whenever I try and connect my phone to my WiFi network, it doesn't work and says failed to obtain ip address. I have tried all the basic stuff and every other device connects to the WiFi. My phone also connects to other WiFi networks. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Posted: 08 Dec 2019 05:25 PM PST My Oneplus 6 (USB-C) Charging port has stopped functioning properly, it stops charging as soon as I move the phone slightly, or sometimes randomly, the cable doesn't fully go into the connector it appears. I did what I've always done and cleaned out the port with a safety pin and toothpick. This didn't seem to help at all and the phone still refuses to charge. What can I do to make this work? | Facebook Marketplace has grey borders on tablet Posted: 08 Dec 2019 01:07 PM PST I'm using the LENOVO TB-X104F, and the Facebook App. Everytime I view a post on the Facebook Marketplace section, it adds these grey borders, as seen in this photo: https://i.imgur.com/tIDLUBl.jpg The grey borders are pretty annoying since they cover up the page, and I'm looking for a way to get rid of them. I already tried force stopping, clearing cache, restarting the device, changing the font size of the tablet, and nothing seems to help. Does anybody have any insight on the situation? Like for example my friend says to the assistant, "Set a reminder to take medication at 2pm every day." And then at 2pm every day, their voice assistant says out loud, "Here's a reminder, take medication." I tried to get the Google Assistant on my Android phone to do something similar but instead of saying my reminder out loud, it just displays a written notification on my phone. I can't figure out how to get it to say the reminder out loud. Is there a way to get Assistant to say the reminder out loud instead of just displaying a notification? [link] [comments]  |

I dictate to my phone and the voice-to-text normally does an excellent job of translating my voice into text. At least it did, until about a week ago. At that time I noticed a bug where, while I was dictating text, the voice-to-text software would insert all of the text that I had previously typed randomly at the end of the line, in a sense duplicating everything that I had typed. It's extremely frustrating. I have a moto Z3 which can only cast to Chromecast. Apparently there is only one or two lines of code restricting the better casting feature. Seeing as Samsung was able to get rid of this, how can I make it so I can cast to a Roku or LG webOS tv? Is there an app that doesn't just bring me to the same screen that searches for a Chromecast or do I need to change the code. If so how [link] [comments]  |

Even if I'm holding my phone vertically, I wish fullscreening a horizontal video would rotate it and actually take the full screen instead of simply centering itself in a black screen. It got out of headphone mode for a few seconds, but it switched back to headphone mode and it hasn't been able to be fixed since then. | Media Management Help on Fire HD 10 Posted: 08 Dec 2019 04:15 PM PST Hey all, I recently got a Fire HD 10 and a micro SD card with plans to load up the SD card with a bunch of music and movies and give it to my brother for Christmas. I was hoping to be able to use an app like Plex or something similar to read the data off the SD card and sort it into a library that he could browse easily. Plex doesn't seem to work that way on the tablet. Thus far, VLC seems to work the best, but it doesn't really provide things like movie posters or properly sorting into albums. I tried ES Explorer, but I couldn't get the movies or music libraries to pull from the SD card. The SD card I'm using is currently in portable mode so I can put stuff on it from my laptop. I'm fairly new to android, so I might be missing something obvious. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 08 Dec 2019 04:01 PM PST Before I got a phone that has wireless charging I just used a magnetic mount that had a thin metal plate as a sticker on the back of my phone and a 3m mount to the front of my dash. obviously I can't have a metal plate stuck to the back of my phone and still use wireless charging in the house, so i'm looking for options that still allows for a 3m mount to the dash, I've never liked vent mounts or suction cups. wireless charging would be a bonus, but not a requirement. suggestions?
